This is what I was looking for too. After only 2 years my worx extended hedge trimmer stopped working for some reason. I think this might be my replacement
Thanks for the incredibly clear shots of all parts of the tool and how it works and moves, along with having a tape measure with bold, clearly visible markings. Awesome video! 👍
Thanks for the great review, it convinced me to buy one for the tall hedges we trim. A great compliment to the dedicated Ego Power hedge trimmer we use. Much safer than using a ladder for the tall hedges.
If it hasn't been said yet, yes, the replacement handle works. I have the same setup, 1st gen powerhead + attachments including the hedge trimmer. One of the first things I did was buy the QR handle for it. You can also use more than one extension. I'm told up to 3 max, but I haven't tried it as I only have one so far. UPDATED: The new handle fits on the powerhead. I did not try to install it in either the extension or the trimmer
Hey, thanks for the detailed review. Looks like Amazon put the hedge trimmer attachment on sale around the time you posted this video. As of Aug 20, 2022 Amazon is selling it for $186.49 which is the lowest price for at least the past 30 days. Shipped and sold by Amazon, so the Ego warranty would be in effect.
@@KhmerH20 I ended up getting the hedge trimmer attachment for the Ego multipurpose tool. Although it's heavy, I've grown to like it and feel that it offers a really good level of precision in shaping shrubs and hedges just the way you want. The trick is to hold the attachment not at the handle but rather lower down on the shaft, so the weight of the whole unit is balanced across both hands. That makes it much easier to use, and allows you to really fine tune your cuts.
After using the multi-head with the pole saw, you might want to try the big battery on the tool instead of the backpack. The added weight seems to better balance the head. Also, I have 2 of the extensions. Not recommended by Ego, but sometimes the extra reach requires the awkward length.
Happy to know we can use 2 extensions at the same time. I have 15 foot hedge and a trimmer with a ladder i awkward to work with, have my two feet on the ground will be a lot easier. Thanks for confirm that !
In my opinion, this multi-head hedge trimmer is WAY too heavy and awkward for normal use. You can't easily adjust the handle to compliment the blade angle when you adjust it. I am a mason and work with heavy and awkward materials every single day and I have to say, this particular EGO attachment is ONLY good for trimming objects VERY HIGH!! I have used this tool extensively, with and without the EGO strap and it is simply a nightmare to work with on regular homeowner projects. I'll be purchasing the DEDICATED carbon fiber hedge trimmer ASAP after using this ridiculous tool again today. Besides the weight and absolute awkwardness of the tool, it will reach out long distances. If you aren't extremely strong in your shoulders and back, don't even bother purchasing this to use on anything other than nearly vertical. Holding the weight of this tool horizontally is essentially out of the question for most people. I can only do it for a minute and then have to completely switch arms. Get the small, dedicated hedge trimmer for regular use and this tool if you only need to access objects high in the air.
100% agree! Is there any way to shorten the overall length of the product, so that the balance may be a bit better? This thing is an absolute beast. Works well, but it's so heavy it's dangerous.
Finally!!! someone who made a 'let's see how long' video! Well done and thank you!
Glad the video helped you

Glad it helped you 👍🏼
You do a fine job not having a camera crew! 👌
I also use my hedge trimmer as a power scythe for my small field. way faster than mowing.
Interesting never thought of that
I just picked up the pole saw attachment. This is next in my line of purchases.
Very impressed with the reach especially with the 18 foot holly bushes

When will you do a review availability and price for ego model snt 2125 ap snowblower thanks
Detailed, maybe overly detailed examination of the product but not really much the functioning which is what really matters.
Nice 25 foot tape measure 💚 I wonder if you can add multiple extension pole?
Works great 👍🏼 and no it looks like you can't add more than one from what I've seen.
Great video thanks!
Thanks Chris
Where can you get the extension ?
Here you go

Your double dipping on the subtraction of length.
I like the reach

Great technology but i dont think it will last more than 10 years.
