I've been shooting with the FUJIFILM X-S20 for six months now and I continue to be amazed by its incredible dynamic range. Such a small camera produces such great results!
@@-windycitysammy- I haven't used the iPhone 15 Pro Max. I am sure you can make great masterpieces with it. But it has a tiny sensor, no physical buttons, just internal memory, you can't change lenses, no way to see the screen from difficult angles and many more things. It has 12 stops dynamic range, but I don't know about Log and bitrate. It's a great tool for everyday photography, but it's more than just a camera. You use it for games, socials, watching videos, planning, storing, Whatsapp, and it will definitely be dropped several times (or it falls off something). Let's not forget phones that are used heavily for daily tasks usually don't last longer than for 2 to 3 years (+ software that intentionally slows it down), where a good camera can last you at least 10 years. So, quality wise, it might be able to let it compete. But eventually, smartphones can't keep up.
Yup! That is why I bought this camera. Best deal in videography. I want to try shooting anamorphic 6k with a Sirui 1.25 squeezer to get classic 1:85 aspect cinema look from the 1:5 aspect open gate 6k and see hoe movie-like that looks.
Been on to the sony cams but just came across this cam on tiktok and already in love with the quality and specs of the cam. i am wondering what the over heating was like for you shooting in such high quality? how long did it last? it's more than likely how i will film alot of my content
Hi! During this shoot, I actually had no problems with overheating whatsoever. I have the camera now and there will be a video review soon where I will address overheating as well. In the description, there's an url with the written review (in Dutch, but google Translate helps). :)
Love the color grading on this one. Is this all handheld? Coming from Lumix IBIS I know Fuji is a little worse but with stabilization in post it should be fine.
Hi! Thank you for the compliment! And yes, all is handheld. I was never used to filming with in-body stabilization, so when this started to be incorporated into cameras, it made handheld shooting way easiest. I did add Warp Stabilization, though. :) Have you seen my full review on the camera?
@@cameradeals I did actually be for I've seen this because I'm actually deciding between the a6700 (not a fan of the color science but the 120fps is super nice) and the X-S20 (easily my favorite color science especially for landscape and cheaper). Still can't decide but very useful information
@icyearth I am recording my Sony A6700 review and X-S20 vs A6700 review as we speak! You could always subscribe if you'd like to see them when they're out. I actually do enjoy the colors on the A6700 as well. Very sharp images in both photo and video. You can see my A6700 4k 120fps result here: ua-cam.com/video/DhN5C-owtas/v-deo.htmlsi=I9ppKWMvEIjvQhh3 :)
This is why I got the xs20! It's the most underrated camera at the moment in my humble opinion. Have you tried shooting video with the film simulations?
You made an excellent choice! In photography, I think the black-white simulations are great because they help to frame differently and see other things. In video, I like the Eterna Cinema filter, but I prefer that standard profile or Log. This video was shot with the standard filter, so no filter. I am recording the X-S20 review as we speak!
I think you made a great choice! I will be doing a video review, with recommended settings, of the X-S20 soon. I recommended this camera to my girlfriend as well, and she bought it! When you film or take photos with little light, you might want to crank the ISO up, but always be careful. I'd say not to go over ISO-2000 when filming. In photo mode you could go up to 4000, but you'd have to remove noise in Lightroom or Photoshop. I used the XF 50-140mm F2.8 R LM OIS WR and XF18-55mm F2.8-4 lenses and tried to keep it a f/2.8, shutter 1/50 and low-ISO. I used the standard color profile. I hope this helps and let me know if you need more information :) I didn't translate the writen review to English yet, but this is my review (with settings) on the X-S20: www.cameradeals.nl/algemeen/camera-reviews/fujifilm-x-s20/
This is best footage from XS20.
Thank you so much! I'd love it if you could support me with a subscribe! I'll be uploading an in-depth X-S20 review later this week as well! :)

At that point, I sadly didn't have an ND with me.. So yeah. I cranked the shutter :)

Did you experience any overheat issue?
Yes, it does tend to overheat. Not long ago, I was taking photos for an hour inside, and it started giving overheating messages...
