I still have a few to get. For my needs I’ll need the cultivator attachment and the hedge trimmer. Very good demo of each attachment, you honestly help me to make informed purchases 🤙🏽
FYI if you hold the hedge trimmer down, adjust the cutting blade like a hocky stick. It takes a long messy job of cleaning out tall sturdy weeds that the string trimmer can't cut. And makes really no mess at all.
I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.
I am sold on EGO products. I started with the first generation 20" push mower (self propelled not available) in 2014 and have since acquired many of the implements. My most recent is the multi head system with the edger attachment to start off. Next was the new Zero Turn Z6 mower (awesome) Now that is a lawn mower. Next is the Select Cut 21" self propelled mower (also a fantastic twin blade mower). Next the 575 CFM blower, the early 14" chain saw and lastly the 24" hedge trimmer. For the batteries I have the 2.5Ah, the early 4Ah, the 7.5Ah and 4 of the new 10Ah batteries. Guess you could say that I am hooked on EGO products. Great video you produced for us plain folks. Keep up the info on all there products.
Just got the multi head system with pole saw and the trimmer. I’m hooked. The power behind these tools is insane. Probably going to sell my gas weed eater and blower and go all in on the EGO line of tools
Great video! I have an eight year old 36 volt Stihl 21" mower that I love-never,never going back to gas! I've seen tons of UA-cam content on Ego,and would like to try one. I am looking for a power head that can spring clean my lawn. Would the rubber paddle or the bristle brush attachment be best for light de-thatching? Thanks!
Bought the new select cut XP, 650cfm blower, edger/multi tool, and carbon fiber trimmer because of your videos! Thx for the videos I love my new equipment!
Does Ego lawn tractor would you suggest for a 1 aces yard? I would rather have a tractor because I use a trailer and I would also need a leaf bagging attachment. Thank you I learned a lot from your videos.
I use this tool system regularly. I have a huge issue when it comes to taking them off the multi-head tool. No matter what attachment, they get stuck, and I have to fight to pull them from the power-head. I ensure the arrows are aligned, the lock clamp is loose, and the button to release is held down while pulling. I guess it's a job for WD40
I bought this version years ago. With the trimmer attachment but I don’t care for the trimmer at all. It’s heavy. I prefer the curved version of a trimmer. I think I mentioned it in your other video. But the reason why I got this multi attachment version was for the pole saw and other attachments but at that time they were $100 each. Cheap to me at the time. Now they are $150 a piece lol. I’m still waiting for them to go down. I should have just bought the attachments back then. They had them on amazon for $99 during Christmas time. But so far haven’t lowered the price. I have been waiting for years now lol. Now it’s just sitting in my garage
I have the trimmer and cultivator attachments and love them both. The trimmer is a bit heavy with the 5ah battery, but not too bad. The attachments switch out quickly and stay in place once locked.

just wish I hadn't already bought the trimmer and hedge trimmer before the multi system came out. I also have an EGO blower and bought an EGO self-propelled mower two months ago and love it. I hope to some day get the multi system with the edger, chain saw and tiller for use at my volunteer job at Habitat for Humanity.
I've purchased a few separate attachments for the multi head system on Facebook Marketplace. I'm constantly checking to see what people have listed at a really good price. I'll only buy items still in the box that are new though.
We pay exorbitant amounts of money to get this shipped to Australia. Would be heaven if every brand had interchangeable batteries but profit over rides any altruistic concerns
Came back to watch this again after your newer one. Can you change direction for the power brush? Looked like you were shooting snow forward and was backwards on the brush.
I wonder if the kombi system attachments from Stihl would fit this power head? I have a ton of those attachments for my stihl powerhead, but have the e-go lawnmower and it would be nice to go completely electric, but not lose all the money invested in the stihl attachments.
I have the EGO mower (self-propelled push), and a snowblower. I am in the market for a blower, a hedge trimmer, a weed Wacker, and that saw attachment looks great. This looks like it can cover most of my needs but how much does it cost? As a package deal or the power head and one or two attachments to start with? I have been impressed by the EGO line, and like that the batteries are interchangeable. I also drive electric in a Leaf. I love that too.
