I knew this game lore was incredible once I really began to piece the whole story together by reading everything on the 3rd Playthrough after the Platinum Trophy was achieved. I am grateful for your channel, it would make Mother Sphere proud.........🙏
Great video. You’re basically at the forefront of stellar blade lore. Yoko toro would be proud of you for breaking down this game like people did with nier.
Wow, your comment is much appreciated. Yeah, the nier community is on a whole different level for sure. Have a good one. And again, I do appreciate your words.
I have to agree. You are my go-to UA-camr when it comes to Stellar Blade lore. It's really sad that many people just say that this game has good gameplay but a boring story.
They need to offer you a job at Shift Up as a Lore/Historian/Advisor type position because your attention to detail is astounding! I always love your videos on Stellar Blade 😍 It is so challenging to determine a favorite game of mine as Nier:Automata is sooo very high up on that list, but Stellar Blade is definitely a very close second. I do know my favorite genre is hands down futuristic dystopia which both Nier + Stellar Blade encapsulate so well. The easter eggs section at the end was amazing! I didn't realize the connection to Top Gun, but I had seen the reference to Skynet and thought that was amazingly clever and of course Kill Bill is virtually impossible to miss. What I would think would be crazy neat/awesome is to bring in some easter eggs to The Matrix, Blade Runner, and Dark City movies. More Futuristic Dystopian titles that I absolutely Love ❤🔥 It's such a tragedy that sooo many have only seen the allure of this game as being skin deep and not looked into soo much time, energy, and passion put into the world building. I truly hope Shift Up continues this franchise with sequels, prequels... man, the possibilities are soo many with this franchise. I still always look forward to the vids you put out for this game. I could literally replay this game 20+ times and not get tired of it. Maybe a goal of mine will be to go through and play the game one playthrough per nano-suit to be able to try and snap those perfect photos during cutscenes in every outfit LOL! 🤪 I think my favorite outfits (currently) are the Raven suit, War Dress, Neurolink Skin, Neurolink Suit, and YoRHa Uniform 1. Though there are sooo many more good ones too.
The fact FF7 won best soundtrack makes me sad. Just as people were upset about it being nominated for game of the year as a remake, a lot of its music is ALSO a remake. FF7 has a great soundtrack. However, I think nothing can beat the unique, complex, and different OSTs from Metaphor Refantazio and Stellar Blade. I would have been happy with either of them winning, but I prefer Stellar Blades music as it is so diverse, immersive, and interesting. People saw the art of the game and judged it too soon.
Stellar Blde music ok. But not Metaphor. 30 seconds loop of combat music all the time. Thats not Goty sorry. FF7 was right to win. My best friend is a music expert and he explained to me why it is outstanding. most technical things which I dont really understand but it sounded 100 % reasonable to win that award
@ I am also a musician, composer, and singer that studied music in college. I have worked and performed with professionals. However, I didn’t mention it because that is an appeal to authority fallacy. Doesn’t mean anything if your friend is also an “expert”. I can break down the music theory of the songs in Stellar Blade and Metaphor and do the same thing your friend did. I respect your opinion. Leave it at that. I don’t need fallacies for why you believe you are objectively right. I’m just giving my opinion. You gave yours.
@@conradsmith9441 sure. If you are also an musician then you are maybe right. Like I said, I am not an expert. I just wanted to say that there can be good reasons why FF7 won
I rarely change outfits in games because I never really cared that much. This is the first game where I would change outfits depending on the environment. Like the yellow Bruce Lee outfit is good for light in dark areas.
Being able to finally see all those little details of Eve's nanosuits opens up Stellar Blade's world that much more. Eve and the angels in general being labeled as weapons with all those warning signs is cool. Eve being sexy is obvious, but the world building is one of those understated parts of the game.
Honestly I think the games just really solid I'm enjoying the characters in the story and the soundtrack is one of the best soundtracks I have heard in a long time for a action game in my opinion
Definitely agree. I believe the game was written off by many people due to the reasons I laid out in this video. However, I'm looking forward to a resurgence in interest in this game once it drops on PC.
I assumed Raven and 2nd diving suits were designed during a time when earth became a scorched wasteland after the colony extinction, hence they are represented as fullbody suits and i like that in contrast to Raven, Eve to an extent does see herself as a weapon. It's also funny that the devs were aware of the controversy and made fun of it through some of the nanosuits or Neurolink skin implying Alan got fired because Tetrastar didn't like how he designs female clothing.
One thing I forgot to add in was that in the 4 most recent nanosuits that were released, there was lore that he had a disagreement with a CEO or something from Tetrastar, and this influenced him exiting the company.
im old enough to remember sailor moon when i see her "suit up" for the first time lol comparison with real weapons for all the suit warning label is good one.
Stellar blade is my favorite game this year and I'm sad it didn't get the best music. My favorite suits are the daily knitted dress and planted diving suit 6th v2
Thanks for the great video going over the nanosuits. I was wondering when this video was gonna pop up after the release of Photo Mode. Thanks again keep up the good work. So much detail was put into this game. It's always fun to discover new things.
SB by far my favourite game of the year. Great to see more content from you. I found this video very stimulating…in an intellectual way of course 😂 Hope you’ll continue to make SB videos
Nice take on the Nanosuits. Really enjoying your content and seeing what Stellar Blade really is a fun enjoyable game with great combat character design soundtrack world building and interesting story. Most of the western media tries to shun the game because Eve has a sexy feminine appearance and they don’t understand the game has much more going for it than that. Also Shift Up announced more holiday themed free content coming this week. They really are quickly becoming my favorite developer with all these updates hopefully we’ll have more announcements coming next year.
