Ahsoka was a massive distraction from the relationship of Anakin to both Obiwan and Padme. She should've been officially reassigned to Plo Koon after her timeout at the library.
Genocide definitely wasn't the answer but the Jedi either needed to dissolve, find their place in some distant planet like in legends, or just separate from the republic because frankly the philosophy was flawed and the Jedi at the end of the republic were hypocrites as shown in CW. Not to continue the hate narrative but had Disney not screwed up the sequels we could've gotten a Jedi order with grandmaster Luke making necessary changes to Jedi philosophy and code of ethics
This is why, and I say this knowing that not everyone will agree, that I absolutely love the last jedi (at least the Jedi-centric parts.) Regardless of what other opinions or critiques you have about the film, I think it understands the jedi, the sith, and the force better than any other movie. The scene where Yoda and Luke watch the ancient texts burn, fuck, so good. That was the whole point of the movie being about the LAST Jedi- it was time for the order as it was to finally end and something better to take its place. And then Rise of Skywalker completely ignored all of that for a boring and generic good vs evil “I am all the Jedi” story. Ugh.
@@ellieporter3270 you made me think you had a brain by not being a dissociated hater but man, you really didn't understand the last movie did you? It didn't take anything from TLJ away. It clearly shows Rey going her own path as a force user and not a Jedi nor a Sith. Yes, she encompassed all the Jedi at the end there, but that was mainly because she was going against the enemy of the Jedi, who was also the last reason the force was out of balance. It was a symbolic send off. After that, Rey buried the lightsabers and goes on with her life in her own way with her own, yellow bladed saber. The 9th movie literally just helps prove the point that you liked so much about TLJ. The Jedi are no longer needed. The Sith were wiped out for good.
Also, the Jedi weren't ever actually a bad thing. I figured it was clear during the show that Palpatine encouraged scenarios that would make them seem horrible? Many of the politicians in the show didn't even known how evil Dooku was. Yet we saw separatist sympathizers. The Jedi never did anything aside from the fact that they retaliated against the separatists. Who were shown to invade worlds and just TAKE what they want. The issue is, when Jedi get involved, fights happen. Destruction and death ensues. Not because of the Jedi, but because of their retaliation against the Separatists.
Clone Wars showed us the reason why people rejoiced over Order 66. Authorizing incendiary weapons, interfering in politics, sentencing a 10 year old to prison, telling families of accident victims to ‘get over it’ and ignoring the problems in the Corusscant underworld are just to name a few issues people had with the Jedi. The Jedi were already close to delegitimizing themselves before the war, Palpatine just gave them the push they needed.
Okay, this may seem like a controversial opinion, but hear me out. I think that Rex actually going through with Order 66 would’ve made for an even sadder ending of Clone Wars. Having such an iconic character just swapping sides without hesitation and having no way to go back just seems like it would be incredibly impactful. Yes, I know he’s in Rebels but I still would like to imagine what him still having his inhibitor chip would’ve been like. Also, I won’t be replying to comments that are actively trying to instigate fights
Ok, idk if anyone else has this, if it's Mandela or not but I remember this (or part of it) being in Rots, it's been years since I saw it but I'm pretty sure Ewan McGregor never said this so idk what I heard.
To me the force has three different parts of it the light side which has its own plan and the dark side which has its own plan and in the middle to balance it out a bit but not completely is the grey Side of the Force which has both dark and light in it A bit of both plans for the Galaxy
Nah the dark shadow ain't that bad, Obi-Wan. A planet gets blown up yes, but the "dark shadow" only lasts for about 20 years, their main force can't shoot straight and ends up being the brunt of tons of jokes and is taken about as seriously as children with toy guns, and then the "dark shadow" is beaten because of teddy bears on a tiny forest moon. Enjoy the new Star Wars shows streaming on a TV near you!
I love the Clone Wars series but you cant deny, that the first few seasons are so strong and the animation are not pretty I really wish that the whole series would like the last arc in Clone Wars Peak animation for sure
That last season was great. As a matter of fact, the cartoons have been better than the movies. Rebels was also a surprise hit. I think with Rebels the first episode is what got everyone hooked when Kannan pulled out his lightsaber in slow motion. I watch that scene a 1000 times. The Bad Batch is the next hit.
Kenobi made that message in the heat of order 66. You’re telling me that a man who “killed” his padawan, watched the order fall, had his soldiers turn on him in an instant doesn’t get traumas from that? He blamed himself, and hid using Luke as an excuse for his inaction. His character arc of refinding himself and a reason to fight was great. think it’d be more goofy if he was unaffected after Order 66.
@@thebeezneez3539 Kenobi's master was killed in front of him. He kept fighting. Kenobi's gf was killed in front of him, he kept fighting. Kenobi saw Anakin kill younglings and turn to the dark side. He did what was necessary. He was so in control during the fight that he out thought and out fought one of the best Jedi ever. He was one of the few survivors, but he knew what was riding on him. I'm sure a part of him was broken and saddened, but there is never any hint in any other Star Wars media that he became pathetic and useless after what happened.
@@acarwar6024 ding ding exactly. In fact Obi should gotten stronger in that time because he was protecting the future the person who aid the Chosen One.
@@acarwar6024 In all of your examples he had an adversary he could immediately fight, then process those tragedies later. After Revenge of The Sith his mission was to lie low and not draw attention to himself. Of course he's going to get rusty, he cant exactly go around swinging his lightsaber. And all that time being passive, refusing to get involved in even small injustices he sees every day because if he does it threatens Luke, meanwhile he has to process what he sees as his failure to train Anakin and he believes he's killed him. From episode 3 to episode 4 we know he has some serious trauma like you said (just look at Alec Guinness' performance in New Hope), but we also assume he had to come to terms with events at some point. What's the problem with having that point happen during the Kenobi series? Between this and reactions to Luke in Last Jedi, heaven forbid Empire Strikes Back came out in 2022 because Star Wars fans would be going "no way would Yoda act in this pathetic way, going into exile, refusing to train any more jedi, he'd be helping the rebellion". Love it or hate it, those 3 Masters dealt with failure in a very similar way to each other, and most of those examples come from the original trilogy.
@@MikeHesk742 hmm I'll admit that you bring up good points. The show still sucked for multiple other reasons tho lol
The images and video are, the obi wan voice over is from rebels. I think it’s the pilot. It’s the actual message we hear obi wan tell Yoda he recorded when they return to the temple in revenge of the sith.
From reading comments, I feel bad that GenZ and late millenials see Star Wars as a cartoon, both from this cartoon and the Sh@t cartoony prequels. They’ll never know the magic of what Star Wars was when it first came out, and how everything after it just continues to ruin that magic, starting with the disastrous Prequels to the horrific Disney Wars.