:05 Looks like you have the fins on backwards. They should be overlapping the middle to minimize the middle spot that's missed. But I guess your way might make getting in corners better?
Would the EGO POWER+ Multi-Head System Rubber Broom Attachment work on grass to clear out walnuts the size of peaches off the lawn? Will it damage the grass while sweeping the walnuts?
Need to know: what sound does the Power Head make with no attachments running? I'm asking b/c I just got my set in and when I attached the battery and run it, it seems to be VERY loud for an electric, brushless motor. I have the Ego folding trimmer and it is QUIET whereas the Power Head is exponentially louder. Is this normal?

EGO Power plant attachments the batteries or three times the price if you stick with Milwaukee you can use M18;batteries that will run your power plant your attachments and all your tools you cannot see this forEGO I looked into this batteries are so expensive for the EGO, System
I have the edger head, trimmer and the chainsaw. I really like the tools, however it's too heavy for me to use it for a long time and the fact that I have to hold down the button to keep it running and the vibration it kind of ruined my right-hand thumb. 😞
I bought a Stihl multi system. COULD NOT REMOVE THE ATTACHMENTS. it was in the complaints but under my 12% limit to still buying! lol this seems like a better attachment system
I got the trimmer last year and added the edger about a week ago. I've been looking for a cultivator. I just watched your video, and see that Ego has a cultivator attachment. I can't wait to get it.😍
I bought the LB 650 blower for my business this spring and it's been great so far. I had stayed away from their trimmers because the head spins clockwise. To my surprise I found the ST1530 which spins counter-clockwise like a gas powered trimmer. It's a little heavy at 13.83 lbs. with the 5 ah battery but well balanced. I just received this yesterday so I'll be back soon with my thoughts on the ego dedicated trimmer.
The more I use the trimmer the more I like it. Excellent for edging, surprisingly. Today I used it on 3 properties and had 1 bar left on the battery. I charged it at lunch for a half an hour and did 3 more lawns. The blower lasted for all 6 lawns with some battery to spare. The true test will be on a 10 lawn day. I ran it on #1 setting all day which was plenty of power. I will be getting the strap as it is a little heavier than a echo gas trimmer. Not smelling like 2 stroke exhaust at the end of the day is worth the price of admission.
I love how EGO is exciting. It has freed me from all of the ancillary parts and tools I need to get through a year. It has worked so well for me that I put over $2,500 worth of Stihl gas equipment on the curb and gave it away for free! If all of the EGO equipment didn't work as well as everyone says, I could never had thought of doing something like that.
Great video does the string trimmer attachment for this multihead unit have that auto string load feature like the individual string trimmer unit does Gord
Hey Hey Andrew I have the ryobi 40v brushless hp Carmen fiber attachment capable string trimmer I have the address attachment I have the Weedwhacker attachment and I have the blower attachment are those ones good or is ego better
Your videos are very good. Interesting. Purchase the multi or individual Ego tools like the Best String Trimmer, etc. Just need to decide between eco systems like Ego and Toro … mower, trimmer, edger, snowblower so as not to have multiple chargers lying around.
If you need a battery snowblower go with Toro, the current Ego ones are nowhere near as good . I have used both the 60v 14/16" Toro trimmer and the 2020 Ego and to be 100% honest the biggest difference is the powerload feature for the string. The Toro trimmer you have to spin a knob on the head and it's not that big of a deal. There really isn't an appreciable difference in power or runtime with 2.5ah batteries.
@@Kitearmy Seen it on youtube but haven't used it. I have used the single stage Toro and Ego snow blower offerings and Toro model is in a completely different league performance wise. Toro also has a new two stage electric snow blower and early reviews seem positive but I haven't seen any head to head comparisons with the Ego. Also, most people in my neighbourhood only have single stages. So, not sure when I'll get to try one out. You need to be plowing a fairly large area and a lot of snow to truly justify a 2 stage.
