Nostalgic. Lived in Kampala for 3 years. It's incredible nightlife erases the torture of day-time traffic. Outside Kampala is unspoiled and refreshing vegetation. Uganda is endowed.

Are you sure?

I've been to alot of chaotic bodaboda cities in Africa but nothing beats the Kampala boda boda experience.
I went to high school in Uganda. I always dreaded commuting to school because it would take forever
@@daddyjasonssepuya4991 I went to school there and i saw plenty of obese people
The "roundabout" with sculpted "traditional drums" you pointed at is located in Mengo, it's called "Kabaka taweta" which translates "The King never turns", it has a direct route through, specifically for him(the king of Buganda-the Central part of the country) whereas other people go round it as its meant to be. The route traditionally moves direct from the King's main palace of Mengo to the Kingdom courts.
Look at my name.
@@MichaelMengo wow😊😊that's interesting, where do you come from?
Okay, I know I haven't been in Uganda in over 6 years but a lot has changed. Those flyovers that are being built 😱😱. Like when did it start? And also that was a good payday for the boda boda guy. 50K. I definitely do not miss the traffic and commotion in Kikubo lol

@@MichaelMengo that's wonderful brother👌
Chaos meter: Jo'burg is mild, Nairobi's moderate, Kampala's seriously hectic...and Lagos is extreme. Shout-out to all those cities.
I think Nairobi is more chaotic than kampala
@@oraach Nope!
Word? Lagos is more chaotic than this?
@@oraach you clearly have never been to Nairobi, there is organised traffic and then there is this.
@@davidcornel2060 If you say so.... I live in Muchatha and I don't love going to the city... There is no spot in Kampala that Compares to that area between river road and the offshoots to kirinyaga Road and Yom Mboya..... Am I wrong? Oh I live in kampala too... And I don't like noth cities...😀😀😀😀
I am Ugandan and even I can’t go to those chaotic places you went to.😊 You are so lucky that you made it back from Kampala town with your camera/phone.😅 Glad to see you here in our beautiful country.🇺🇬 Enjoy!
I was looking for this comment. Like how did he make it back? lol
A tourist is always safe in Uganda when you move around with a professional tour guide

Indeed he luckily has made it with his gadgets safe
Where's the lie
OMG IM SUPER HYPED TO VIEW ALL YOUR VIDEOS OF UGANDA 🇺🇬!! I honestly think you’d make great friends with Ethan Kavuma. Your personalities are SOOOO similar and he knows all the great places to hang in Kampala 😊
I love how you say "petrol " you're South African for sure🎉🤣
Nope, he's Ugandan. We also say petro here🙄🤣
You can't claim Julian as an African, sorry. He's an American, WE claim him He is touring Africa, he's not from there.
@@VibeWithVida stop with your negativity who doesn't know he's American? Anyways by nationality yes but fact that he's black 🖤 we can claim him oya shooopp...move over and continue staying in that racist country you not wanted over there and Europe constantly killed and told to go back to Africa shathaaap!
Uganda gifted by nature... The best comfort zone I have ever known in this planet earth.
The monument at 18:09 is of a long drum ‘engalabi’ split in half with
Buganda Kingdom regalia in the middle.
It sits on the Royal Mile road (‘Kabaka Anjagala’) from the Royal Palace of Buganda to the Buganda Parliament.
The junction is known as ‘Kabaka Nantawetwa’ meaning the King doesn’t go around. It’s only the king of Buganda who goes thru it from his palace to his parliament.
Was looking for this comment.
African countries handle pandemics and scary outbreaks much better than the western countries. They contain these outbreaks very good and isolate quick. Within no time the outbreak never affect the larger population. You will be fine.
Enjoy Uganda and please be safe! The country is really beautiful and I'm happy that you're learning Swahili 😊❤
Thank you 🙏🏽
@@JulianAlbino Ugandans don't speak swahili
@@teresiawachira1034 Wewe umeishi huko gishagi ata kiswahili hujui unadhani kila mtu hajui, Tembea EA hadi Waburundi, DRC wanaongea kiswahili
@@sshem Ugandans don't speak Swahili. You go to Rwanda and Burundi and you'll find more Swahili speakers than Uganda.
The reason why ugandans don't speak Swahili is because they associate to military soildiers in those days of wars. During the time the soilders used to stage road blocks and rob pple while speaking in swahili
That's awesome Julian 😫❤️ I wish you all the best and travel safe.

