Really great video bro. I watched so many tutorials on sculpting, but I just couldn't grasp the concept. This video rally made things clear for me. Thank you so much
Your channel is really underestimated! Even though I would love to hear a bit more about things your doing, since it was my first tutorial for blender i actually used, but it was great anyway ❤ I used 3Ds max before so I understand how 3D modelling works and through this tutorial I leaned where most important tools i used located in Blender + I learned how sculpting actually should look like 👀
Really like the video i have watched many blender tutorials and you don't go too into depth about things we are not going to use right now great job staying on topic nice video learned a lot still have more to learn but i felt i got the basic idea from this video
Oh my God I can’t thank you enough for this easy to follow tutorial!! Thank you! I subscribed right away and can’t wait for more content from you! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I love this simple tutorial as a first start into sculpting in Blender! I have one problem though. The nostrils disappear when I get to the stage of applying the modifiers
Hi, Thank you very much for your feedback. For the nostrils, you can try checking if in the multires modifier all subdivision levels are atleast 3. Then apply it. The details can disappear during remesh modifier as well, you can use a more lower value to keep most details. Hopefully it will work.
Thank you! Ok, I will try to add a new video for the keybinds soon. Although the custom shortcuts fits my needs it may be not be best for everyone and I mostly recommend others to use whichever ui layout or keys work for them.
See if you have cleared the mask. Alt+m. Sometimes it is possible mask is not cleared and no sculpting is working. Check brush strength also, exit sculpt mode and test if you can sculpt on other parts. Thank you!
One of the best sculpting tutorial! But i have question about switching parts of object. I know that you can also untake Lock object mode and switch object parts with alt left click. I think that with alt q it is more convenient but i want to know what is the difference between these keys?
Thank you very much for your comment. I prefer Alt+q and have lock mode on. For Lock mode, it is used to restrict switching of mode when selecting different objects. For example selecting a bone in pose mode and instead clicking some other object that might lead to switch to object mode. I usually keep lock mode on.
I am glad you added text on what to do because (no offense) sometimes I could not tell what you were saying. Also this video helped me a ton! Keep up the GREAT work my guy!!!
Hi Furrukh! I just finished the first part of this tutorial and it was amazing! Thank you so much for the amazing, easy-to-learn tutorial. 😍👏✨ I could learn a lot from this and now I can make a character of my cat which I have been wanted to do for so long time! I will post and tag you once it is ready to share on Instagram! Again, thank you so much for this tutorial and loved it so much!!! 🐾😊✨
hello, sir. thankyou for incredible tutorial! may i ask why my sculpt going so deep far on mouth when doing move tool? it doesnt go as normal as yours. stamp: 7:48 hope i got explanation, thankyou!
Hi, Thank you for your comment. For the sculpt going too deep, first try to reset scale, ctrl+A in object mode (apply scale) and then sculpt. Next when sculpt is moved, open the move menu which shows in the bottom right corner, adjust the value to reduce it. Another way is to hold shift while moving, it can reduce the movement speed. It can take a little practice but hopefully you will get it.
What pc specs did you have whike making this.mines is crashing from just this easy sculpt I won’t be able to actually do anything I want if it crashes on something small like this
Using a 10 year old pc with 1050 ti Gpu. Your crashing can be due to some software issue. This sculpting is very normal level. Try to reinstall latest gpu drivers and blender or you can try some other tutorial which is not sculpting related.
Increase the mask strength and then paint mask. It will paint with black color overlay. If there is no mask visible then make sure that object is selected (alt+q). Also check if you applied the subdivision modifier and object has enough face resolution to paint mask.
Excellent video, I just subscribed to your channel hoping for more 😊. Question: when you added new shapes, they were created with green and white circles and red and blue lines, giving you an easy way to manipulate the shape. Is there a certain setting you turned on to enable that?
Thank you very much! For the lines and circles on the object, just click the transform tool in the top left side menu (box with arrows circle). Whenever you will create a shape it will appear.
For the eyebrow, could you explain why why did you did a 4 level subdivision and then added a multires modifier? Would you be able to get the same effect with just the multires modifier? And thanks for making this! This is a fantastic tutorial and the pacing is perfect.
Thank you for your comments! The reason to use a subdivision modifier before is to add mesh resolution before sculpting. Multi-res is designed to work best when the base mesh already has more faces. Otherwise, there is a need to remesh if the base geo is very low like here a cube and you will need to add a high number of levels in multi-res for smooth sculpting However, this is just one way I showed here, you can use any other way if it works better.
@@Farrukh3D Gotcha, thanks for the reply. So then is there a difference between adding a 3 level subdivision modifier followed by a 2 level multires modifier versus just adding a 5 level multires modifier?
@@DDC-kx3uf Yes, from my experience the performance will be affected when sculpting details at higher levels in multi-res. Rest depends on the type of model and computer specs. However, this may not be noticeable in simple sculpting tasks.
awesome tutorial, i like this style! do you have any tips and tricks for getting the snake hook brush to go where you want? that thing gives me no end of trouble. and i'm wondering/hoping... if maybe you have a retopo tutorial in this series? that would be super helpful!
Thank you for your comments! For the snake brush, you can try with right click and change strength, other options to control it slightly more. One more thing is to use remesh function in sculpt mode. (Top right corner menu to clean up geometry). As for the retopo tutorial I will note it and maybe will do in future.
Very good tutorial, thank you! Im still very new to Blender and I wonder wich setting you used to get the arrows for navigation in the center of every object? Thanks again!
Thank you! To get arrows click the transform tool in the left side bar. It will show directional arrows for move, scale and rotation all in one for object selected. My shortcut is W for it or you can assign any other key also to it
Hi thanks for your tutorial. i just want to ask at 9:21 you pressed F4 but for me it only showed the save button. what is that net thing called? and what's the new hot key for it
Hi, Thank you! For F4 key, I have changed the shortcut to show wireframe. You can set it easily. Go to viewport overlays button (top right corner) where wireframe setting is located. (I have also shown this step in my other cat sculpting tutorial as well).

The reason to use a subdivision modifier before is to add mesh resolution before sculpting. Multi-res is designed to work best when the base mesh already has more faces.