@@Kitearmy I was referring to the newer Dewalt DCST972X1 which looks very different. That would be worth testing. I don't even think they make the one you tested anymore. Perhaps they saw your review.
I have been going the Ryobi route because I was more trusting of Home Depot than Lowe's. I don't know why Home Depot stopped selling EGO but after a lot of review and research, it was a HUGE mistake. Im switching
will my existing universal attachments from my gas powered trimmer attach to this power head or do i have to rebuy all of Ego's attachments? the latter is a deal killer.
Will new companies like EGO be altruistic and have universal attachments? Hell No! They want to suck us dry. I would stick with petroleum products for another 3 years cost wise.
If I learned anything in life, be it a Swiss Army Knife or a Leatherman, getting a "one tool does it all" will always sacrifice the quality at which it does it. I love my EGO blower but your lack of knowledge on what is good vs bad has me questioning buying anything else. e.g "cast aluminum" is a good thing?
Can you reach out to your Ego contact and asked when is the Ego Rotocut Attachment (RTA2300) coming to the States. Why is it only available in the EU? I would much prefer to use a Ego product than the third party offerings.
Love your reviews of Ego power equipment! Question: Are there any reasons (additional functionality or capabilities) to purchase the dedicated string trimmer or dedicated edger, verses the multitool options for these tools? I need both of these tools and understand it would be cheaper to purchase the multi tool option, however I want to make sure I’m buying the top of the line (at least from a residential perspective).
The multis will be more than enough for any residential! You can even buy a $10 adapter kit on Amazon and attach blades to the trimmer to cut like 6 inch trees like butter!
As a gardener, I've always had multi tools. Saves money and and are easy to store in my cab whenever I want to take it apart . Even if you don't need the other attachments, you options be open as long as you have a multi tool.
I bought the new telescopic weed eater. Thought about the multi head system. But didn't want to deal with it. And I like the trigger on the new weed eater. Wish the cultivator, and 2 brushes were stand alone devices. Oh well.
@@Kitearmy hope they'll offer it as a standalone. But I doubt it. Maybe I should have got the multi head system. But all I wanted was the trimmer and brush.
I use eGo for lawn tools, Ryobi ONE+ for DIY. Reduced my battery systems down to 2 from 5; SO much easier to maintain. Looked at the Ryobi 40v system years ago, just didn't compare to eGo.
Yeah RYOBi for decades was a " Budget' cheapo brand.. EGO was always a premium brand. So it was never a APPLEs to Apples comparison. Now in 2022 RYOBi has decided to start making a lot more " premium " tools . Things are changing. Example..Carbon Fiber, Whisper Quiet, Brushless 40V HP. Dramatically better than their 18 vol and original stuff. Their products are improving Is RYOBI superior to ego? Nope... But RYOBi are a lot more accessible, alot more common..AVAILABLE any Where. More compatibility..due to a dramatically bigger product line and always new products coming out every year . Far Far cheaper batteries too. I have a Honda powdered RYOBi pressure washer thats really really superb. I have some brand new generation 18+ Ryobi brushless handtools which are excellent! A small 18V + Brushless Impact electric driver with LeD lights is shockingly good around the house. RYOBI 40V Brushless HP multi tool.. is a superb powerhead for weed eating , edging, trimming hand held stuff outside. I got this 40V Brushless motored powerhead for 50 bucks it's compatible with all my 40 V batteries and all my old multi tool extensions from 20 years ago. You just can't EVER do that with EGO. ( price wise) I RYOBi better than EgO. Again I say no. But you're going to pay ALOT more than 50 bucks. The RYOBI push, self-propelled mowers are complete garbs.....except their riding mower. My friend has one and loves it and it's dead quiet.
How does the string trimmer attachment compare to the dedicated string trimmer St1511t or ST1521S? I primarily want a string trimmer but would be nice to have a cultivator too. Thanks!
