Ramses is basically saying he was horny at the beginning, so was more than happy to bang Marissa, but when real relationships issues occurred and adjustments had to be made, his spark totally died out. I kind of get it, she has no mellow. Seems like no matter what emotion she's feeling she dials it up to 11. It might get tiring, especially being around her 24/7 and realizing she doesn't have another speed. That said, his issue with her being sick was that she didn't want to have sex, that's a whole other issue and he's a complete dirtbag.

This season was wild. I went from absolutely hating Marissa's mom to admiring her ability to read Ramses' character immediately. She knew what was up!
Ramses is worse than Clay from season 6 😫 At least Clay was upfront about his bad habits/ demons. Ramses was so pc and morally righteous about certain issues but when it came to Marissa's body autonomy it was a problem for him. She can do way better than him!

The ratio of horrible men to good men in this season is exactly the reason why most women have just given up. For every one Garret there's way too many Stephens and Tylers. And the amount of damage they can do is not just a heartache but devastation. I'm not saying every man is like this, just that if a person wants to date today they have to be smart, well adjusted, and have a very strong support system.

SAME! Even in Cabo she would give him affection but he would always look like he wasn’t into her. Kind of had an annoyed expression before real life hit. He’s been faking this whole time. He knew he wasn’t going to marry her. He was going to likely bail at the alter but decided that he could just end early like the other couples.
When Marissa said she was able to be her 100% self with him and stay crying I get that. Being yourself IS letting your guard down and letting someone see ALL of you. She was so vulnerable and I pray she finds the RIGHT one because Ramses wasn’t it!
Marissa is high energy but that shouldn't be a deal breaker unless you're fickle. She's a good communicator, she's head over heels for him and she's willing to do the work. She's also beautiful (cherry on top).

Taylor and Garrett made me cry, both sets of patents showed up and said wonderful things. I have high hopes for these families. Watching Tyler and Ashley was uncomfortable. Love is NOT enough, that is the one thing I agree with Ramses. Marissa even agreed with him. There are things you can't look past just because you're in love. Compatibility fundamentally, lifestyle wise, financial, personality, is important ALONGSIDE LOVE. Love is not the thing you use to look over everything else because you love them, because eventually those things will come back and cause issues and resentment.
Without love there isn’t a marriage love is # 1 and everything else can work itself out

If you’re talking about love as in the fleeting feelings of favor and affection sure, but love as in the daily decisions and willingness to prioritize another person over your own wants and needs is really the bare bones of making a relationship work despite all of those differences. That’s the love we’re talking about when we say it’s enough.
I agree with you 100 percent. Love is not enough to make a relationship work. It is the essential part but if it is the only part and you are incompatible in many other ways resentment can develop over the years because the relationship might require you to forgo the other things you want in life that your partner does not want. I know this from personal experience.

I swear if the reunion just becomes a Nick bashing fest, I'm gonna lose it. I still remember season 3 and this Tyler stuff, Hannah's verbal abuse, the weirdness about sex, it's all too serious for them to not address it, I need LIB to have learned and actually talk about these very serious things. I'm not expecting them to hold Hannah accountable, I wish they would, but they'll probably just focus on her weight loss and how great she feels now, , instead they'll make pot shots at Nick no doubt, which is awful considering he was the victim of relentless verbal abuse and I'm definitely going to leave with a bad taste in my mouth. But anyway, I expect them to hold Tyler accountable for his lies. No coming at Ashley for marrying him and no doubt staying married to him, go after Tyler for his actions. Also clear up with Ramses if he was actually saying he needed sex even if Marissa wasn't feeling well. That's a scary outdated idea and I'd like to know if he meant it like it came off or not.

i don’t know if i’m more irritated with the show or myself for bothering to watch (obnoxiously fast forward through) this last episode. i knew marissa and ramses wouldn’t make it, they’d either break it off in that cliffhanger or they’d say no at the alter, and since ashley’s being lied to she’ll marry tyler, and taylor and garrett are happy (but i hope they don’t turn out to be our stephen and sabrina at the reunion next week…though it wouldn’t 100% shock me with this season)
Taylor and Garrett do remind me of Stephen and Sabrina from LiB UK, maybe just because they live so far from each other. I can't help but feel like they won't last and he won't actually end up moving to CA.

