- We bought a 1988 Toyota 4Runner already built, unfortunately the previous owner who sold it to us did not know anything about it as it was their sons. So excuse our ignorance with the build details but we have big plans for it!!

I owned that truck for 8 years and did the build on most of it. It originally came from Colorado. By the way, that Dana 44 in the front is built, you will have a hard time breaking it. Ran every trail in Moab, Utah for 8 years with it, never broke anything except the front drive shaft, which was replaced with a custom built double cardon woods drive shaft.

I also have a dana44 swapped Toyota. What all did you do to it? i'm looking to bulletproof mine as i keep breaking u joints, and I don't want to break other stuff if I upgrade them.

Absolutely sick! Got to drive a buddys 80s model Toyota pickup this weekend similar to this, a single cab with a camper shell. Just restored and man it was nice. Huge fan of the blue on your rig! Congrats man

Awesome rig..I have a 86..want to straight axle it amd do some cool.stuff to it..what company did you say u used for front axle ??
Sweet ride but is your pinion angle set properly? When you’re creeping i see that your rig speeds forward and then slows down again and again …..kind looks like oscillation in the drive shaft that usually caused the pinion angles not matching… or is that normal for dual transfer cases? I don’t have one….YET!

Stay with the dana 44, big axle isn't worth the weight. I 1 ton swapped one of mine and still broke axles
