I mix some brown sugar in the rest of that can of tomato sauce and top mine with that for the last few minutes in the oven. And you're right; there's not much better than a meatloaf sandwich the next day 😋 ❤

They all enjoy meatloaf and we usually make an extra one to make sure we have enough for sandwiches the next day. We made this a couple of nights ago using refreshed dehydrated green bell peppers and refreshed dehydrated onions. The meatloaf was excellent as always! We've been experimenting with dehydrated and freeze-dried products in recioes we've tried and know to be amazing! Thanks for another video, y'all! 🌞

Meatloaf is always a moms recipe. I use ground beef and roll of reg sausage salt dried minced onion crackers milk 1 egg and some ketchup. I love seeing other ways to make it. Looks great
A good prep tool to have is a grain flaker or grain roller. It produces rolled oats and rolled grains. I bought a German Schnitzer Flaker back when I first started to prep in '07 / '08. It was pricey back then and is even more pricey now. Grain flakers help in a number of ways. If your teeth are shot as mine are, you can make the grains easier to chew by rolling them before cooking. And most important...if you are short of fuel, flaking grains reduces cooking time tremendously. And if you are lucky to find some fresh grains, such as fresh oat groats, rolling fresh grain has much better flavor than old store bought rolled grains, such as oats. Some grains don't roll well and you may have to steam them lightly before rolling. And some grains don't roll at all no matter what. You test this all out by rolling various grains and cooking them before SHTF. Don't wait until it is too late to educate yourself.

I use hunts meatloaf seasoned tomato sauce. 1/2 can in meatloaf. Topping with other half can with ketchup,mustard,brown sugar,Worcestershire sauce and dash of tobasco. The best topping ever. Everyone loves it. So flavorful!

Love meatloaf. With both sausage and ground beef and sweet baby Rays bbq and seasonings and Italian bread crumbs and onions. Then when almost done put bbq sauce on top and cook few minutes till sauce caramelizes a little and boy it’s good.

Also made Mandarin Orange cake. Probably the only cake that's ever been finished around here in 3 days. DO NOT substitute the cool whip, pudding, pineapple frosting...it makes the cake double delicious. I'm gonna make some to eat right out of the fridge 😅😋.

I was gonna say, I don’t like the taste of the cooking oats as well, I haven’t made anything with oatmeal for yrs now because, I thought the taste of it had become a bit Suspicious, I still love my instant oats! This looks really good. I love meatloaf and will have to give this a try. I have never heard of using gravy mix though. I looked in your favorites on Amazon and did not see any listed. I was going to order some and give it a try. I love your videos and I love how you teach people how to cook and I always learn so much every time I watch one of your videos. I would love to see one on how to cook liver and onions. My grandmother used to cook this with gravy and creamed potatoes but I never paid attention to how it was prepared but I loved eating it.

Try adding some dry mustard to the other topping ingredients. Yum!

Looks delicious! I cook my meatloaf on a foil lined broiler pan. All the grease drains away and clean up is easy.

I saute the onions so the meatloaf doesn’t have a sharp onion taste. The onions become sweeter because of caramelization 3:23 .