The problem was that Sabrina and Stephen didn’t talk about where they will live, we saw one of them would tell the camera that they’ll live in Ireland and the other would say they will probably live in London. They didn’t have a logical plan. But Taylor and Garett do. They talked about it extensively and Garrett even went to visit her family with her. Also they don’t live in different places during filming, Taylor lived in dc but planned to move to San Diego after marriage.

Ramses made the right move, although seeing her cry was so heartbreaking. They were clearly not compatible, from their style to their difference in values. You can love someone and realize you're not compatible with them and a marriage with them won't work. He was right, love alone isn't enough for a relationship to work. He recognized their incompatibility and ended things.
Sometimes love can make you blind to the ways you're not compatible with someone, I know from personal experience. And I think Marissa wanted marriage so badly that she couldn't see it. They were never a good match, and now she can find someone that is actually well-suited for her
Marissa's breakdown is def one of the saddest I've ever seen in reality tv. The foolery on these shows sometimes makes me forget these are real people.

If you are mature it makes complete sense. He could not keep the feelings alive after living with her. Her reaction was that of a 16 years old and she probably acts like that all the time. What do you expect him to do? Marry her and act like he likes her?
Watching Marissa go through that was kinda triggering. This is why I’m not interested in dating or being involved with anyone. It seems a lot safer to just move to a deserted island and never give someone your heart again. How can anyone recover from that kind of pain? It was painful to watch truly.

@@thetoughgroup That’s a fair point but I’m also going off of my own personal experiences and they haven’t been great. Which just further validated my point that relationships are a waste of time and it’s best to just stay alone.

@@JuwanTVThat is such a negative mindset and it seems pretty sad going through life thinking like this. You are probably young too. Relationships are not a waste of time if you and your partner are healed, are willing to accept that things will not be perfect 24/7 and work to grow together. Unfortunately, many people have unresolved trauma and attachment issues which complicates relationships. It takes some work from both parties, but there are plenty of success stories

Honestly never disliked her mom because I felt like she just saw through Ramses’ soft boy persona. Ramses is the worst at least the other people this season didn’t hide their shitty behavior well but Ramses was a manipulative monster.

I agree that love is not enough to make a commitment for marriage. You should choose a spouse based on love AND compatibility. Do your values align? Do your goals align? Can you agree on relationship boundaries? Are you capable of disagreeing with each other in a healthy way (rather than toxic)? Do you feel fulfilled? So many more things to think about than just love.
I love my husband more than anything, but I married him because on top of that love, I know that we make an amazing team. We are on the same wave length. Communication comes easy because we just get each other. And because of all of that, I know that our marriage will make it.
I had my heart broken by someone i imagined my entire future with. It hurts so intensely and deeply, you feel like you can’t breathe as the world around you just crumbles. Nothing is clear and it doesn’t feel real. Ugh watching her reminded my heart of that pain. i felt so much empathy for her. i just want her to be over him and able to see things clearly by the reunion. I really hope the men (and Hannah) get what they deserve at the reunion.

I would like to see the couples during the honeymoon phase not sleeping with each other. I liked in LIB Habibi that they had separate rooms. That would eliminate those h*rny men to come on the show just to get some. Also I hate that pressure for the women how everyone makes it feel strange if a couple don’t get intimate immediately with each other. I understand intimacy is important in a relationship, but clearly it’s not working on a show like LIB bc so many men come just for the nasty. So idk I would like to see separate rooms during honeymoon but more time together overall before the weddings. Maybe 2 months?

I don't like Ramsees but the hate he's receiving for various reasons is interesting. People are mad because he broke up with her before the wedding. That's the best and kindest thing he's done to and for her. He didn't talk to her like Tim did Alex or how Hannah did Nick. He wasn't cold or condescending. He wasn't abrasive. He said a whole bunch of nothing but it wasn't mean. Both of them overlooked them ignored glaring incompatibilities.
