    gracias. fuel line leaks in the engine compartment are very dangerous. like someone else commented, i'd also replace the fuel line that goes from the fuel tank to the fuel filter. thanks for making the video. buena suerte.

    I love how I could actually see everything you were talking about and everything made sense. I wish I could do this under 12 min like in the video lol

      Trying to capture everything on camera is not always easy and makes the job take a lot longer, so I really appreciate the positive feedback on this. Thanks for watching!

    THANK YOU!!!! This is exactly what I needed to see. I wouldn't have even thought of pulling the #11 fuse. My E30 developed its fuel hose leak on the interstate yesterday. I could see the fuel gauge go down by the foot, not the mile! Half a tank of gasoline in 43 miles. Great video. Pretty E30!!

    Man, you make it look so easy!
    Giving me mad confidence to do this myself instead of getting screwed by Firestone.

      That is one of the main reasons I take the time to make these videos! To motivate more people to DIY. Save some money and get to know your car better. Thanks for watching and good luck.

      @@NoGaragE30 Thanks man, just had a look and I have a huge slice in the short zig-zaz shaped hose. I’ve been smelling tons of gas coming through the air vents lately.
      Such a shame cause I just got new wheels and cleaned the E30, but now I can’t drive it till it’s fixed! It’s a 1985 318i, so I was expecting the hose to go bad sooner or later 😂

    Check the upper and lower vacuum elbows that are on the throttle body. Your upper appears to be coming out of the throttle body. This is super common on the M20 B25 engines. It allows a small vacuum leak and will affect performance. These elbows have splines and are press fit into the throttle body and over time they can work themselves loose. Best to use a sealant of some type after pressing them back into the throttle body.

    Dude, cool vid but can i just say. If you have a tear in your hose , it can be fuel hose hydraulic line what ever. You will never have pressure in it. Why? Cause u already have a tear where the pressure leaks out with your fluid! :D Just keep that in mind !

    • @NoGaragE30
      @NoGaragE30  4 роки тому +1

      Fair point. The fuse trick is probably a good idea anyways to help empty the lines.

      @NoGaragE30  5 років тому +1

      I will give that a try. I had the cluster out not long ago and replaced all odometer gears but the odo is still stuck! I've been wanting to take it out again just to check if I messed up with one of the gears. Now I have another reason to do it I guess, thanks!

      These lines ended up failing after some time as well, spraying gas inside the engine bay again. Im now using cloth braided 6Bar lines that are much better quality and stronger than the CRP lines I used on this video.

    How many meters of that 16121176440 do I need? it is sold in 1 meter sections 🤔. is this hose used anywhere else on the car if i buy extra?

    • @NoGaragE30
      @NoGaragE30  3 роки тому +1

      I got the 5 meter CRP brand that was only like $10 more than 1 meter of OEM hose. I probably used less than 2 meters for this job though.
