Good god. I literally was losing my mind, and this video pointed out the exact same problem I had. My nut was missing entirely. Replaced and fixed immediately. Thank yoh
I have this problem with my e30 is starts the dies immediately I’ve confirmed fuel pressure and Spark I bought it as a no start and I figured out it had the wrong really to the main relay and now it start and dies I changed fuel filter and some hoses any other ideas if it’s not this?
Follow my vids bro, it will get started. Check out my glove and straw hack and if the glove does not hood compression, listen for the leak. If you can’t find it, add a cigar smoke.
You didn't fix the issue, you only solved the problem. Basically the throttle butterfly should be closed at idle, and the ICV is then responsible for allowing enough air through to the manifold. Given that tightening the throttle position screw (which creaked an opening in the butterfly valve) fixed your idle issue, that means the problem was lack of air at idle. Which in turn means that your ICV is not opening, or opening enough. The likely problem - your ICV is shot, despite you cleaning it.
When there's not enough air through the manifold, is it possible to get the cylinders flooded? I have this problem, I can get the car started and keep running for a few seconds, maybe a minute and a half. Then it won't start because it's flooded.
Hi I had a problem this morning I turn the key absolutely nothing happened then I kick start the car down the road as it's a downhill road and it took immediately then I switched it off and tried starting with the key and it took immediately what could that be??
@@BimmerGarage man it was the same problem you had on your vert haha oh man I been betting myself up. Do you know where I can buy the screw so it doesn’t get lose again
Nate Flores glad to hear the problem is solved. I’m very confident the screw will not move but there is a little nut you can add on the screw to keep it from moving. I just forget the size. I’ll try to check it out this weekend and update you with the size. Also, we have an e30 video coming out in 3 weeks (timing belt/water pump replacement) and then we received sponsorship and have a few videos following with e30 mods. Hope you enjoy the new content coming soon.
By the way bro. Check your stomp test, if it does not work, tighten your throttle cable. Anyways, hope you are enjoying you car now that it’s fixed! I’ll get the size of the nut to you this weekend.
Guys my E30 does not switch the dashboard lights on and it does'nt start as well..help me out please...actually they go on for a few seconds then off until i put the battery on again and it continues to do the same thing
Check your main relay (Orange) and your fuses. This could just be that you blew out fuses/relays. Let us know if this works. In one of our vids (either part 1 or this vid) we replace the main relay in case you are not familiar with the location.

Yo man cool vids!!
Do you know if fuse 11 should light up with a tester if the ignition is turn on? Or only lights up when car is on all the way?
Only when car is on all the way is what I believe.
Great video!!!!
Thank you. I just did mine and that was what it was.
Glad that it worked! Hope you enjoy our other vids with many other tips. Thanks for watching!

💯 Truth and it was confirmed when I unplugged the ICV and nothing changed on the car. New ICV coming. Thanks.

Ganief Petersen I’d say check your starter. You can tap it with a hammer when trying to start it the next time to see if it works.
@@BimmerGarage thanks man it was my battery i took it to the battery centre had it charge over night and all seems perfect again
Where in El Paso is your Garage?

Check out our vacuum leak video. Start there. Then clean the ICV (Part 2 of this series).

pro trick: you can watch series at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching lots of of movies these days.
@Ray Jonas Yea, been watching on flixzone for since november myself =)
Kill that music!
I’m a little slow😂 so what was the problem? Lol
Throttle stop screw was extremely loose. Tightened it up and it began idling perfect.
BimmerGarage can message me on here ? or can I get your email? I wanna send you a video of what my car does