The scene of her standing in front of the helmets alone made me tear up, but this is just so much more tear-jerking. I loved the series, the clones themselves, the Jedi. There are so many sad moments in The Clone Wars, but Order 66 will always be the saddest moment in any Star Wars program that shows it.
I really do miss this show. It has never left my sight whenever I think about Star Wars overall. From 2008 to 2013 and 2020, this show has brought so many memories starting from when I was 12 when I watched the movie back in 2008, all the way up till even today at the of 26. Hearing the Obi-Wan message from Rebels and seeing this video, sums up everything in my opinion. Thank you Star Wars The Clone Wars. It was one heck of a journey. We will never forget you. How did you make a sad scene even more sad... Well done. My major complaint with the final Clone Wars episode was the lack of this. If Ashoka had previously rediscovered her old Holocron and Rex activated it while she buried the clones would have been tear-jerking. I think the Force itself let this happen. It let the Sith win. Why? Because it was a hard lesson the Jedi needed to go through. Being a former shell of what they once were the Jedi needed to be reminded of what once made them true Jedi. The order became imbalanced and the bright light that once allowed them to see with clear eyes now blinded them much like staring directly into the sun does. Through great darkness it allowed them to shine their light much brighter in a more authentic way akin to the Force. The dark side and light side are merely 2 components of the same grand infinite intelligence in all life/things. They do not oppose each other but in reality, complement each other. Like 2 partners dancing they ebb and flow in perpetual balance into eternity. confirm that 2024 and 2025 are done A beautiful and haunting end to a great show. I'm old enough that I grew up on the micro series as a little kid and this through my early teens. Both hold special places in MY heart however view hits on a more profound and realistic level for me personally Victory and Death was one of the best episodes of TV ever The depression after one of your favorite TV shows ends hits a different I can remember the very first episode of the Clone Wars Yoda and the Clones rescuing a senator from Ventress Cartoon Network I will say hands down this is the most thoughtful and well-casted show you organized thanks for such a powerful show my childhood is forever grateful I don’t know why but Obi's message gives me chills it actually freaks me out at how scary that would be Obi-wan saying hello dear to “our friendships” and cutting to Jesse’s helmet had me tearing up Clone wars season 8 ripped me up bro 😭 I grew up watching it, sometimes with my dad every now and then I never wanted it to end. Though the final scenes of the last episode have made me think about a Star Wars show set during the Empire but with the Clone Wars animation instead, like maybe they could make it about Iden or some other special forces stormtrooper It's sad cause we all knew how there wasn't gonna be a happy ending by still the feels is the same. The final season was almost perfect. There was so much cool stuff going on in the final weeks of the clone wars and they wasted like 3 episodes on two sisters nobody gives a shit about. Still, it was a great end to a fantastic series.
The sisters episodes were great
we are lucky that rey skywalker avenged all of them

