Appreciate you! Thanks so much for your support! It is in the works. Will be doing a few things to it first and then a walk around video for the '80 1st Gen!
Thank you! I wish I could tell you. But a friend who used to own this 4Runner did it all a few years before it became mine. Actually when I saw the rear, I had to have it! Lol
Love the build. Im slowly working on building up my 85 4runner. What size bump stops are you using f&r? And was curious what you are using to cover the holes for where the rear shocks go through the floor? My rear shocks go through the floor as well. I don't have anything covering the gap between the shocks and the floor at the moment.
Originally, the bumps are 4 1/2” but the bottom half was removed on the front. I also added spacers on the front and rear to adjust the bumps. I have these rubber boots (almost shaped like a plunger) that covers the holes. Not sure if I can send a pic here, but if you follow me on IG, I could send you a pic there.
Great Rig! I have my 84 Toy for 18 years a never ending project. How is the drivetrain holding up with 40s. I have similar setup with OG Bobby Longs. .
That’s awesome! Hang on to it!! They are so hard to come by now days. Everything’s been great with the 40’s. I’ve had to replace a leaf spring, bearings, and a manual locking hub gear. Easy stuff. Normal wear and tear. My axle shafts are still doing their thing even with the 40’s.
Great video. I remembered you posted on Instagram about putting in a new engine and transmission. You must have lots of money put into it and it is really worth it though.
@@Theee.Krisss any reliable recommendations where to find a 3.4? I see them everywhere on marketplace and eBay….but just don’t know what i would be getting!
You can check your local pick and pulls/wrecking yards. Usually, they will make sure the engine is in good working order before selling it. And offer extended warranties as well.
Such a sweet build. I’ve been following your Instagram for awhile. Out of curiosity how tall are you? I’m asking because I’m trying to gauge roughly how tall the runner sits. It looks nice and low
@@Theee.Krisss that’s good to hear. I like that ruf pushes the axle forward. I’m hoping to not rub 37’s on untrimmed front fenders. Trucks going in for paint this month and afterwards I’ll be starting to build it. Hahah hoping to not ruin the new fenders…. For now🤣
@@cammk9415 Incase you do have to trim up your fenders a bit, just have your painter on speed dial. lol. I stuffed 40's under my Runner and stood my ground about not having to trim. I adjusted bumpstops and everything. But in the end I ended up having to cut a little bit off anyways. Sounds like you have a fun project ahead! Happy building!
The way the tailgate and top was done is cherry
Mahalos braddah! As my favorite part about this rig!
Love it! Can't wait to see the pickup walk-around!❤

Nice nice like i love toyotas.
Awe thanks so much! Same!!!
Shout out to Steve @ red label garage .. loving the Runner Kris looks badazzz
Yes! Steve is the man!! Thank you so much!! 🙏🏽
Niiiice…..i want to 3.4 swap my 89! Did you have to modify the hood …i heard the engine sits a little higher than the 3.0
I basically added spacers to the hood hinges that made just enough room to clear. There’s a gap but it doesn’t look bad at all.

Wheel spacers on the front or no?
Yes 1 1/2” spacers on the front.

I’m about 5’3” My crossmember measures about 21” off the ground if that helps :).
@@Theee.Krisss No worries! Wow that’s pretty sick. Nice and low. 63’s and RUF is what I also plan to do on my 85
@@cammk9415 Oh that's awesome! You will love those 63's and RUF in front! I have crazy travel!
