Cant wait for the moment little meade grows up, and starts showing us his own builds. If he uses what he got from his dad, and the years of learning about it as a child, he should be making some crazy shit in the future. Keep up the good shit steve.

Damn!!! That came out great!!!! Can't wait to receive my 2 SMD VU-DIN's tomorrow!!! I'm freaking stoked to be having such a high end precision tool for my two cars. I already custom made my slot for my 2012 Genesis sedan just need to take care of the one for my 02 Park avenue. Thank you Steve for shipping out my VU-DIN'S asap!!!

Nice work! Although you should have showed the final position of the climate control etc once they were mounted and how you mounted them. Also, if you wanted to just move the climate controls down a bit would they fit where you installed the dancing light display thing? I've done it on the older din and half stock radio Yukon when I was installing a double din, but I'm curious if it would work on this dashboard style along with the iPad mini??

Seems like iPads in the dash are becoming the big thing now. It's a super clean look, but I don't have the real estate on my Mustang dash for it without unfavorable modification. However, I am thinking about how an iPod touch might work out.

Those are both good ideas. I can't figure out how to fit any screen in my dash without having to relocate the head unit and possibly the A/C controls though. And there's no reasonable spot to move them to. I guess I will have to stick with a double din touchscreen unit.

What are some stereos (double din or single din) that you guys have that charge and play music through the lighting cable. I've been wanting to do this but haven't found a deck that has that feature. I don't want to use an aux because i don't want to wire in the side slider kit. Also, i don't want Bluetooth because if i watch videos the sound is off by a couple of seconds and it bugs the sit out of me.