You convinced me to switch to EGO, I bought my first cordless tool 6 weeks ago which was a Milwaukee hedge trimmer. It's certainly nod BAD but I'm not very impressed with the single sided blade and economics of the machine unfortunately.. so I've sold it along with my petrol tools and have ordered the EGO attachment system... Should arrive it in a few days and I'm excited to put it all to work 👍🏼
I have the hedge trimmer and edger and they work well. It is pretty heavy so I would not recommend the string trimmer (get their dedicated string trimmer which is joy to use )
Well that's cool. I think I might get the multitool ,BUT get the string trimmer exclusively because it has the capability where you can load the string quicker. I suck at that.
I have the bristle brush attachment and it is great for fall and spring cleanup as well as driveway and walkway cleaning. I am curious if I can just buy the replacement rubber brushes and swap with the bristle brush; seems like it would work. You didn't take the rubber version apart for comparison; maybe a future video? Unless the answer is just a simple "yes" (I hope).
For those of you that live in California and do yard maintenance as a job there is going to be a law that will stop us from using gas powered equipment all electric and ego has been extremely early to the electric game they have the best quality and most long lasting batteries
Aren’t you missing some attachments? I know of an olive shaker, a snow blower and a rotary blade attachments. Last one I ordered last week, but it hasn’t arrived yet.
Hello! great video! but I can’t find this multi head anywhere! Can you inform the resin there is no available stock? will this product be discontinued?

I did not expect the cultivator to be as handy as it is - and the hedge trimmer is a no brainer

Very similar to Dewalt's 60V multi-head string trimmer. The difference is it has two different string lengths.
In theory - the Dewalt string trimmer is the worst tool i have ever tested.
EGO left HD so that they could sell on Amazon
Nice review Andrew! EGO continues to be top notch and is constantly innovating 👍
They are hungry
How do you put the handle?
You didn’t show the brush cutter.
So unlike the regular ego string trimmers, the motor is in the back instead of the front? Does that effect anything, like weight?
spins counter clockwise - If you need at least 3 heads this is a good option, otherwise buy the individual tools - if you have the space
@@Kitearmy thank you, sir!
Does the string trimmer have the power load button like the Ego carbon fiber shaft trimmer?
no - that thing is great
will my existing universal attachments from my gas powered trimmer attach to this power head or do i have to rebuy all of Ego's attachments? the latter is a deal killer.
what brand
@@Kitearmy I'm taking about the universal attachments, like the ones from Trimmerplus. i already have a few.
Will new companies like EGO be altruistic and have universal attachments? Hell No! They want to suck us dry. I would stick with petroleum products for another 3 years cost wise.
can these heads cross other platforms (universal) That rotary brush tool would be helpful for me.
nope
If I learned anything in life, be it a Swiss Army Knife or a Leatherman, getting a "one tool does it all" will always sacrifice the quality at which it does it. I love my EGO blower but your lack of knowledge on what is good vs bad has me questioning buying anything else. e.g "cast aluminum" is a good thing?
Damn dude. You looked like Tim the tool man Taylor in the thumbnail
Thanks
Can you reach out to your Ego contact and asked when is the Ego Rotocut Attachment (RTA2300) coming to the States. Why is it only available in the EU? I would much prefer to use a Ego product than the third party offerings.
bet it has something to do with lawyers
You have to get the Stens Rotary Scissors and put it on one of the heads. They are legit!
OMG that looks so cool - do those fit the EGO heads
@@Kitearmy Yes. I switched the weed eater head to it.
@@colonelkfc33 I'm doing it!!
For $260?
@@billw1044 they aren't exactly cheap but they are pretty nice
Love your reviews of Ego power equipment! Question: Are there any reasons (additional functionality or capabilities) to purchase the dedicated string trimmer or dedicated edger, verses the multitool options for these tools? I need both of these tools and understand it would be cheaper to purchase the multi tool option, however I want to make sure I’m buying the top of the line (at least from a residential perspective).
The multis will be more than enough for any residential! You can even buy a $10 adapter kit on Amazon and attach blades to the trimmer to cut like 6 inch trees like butter!