This message is the hardest to listen to in all of star wars
i'm not crying you're crying
Man, this really is a somber message.
Assoka being a Grey jedi literally helped no one and was a simple excuse for writers to not include her in the movies
Change da galaxy. My final message. Goodb ye.
It's true on many levels

Trust in the Force.... The same Force that got them killed in the first place😂
The force didn’t get them killed…
@@SheevPalps868 I did and it didn’t essentially

Why does this hit different
I think the entirety of Order 66 does that pretty well. Every single Jedi was betrayed by clones who didn't have any control over their actions.
Where real men cried…
damn all clones were killed
I’m crying
Powerful
Not anymore
Ok, idk if anyone else has this, if it's Mandela or not but I remember this (or part of it) being in Rots, it's been years since I saw it but I'm pretty sure Ewan McGregor never said this so idk what I heard.
Better than Kenobi. The show runners really needed to watch this and connect the music and the feeling.
Kinda like the final message in Poland before the nazis entered…
I love the Clone Wars series but you cant deny, that the first few seasons are so strong and the animation are not pretty
I really wish that the whole series would like the last arc in Clone Wars
Peak animation for sure
All they can do now is wait... For "A New Hope"
What episode is those stormtroopers on hoth
From which episode is the scene on the ice planet ( 0:09 )?
Last episode of the last season
I think, Clone wars was the best, all that Comes after that is Just so wierd, Like inqisitor stuff death Star, the 1 Order, Theres No Happy ending
That last season was great. As a matter of fact, the cartoons have been better than the movies. Rebels was also a surprise hit. I think with Rebels the first episode is what got everyone hooked when Kannan pulled out his lightsaber in slow motion. I watch that scene a 1000 times. The Bad Batch is the next hit.
man i still wish we got season 8 and 9 instead of that shitty trilogy
God, they ruined Kenobi in the new series. No way the same guy who made this message became so pathetic.
While I don't think it would happen this way--I believe he would have grown stronger in the force, not weaker--I relent and say it is a _possible_ interpretation of the events that he grew weak for a time. The show still sucked for multiple other reasons tho lol
Is this season 7?
The images and video are, the obi wan voice over is from rebels. I think it’s the pilot. It’s the actual message we hear obi wan tell Yoda he recorded when they return to the temple in revenge of the sith.

From reading comments, I feel bad that GenZ and late millenials see Star Wars as a cartoon, both from this cartoon and the Sh@t cartoony prequels. They’ll never know the magic of what Star Wars was when it first came out, and how everything after it just continues to ruin that magic, starting with the disastrous Prequels to the horrific Disney Wars.
It's ironic because you're actually the only one hating it.
The younger generations love the newer sequels.
It's just a sad, pathetic cycle. Your age group hated the prequels when they came out.
In fact, SW fans have been crying about the movies ever since RotJ.