There's no airport in Kampala 😅...... The only airport we have in Uganda is the one you landed at: Entebbe International Airport. The place is called Entebbe, not Kampala. And again, most Ugandans don't speak kiswahili. That's for most Kenyans and Tanzanians. In Uganda you'll be good to go around with English. Because we have more than 23 local languages
Thanks for watching😘
We actually have more than 40 languages
The boda guy took you to downtown kampala its always chaotic and the business and hustle part ...visit uptown ..like kololo, nakasero, lugogo its more organised with modern malls like acacia mall and fancy resturants and you should try the night life ...in kampala around kisementi area its the best in the region ...visit jinja , munyonyo speke resort and western Uganda ..uganda is very diverse otherwise enjoy your stay karibu UG
This guy's a fool all he is looking for is the bad side of a country ..did you show the homeless in America ..do you show how many homeless people in California ?.10,000s..but in Uganda though it's chaotic ..we have few homeless
@@babsinnocent6287 don't be emotional. He asked to be taken to where chaos is. That's where the thrill & authentic adventure is, for Travellers dear. Downtown kampala is literally a heartbeat.

I would've never guessed you were going to Uganda next. Enjoy ❤️
the wooden like structure split by a shield and spears is a traditional drum of the Baganda ppl called "Engalabi"
I’m so excited watching you in Kampala!
I love the chaos!😍
Organized chaos hahahahaa Julian is funny🤣🤣
How did i not know about you😂😂 Julian your a vibe...just bumped into this channel and damn i love it..its nice having you here in Uganda but fyi the Kampala night life is amazing it kinda makes you forget about the day chaos😂😂 enjoy your stay.
Thank you!
Julian that’s the Buganda King’s palace round about. It leads you to the palace itself!
Welcome to Uganda 🇺🇬. Hope you enjoy your stay here 🙂 Uganda is so friendly and welcoming.
Hope you learn some Luganda too🙂
Hey Julian, thanks for visiting our Country and touring downtown. That place you asked someone to mention if they know its name- Place is called Mengo, Kabaka anjagala road. The two big pillars are only used by the king of Buganda while using that road, He doesn’t go around the roundabout
Kampala nightlife is like everyday. 5pm to 5am
Every year I go to Kampala and am
American 🇺🇸 I love it

The fact that you came to my Country 🇺🇬 l am definitely subscribing. Been watching some of your videos that popped up on my timeline but never had l subscribed.
The title is so hilarious😂😂😂 It had to be Uganda!!!
😂
That's called "Kabaka anjagala" in luganda meaning "King loves me"....its the gateway for the king of Buganda coming from his Lubiri(Palace) to his office or the lukiko (legislative) without going around the round about. And that lake is the Kabakas lake (it is man made and I don't think it has crocodiles.
At around 18:29, that's Kabaka's round about, so that's a local drum statue, divided into two, to make way for the king (kabaka) to pass through when he travels. It's always closed for anyone else but the King of buganda (a central kingdom)
Wow!
The president of Uganda is jealous of the adoration the Kabaka has.he wishes to be the King

I like this guy that he does not go by media stupidity. Otherwise he wouldn’t have stepped in Kampala due to the Uganda stance of gat rights and the recent Ebola outbreak. There is alot more than what the media says

Thank you! Will do!
You should stay in Entebbe. No traffic, low population and a high foreign population. You would like it here. I hardly go to Kampala for anything and if it's urgent, i shop online.😅 Hope you enjoy your stay.😊 You don't have to struggle to learn Swahili to communicate in Uganda. It isn't used anywhere.
It's used by police 😞
Why should one visit a country to keep around with other foreign people instead of locals?it doesn't make sense lol and Swahili is the second national language in Uganda,it's state language which is used in military as mandatory and police prison and most spoken in northern and eastern Uganda ,West Nile and some parts of western uganda bordering DRC Congo, Tanzania
