Thank you for this video. I’ve been looking at a “stain streak” on the inside glass of my oven for 3 years. I finally got it taken care of. After cleaning the oven inside and out, it looks brand new.

After purchasing our house in 2017, I finally got tired of looking at the dirty inner glass of our Frigidaire Gallery oven door. Following your instructions made it very easy to remove and clean the door. The door is 80% cleaner than before. Great video and instructions.

@@countrysparkles I remember when my brand new oven (back about 20 years ago) was being used for the first time. I was making something like pancakes, the very first ladle full, and a big drip went down into the top of the door and into the middle of the glass walls. I remember how I just crouched down and stared. I was thinking that it was going to be there forever. And it has been. LOL! ~Sharon. 🤣

Thank you for your help, I should take the whole door instead. The glass is a little apart with the front panel and there is a gap. So I will take the whole door out tomorrow and fix it. Thanks for your video. Mine is exactly the same brand and model as yours.
Before seeing your video, I just took the bar and two screws and the panels were apart and after i washed the glasses and put it back , there is a gap and I don’t know why, so I will do it tomorrow.

I finally fixed the door gap by taking the whole door out and carefully make sure the glasses is aligned well so there is no more gap. I have the door with the front on top and need no tape.

This is exactly what happened to me after taking the 2 screws inside off and handle. Inow have a gap between the glass and metal frame in the front of oven. I'll try this method next. I hope I don't have a permanent gap 😕

I've been hiding the glass front with an endless parade of seasonal towels because of the disgusting dribbles that somehow got stuck to the inside of the glass. Now? Sparkling new.

Your video was very helpful. I have the white model of a Frigidaire Gallery and there were a few differences : 1 more inside glass mounted on an easily removable frame, and no spacers for the handle screws; they are integrated in the plastic bar (much easier to re-screw the handle.

Aww man! My oven doesn't have that but watch this guy's video it looks like his door has 2 bars, maybe they are the same as yours? Ovens are all just slightly different. Let me know if that helped you.

@@countrysparkles Urggg I was hoping yours did. Thank you for the link. His dose but it looks different. His is smooth and squared mine is like a Z and one side has shapes and one side has smooth holes 😂 I can’t remember how it came out lol or how it was it inserted 😂 🤦🏼♀️.

Uggh, oh no! I was so hopping yours was the same as his. Next time tip: when I take things apart for the first time I take pics of it before so that if I forget I have a reference. If I see a zig zag one I will send the link your way!
So needed this video. I had a ...mishap... in the oven and had to use a fire extinguisher. Needless to say, one we cleaned it out and confirmed the 🔥 did not damage the oven, there was a cloud between the panes of glass. I found that when reassembling was easy per your instructions. The tip to the spacer is to put the larger opening towards the inside of the oven door and it will be easier to guide the screw onto the handle.

I really loved the video. It was very helpful but I have a question. How do you clean that double plane window that’s in there or just doesn’t get clean because mine is very dirty on the inside.
Thanks I have no idea how to clean that out mine is sealed together really good so nothing has ever gotten in there. I wouldn't even try to take that apart because there is insulation and I am sure other heat barrier stuff that I wouldn't want to mess up. Sorry I can't help you more.

So for me when it gets a gap between the glass and the outside of the door it is because the tabs on the bottom have bent out a bit so they aren't at a good 90* angle any more. And I just bend those back so they are in the right position, I showed that in this video @5 min in.
It happens to me when I do a quick clean not taking the whole door off just opening up the front to clean it a few times.
What a nightmare! Wouldn’t you know. My glass looked horrible and I really hate it. I went to take the springs off. Wouldn’t you know there is always one screw that won’t budge. I tried WD40. I tried the Blaster! Nothing. So I gave up. I was able to pry it up enough to get a paint stick with a cloth in between to somewhat clean it. At least it’s better than before. But it seems I have more holes than screws. The black spacers on both sides of the door. I only have one screw for each side. Is that right? I have the diagram but they are awful pictures when it came to details. You by far had the best video of two days of watching about how to fix my stove. Thank you for that. ❤
One screw per back side of the handle sounds right, but where you said you have more holes than screws, that is questionable 😂
I watched your quick oven door cleaning video and I did it to my door (we just bought a house and the oven was sooo dirty in-between the glass lol) when I put it back together there was a gap in between the front of the door and the glass at the bottom in the middle. Would taking it apart and bending the brackets like you showed fix that? I hope I explained myself good enough 🤣
Yes it would, that is one of the main reasons I made the second video to show people how to fix that gap. It is funny how some people get the gap while others don't. I am glad you found this second video to help you out!
For my oven of the same make, there's gunk in between the 2 panes on the oven door itself - is it a sealed unit, or can that be taken apart as well to expose ALL glass surfaces?
Mine is a sealed unit I have no idea how stuff could have gotten between those panes of glass for you. So sorry I can't help more, good luck!
Great videos. Question I reinstalled the door and did not bend the bottom brackets back, would that cause the outer skin of the door to bulge out from the glass?
If they weren't bent before you cleaned the door they won't bend from normal use so if I am understanding you correctly the door will be just fine. The brackets on the bottom only bend if you clean the door by jus disconnecting the front half of the panel not when you take the whole door off to clean.

Hi Rachel, I cleaned my inner glass and got the handle back on, but when I shut my door now, I have a gap at the bottom between the metal and the glass above where it says Frigidaire Gallery. What did I do wrong?
Thanks for the question! That happens when the front metal piece is lowered a bit too far and the tabs holding it on the bottom get bent out. In this video :

I show how to fix that problem, it takes a bit longer to do but you can also do a really deep clean on the door. Your oven door still seals well and it won't effect cooking with the little gap there.
So in my oven, I have stains inside the two sealed glass panels I don’t think they remove though.?
I don't think so either if it doesn't disassemble easily don't take it apart it would be awful to ruin your oven door. I have no idea how stuff sets in the sealed area it never has on mine.

Hey I am sorry I have never unscrewed those latches here is a video I found that might be able to help but every oven is a bit different the hinge that I think you are talking about is at 4:58 in this video

Oh boy I really don't know how a spring snapped back. Your oven might be completely different than mine.
