Matthew terrifies me to my core. Love is blind consistently brings on the most abusive personality types I've ever seen. In a way it might be good for an audience to learn that lesson, that these people are out there, and they can seem VERY genuine, and make you question yourself even when you just saw them be awful.

That made me super sad 😢 I don’t think this is the last we will hear from Trevor & Chelsea.
I heard someone say she just wanted to "snag the guy that the hot girl wanted."Chelsea gives me feelings of high school insecurity and low self-esteem. Like she always wanted to be the popular girl that all the guys wanted.

That was such a red flag! I was starting to come around by this point in Fantake's description thinking maybe the guy was on the spectrum and thus the written questions and lack of communication. But the "finding you" answer was the most manipulative, contrived answer.

AD is super sweet and I feel like she tries to see the best in everyone and sadly at times it means it's at her expense
AD has a history of dating losers and getting used for s*x by athletes and then goes on a reality tv show. Not the brightest bulb in the room. She needs to be told to get therapy, rather than to get validated by the sisterhood.

AD seems like a sweet girl and she said on the show that she's been in therapy for a year because she's pursuing a father's love in these toxic men she keeps picking. I wish she had waited a bit longer and kept working with the therapist. If she's looking for unconditional love from the likes of Matthew and Clay I think she still has some issues to resolve. I say that as someone who had similar issues. It takes longer than one year to learn to love yourself to the point where you DON'T come back for seconds after you figure out the game someone like Matthew is playing

As a neurodivergent person, I thought Matthew was just a neurodivergent person on a neurotypical dating show and having a hard time. Until I realized OH NO HE'S A MONSTER!
I def got ND vibes as well. And the only thing that could explain the double talk (other than him being a manipulative jerk) is that it could be masking? Like he’s learned what makes a girl happy to hear so he repeats it (to his demise) and maybe doesn’t quite get in the moment what he’s doing until he’s caught in it?
That all being said the comments towards the end about “America watching” and all that are super suspect and I reckon it was all an act and not innocent masking.
I’m glad you made this comment here tho because it is important to recognize someone possibly being ND and terms like “psycho” and “crazy” are definitely terms us ND folks get branded with when we are truly just struggling to understand social cues and rules and we do get it wrong a lot.

Everything was an act, nothing genuine there. I felt so stupid because him and AD were such a cute story, like how she seemingly get him out of his "shell". I say Trevor was the real catch no girl wanted. Tall, dark, funny, generous, open minded, kind and down to earth.
For real. He is husband material: made Chelsea comfortable, laugh is open, listens and reassures etc. Chelsea has a lot of insecurities and asks Jimmy all the time for reassurance, I don't think she would feel like she had to ask Trevor because he was so outspoken that he is sure she is the one.

Didn't really care for Jess in the beginning but I love her villain arc, this woman wants to watch the world burn at this point and I'm so here for it.
I absolutely love her. Her story about her childhood really got me in the feels and the way she talks about her daughter. She's an absolute warrior of a woman who has had to fight through hell her whole life, and she needs a good genuine honest and loving man, not someone who only dates her based on her exceptional beauty.

He was by FAR the most mature and kind hearted of all of the men. He walked away with grace and only wanted Chelsea to be happy even though she clearly picked the wrong man. And how he said he touched his bracelet so many times! I got choked up when he said he just needed to sit in the room for a little while because he didn’t want to leave crying. Just a genuinely nice guy. Very rare to find.

One thing to mention is that this seems to be the season with the most variety of body shapes among men and women, not everyone looks like a model. Matthew was definitely in this show to play a game and get noticed. He wanted to play the villain but got too weird for anyone to want to stay with him
He wanted to be the underdog and have America love him. He literally said it.
Matthew's "greatest accomplishment" line didn't trip my alarm bells so much as it set off my air raid sirens. It was one of the most brazen LINES I've ever heard on one of these shows, and when combined with how aloof and callous he was during the first dates...I actually guessed that twist before it happened. And then when he was defending himself, my God, the shameless, gaslighting manipulation of all of it. Some of the BS he spouted was eerily familiar. Took me right back to my own unfortunate time being in love with a dark triad type. Good on AD for being smarter than I was back in the day, and I hope Amber does just what you suggest.

My boyfriend and I watched this together, and Matthew reminded him of someone else he knew and perfectly predicted what this guy was gonna say as the episodes progressed. He was so manipulative and sadly, had this happened to teenagers, it probably would've worked. I'm so glad AD saw through it and I also feel bad for Amber. Amber felt like a villain, when in reality, she was the biggest hero.
Trevor and Chelsea were definitely a better match. These two have no chemistry. But i think Chelsea needs more therapy and I need someone like Trevor.😅😅

Chelsea clearly has low self esteem, and I think she got off of getting chosen over Jessica. She said she’s used to being treated bad by men. Many people seek what’s comfortable and not what’s good for them.

I thought Jessica and Jimmy would be perfect for each other but the way Jessica reacted to not getting the response she wanted and then expressing how much better she looks than Chelsea really showed ger true colors. She turned mean real fast... 😬

def not the type of guy I'd want around me in any capacity, but I think it is very dangerous to diagnose people from afar. I've known people like Matthew. None of them sociopaths, but rather very very hurt and insecure individuals. That doesn't mean anyone should EVER tolerate their antics. They can and do hurt a lot of people around them. That being said, real sociopathy is very rare; people like Mathew are more than likely coming from a very traumatized childhood and are desperate to show how great they are, because if they're perfect and always right that means they must be worthy of love. It's a very sad and self-sabotaging existence :(

It would help her value herself rather than the validation she needs from a partner. With Jessica, you can see how she values herself, and even when she wants validation from a partner, has made it clear she's not willing to settle just to get it. Personally, I don't think Jimmy deserves either of these women.

Edit: I'm not trying to defend his behavior, but I was expecting to see him telling those things to Amer with my own eyes, instead I had to just believe her. Why would they do this? Did they forget to record it? Makes no sense to me. In every season they always show the scenes when there's some misunderstanding, for the sake of the public, you know?
It’s probably all scripted, that’s why.
The editing needs to have twists in the show like in scripted TV. By withholding the Amber dates it allows for the big reveal. The editors could have chosen AD as the big reveal and only shown Amber's dates up until then. For whatever reasons they thought AD would play better for audiences than Amber.

I think they cut out Amber because she left the show. Reality TV doesn't like quitters. They left Matthew in because he provided some needed drama.