If you think you might need any other tool that is attachment capable then go with the multi - otherwise go with the individual
As a gardener, I've always had multi tools. Saves money and and are easy to store in my cab whenever I want to take it apart . Even if you don't need the other attachments, you options be open as long as you have a multi tool.
The string trimmer I use has the power head that makes it easy to add new string. I don’t think the multi tool system has that?
@@BottleBrookGardens no it does not
I bought the new telescopic weed eater. Thought about the multi head system. But didn't want to deal with it. And I like the trigger on the new weed eater. Wish the cultivator, and 2 brushes were stand alone devices. Oh well.
You got your trimmer for a great price - the multi head is more expensive
@@Kitearmy yes the price was great. I would love one of the brushes though!
@@Karrott9 I really like the bristle brush - I could take or leave the rubber brush
@@Kitearmy hope they'll offer it as a standalone. But I doubt it. Maybe I should have got the multi head system. But all I wanted was the trimmer and brush.
@@Karrott9 I would keep what you have then
The 1 person who disliked this video owns a Ryobi!
bahhaah
I use eGo for lawn tools, Ryobi ONE+ for DIY. Reduced my battery systems down to 2 from 5; SO much easier to maintain. Looked at the Ryobi 40v system years ago, just didn't compare to eGo.
@@morrielewin1554 Yeah - I think Ryobi hopes that people will jump in because they have the 18v one plus stuff
my Ryobi trimmer broke in one day for me. Maybe Operator Error ;)
Their products are improving
Is RYOBI superior to ego?
This is another great review Andrew.
Thanks mate!
How does the string trimmer attachment compare to the dedicated string trimmer St1511t or ST1521S? I primarily want a string trimmer but would be nice to have a cultivator too. Thanks!
I like the powerload the best - that being said the cultivator is AWESOME!
Basically the same attachments as the Echo PAS gas trimmer.
yep - but battery
I love mine but it gets pretty heavy with the 7.5 amps battery.
If you need to replace the brush (which I consider will wear out earlier) do they sell it separate or will I need to buy all the head again?
they sell the brush separately
Thanks for this. Great vid
Glad you liked it!
Should arrive it in a few days and I'm excited to put it all to work 👍🏼
hopefully you will like it
@@Kitearmy finally arrived, it's awesome! Great build quality 👍🏼
Well this is cute since we already have most of these separate tools. 🤨
You have the rubber wheel which i can't get but i can get the "scissor cutter" that it looks like you can't
yeah - no scissor cutter in US
@@Kitearmy wait what? I'm sure i was watching a bloke over there using them. Might have had to import them then
I have the hedge trimmer and edger and they work well. It is pretty heavy so I would not recommend the string trimmer (get their dedicated string trimmer which is joy to use )
The brooms are heavy - the rest of the tools feel okay for me
Great job,nice review! 👍
Mahalos 🤙🏾
Would anyone recommend this for starting a mowing business? Why or why not?
yes if you are going to need a hedger and pole chainsaw - otherwise no, go with individual tools
Yes
@@Kitearmy Excellent! Much cheaper; thanks!
@@morrielewin1554 great!
Which of these would best function as a dethatcher for st augustine grass in Texas?
I would probably say the bristle brush - I used it seemed to work okay
Do you know if non-Ego attachments will work on the Ego Power Head? I have attachments from a gas powered Craftsman power head.
not sure
Do attachments from other brands fit the Ego?
maybeish
For those of you that live in California and do yard maintenance as a job there is going to be a law that will stop us from using gas powered equipment all electric and ego has been extremely early to the electric game they have the best quality and most long lasting batteries
Amen brotha!!!
Aren’t you missing some attachments? I know of an olive shaker, a snow blower and a rotary blade attachments. Last one I ordered last week, but it hasn’t arrived yet.
not here in the US
Hello! great video! but I can’t find this multi head anywhere! Can you inform the resin there is no available stock? will this product be discontinued?
How much ? where we could buy that set ?
Great to see Belts & Boxes feature this video. Also, it seems like *all* the attachments are one of your favorites 😀 ...not that I blame you!
That's super cool - I did not know that - yeah it's like picking a favorite kid
