I connected so well with it at the time because I used to use the music to justify my thinking/actions, when in reality I should’ve just addressed my issues. I say all of this to say, I was super insecure back then because I was trying to be who my family/parents wanted to be instead of just being myself. Now I’m at peace and slowly reconnecting with my true identity. So just to reiterate, I do still think he’s a highly skilled musician and I respect his hard work and dedication, but I don’t want to be like him because I would be doing a disservice to myself.