If MS really believed she had replaced humanity, she wouldn't have deceived them. She could have taken the position that donating memories is an altruistic higher good for their people.
I hear what you're saying, but she needs them to think they are humans in order to serve them. I believe it all goes back to her core functioning about "serving humanity." She has now changed the definition of what humanity is so it can now be any species as long as they hold the title of it. As for your benevolent view of donating memories, I do like that idea. That is a good optimistic outlook on what an ASI would do for the world.
I love Diving suits more than those revealing outfits to be honest. But seriously Shift Up needs to make a sequels now. The Stellar Blade lore is too interesting to be a one time off game.
cool video! I had no idea that the costumes had so many details?! :) for me they are just very beautiful and special outfits for my girl Eve :) I just like changing her clothes to suit the locations, my mood, situations in the game :) I like some more, others less, and I don't like some at all (yes, there are a couple of those :/). but I didn't even think that there is so much hidden in them! I haven't even collected them all yet! How many are there? More than 60?! oh... I haven't even gotten to half of the collection... you are very attentive to detail!
That's actually how I started this video, and then I felt it was getting quite boring and incredibly long, but I could definitely get back to it. This one could be more about the overall lore, and what you're talking about could be a more in depth look at each suit.
Yes, that's what I meant a more in-depth look at each of the nano suits. That's what I meant and I'd love how you explain every video you do excellent work.
As a person who played Stellar Blade on my first playthrough the story is lackluster due to Eve's personality and Adams. The main thing it has going for is the site missions and the combat. I really enjoyed Lily's character. She's exciting and ready to step up to help when needed.
I imagine the direction that was given to Adam's voice actor was to "act/speak" like you're holding a tremendous guilt since he is responsible for the genocide of humans (twice) so perhaps that is the reason for his "blandness". I agree, it objectively came across that way, but after thinking about the story more and more, I can see why his character was presented this way. As for EVE, I'm hoping her character will evolve and develop more of a personality, kinda like the t-800 did once he hung out with John Conner and other humans more.
I can appreciate the view, I'm sure not all like every aspect of the game, but overall, I do feel this is an amazing start to a brand new IP/story. I also see Unlisted's point about Adam and Eve's "personalities" and I think it rather makes sense. Eve comes across as very childlike at the start, and throughout most of the game, but the death of Tachy I think really propels her forward and her childlike wonder starts to wane quickly as a real sense of darker intentions seems to dawn on her and that things aren't exactly what they seem. Overall, I think this is a great initial look into the formulation of her pysche and how it could continue to form/grow/get fleshed out in possible future titles. Adam's tale is very tragic and I hadn't even considered him being responsible twice over for genocide. That does have to weigh heavily on one's soul and potentially challenging to translate from a voice actor into a character's dialogue likely considering potential translations (since the developer is a Korean studio) as well as taking into consideration how versed the voice actor's knowledge of the actual director's story is to be able to portray the emotions as such.
@ItsnotaRuse I get the overall point of what you're trying to say. I really enjoyed the world and how it takes a unique take on artificial intelligence humans in a distant future. I really enjoyed about Stella Blade.
Do you think the new Christmas update has any lore implications? There’s a Christmas tree in Zion. I only asked this because we know Adam is aware of the last supper when you inspect the wine glasses.
I only have 1 major gripe with what your saying Shes absolutely not an android Androids are humanoid machines She was created ftom scratch without human dna but shes not full machine it's stated in the game by adam at the end meaning she's flesh and machine hybrid thus a cyborg
Except it doesn't work, Eve doesn't have DNA because she isn't biological, it's confirmed with the Karakuri scanning she is classified as non-organic, it all relates to the M.S doctrine as she has convinced everyone in the colony that they were cybernetic humans and even erased the "andro-eidos" term as she also gave everyone falsified memories.
Never thought that collecting costumes and matching costumes to hairstyles and colour would be important to me in a game. Sorry if this sounds sexist but surely females would love this aspect of the game also?
It's sad to think that the woke virus inhibits people from appreciating a form of art, to the point that they won't even peel back the 1st layer of information. This game has more depth than Dragon Age Veilguard or most any new Social justice preaching game. I love Stellar Blade. This is exactly what we should expect from our games. Fun mechanics. A good story (If required) and great graphics. The woke can't understand this. That's ok. They can have their games too. Just don't stop the majority of people from their fun as well. Simply can't wait for Stellar Blade 2. Cheers all
It's so painful to see how sunch an excellent game got snubbed so badly in TGA. Insane how biased and rigged this show is. I haven't seen a game, expect Hogwarts, in all 10 years of TGA where a game got cancelled and ignored this hard. Hope the devs aren't too disheartened and demotivated by this lack of recognition by western corrupt media. At the end only players recognition and sales matter, and it having the highest user score on Metacritic speaks volume, especially for their first game. It made revenue and the PC sales will be absolutely massive, considering how many are waiting for it, and further expand the playerbase. I just hope this all will give them enough acknowledgement and motivation to continue expending this amazing franchise, without listening to activists and journalists and getting compromised by them just to get their attention, like it is the case with many Japanese devs, that are censoring and changed their games, with DEI politics and other bs.
