- OMG I knew this day would come and it is here! I am FORCED to leave the beautiful country of South Africa...for now. These are my last 48 hours of living in Johannesburg, South Africa (the best city ever, IMO) I meet up with friends, check out new restaurants in Sandton, discuss the Cost of living in South Africa, and the tourist visa process for US passport for South Africa, and where to stay if visiting South Africa.

Finally a channel that showed South Africa for what it really is and showcased what we can offer not just animals, I enjoyed every minute of it hopefully all Americans can come and enjoy the same vibe you did and have a cultural exchange and we are more than just safari!

Hi Tshepo we met at the airport on your day of your departure, was with my son. I was starstruck, my son saw that and quickly stepped in to help when u wanted directions hahah. U r way taller in person than u seem on the videos I must say. I already know which country u are going to as u told me but won't spoil the fun so I won't answer and I also kept my promise not to say anything till u post. I hate people who do that, and most of the time it's white people. When they want to visit Africa, the first and only thing they look forward to see is the wildlife, safari blah blah. I'm like that's fine but it's annoying because it makes it sound like we have nothing more to offer when actually we have the best people, cultures and vibes. Africa is not all about animals, which is why I also dislike movies like the Lion King because when people think of Africa they think of it as this exotic safari because the Lion King gave them that feeling. I remember on Twitter there was this other African lady (I think she was from Kenya) who asked when would Disney have an African princess, then this other white person responded by saying "we did something for Africans, you have the Lion King, remember?". Everyone was like "so are you trying to say we are animals?".
So you're right, it's annoying. Julian exposed a much better and holistic perspective about an African country, which many people are not aware of.
Omg yes… finally someone sees it from my perspective. Every time when internationals come all they want to do is safari it’s so annoying and there is so much more to do. We not out here saying we want to see a bear or a raccoon… we want to experience the people and culture. Why don’t they have the same aspirations. This channel showed me interesting places that I have never been and I want to so kudos to Julian amazing channel.

South Africans are so friendly and welcoming. Sorry to hear about the mishaps and that you weren't well. Thinking of your well being but I'm also thinking about all the excellent content opportunities that were missed! Anyway, you have done justice to South Africa. Here's hoping that all your journeys everywhere you go in Africa will be a triumph.
Everybody is friendly and welcoming when one is a tourist spending money. With a 1st world passport.
Things change when one wants to settle down and find work.
S. Africans have killed/slaughtered foreigners ( fellow black people, too) who settled down and started businesses or looked for work there.
Those people are still dead.

@@JulianAlbino it’s embarrassing but, I have lived in the UK, England and Wales for over 12 years and never been to Portugal although that’s where my surname originated from. I have heard great things about Spain and Portugal. Have done Germany, France, Poland, Czech Republic. I MUST visit Barcelona sometime, and I suppose I will have to go find some relatives in Portugal at some point.

I also miss the small things about South Africa. From having petrol attendants to actually having your take away meal at the restaurant nicely packaged by the waiter or waitress.

I’m from Cali and I been to SA 3 times! Next month I’m going to Joburg for 3 months as well. Already booked my return flight. Yea they will send you back and you can’t come back for a 1 year or so
