    “How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
    Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
    Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
    Welcome to the Young Nails family!

    I wouldn’t expect a nail tech to do all that in 30 mins, I would prefer her to take more time & care. This was too rushed & not at all cohesive. On the positive side still a nice neat job. Credit to you for that. 😜

      Leanne Chinnery Understand where you’re coming from, but at the end of the day that’s really for the market to judge... and what we mean is, if that we’re true, Tracey’s customers would have voiced that, and as a result her business would have suffered... but what actually happened was her customers appreciated their time, and LOVED her service which is why you couldn’t get in her books. She was fully booked. Plus the whole idea is show what’s possible. 😁❤️☀️

      What would you do if a client wanted to have her nails filled every four weeks and it takes like three hours to complete them how much would you charge. She also ask for artwork thatI did not create myself. I am very artistic and I know how to do a lot of artwork I’m in the process of making samples so my clients won’t keep going in their phones and showing me what they want which takes me longer because I have to figure out what the other artist has done to create a piece of work. I feel like with the advice we very often give to biter about the length of the nails is a little hipercriticle in some ways as you said the nail needs to be 51% of the natural nail bed length, how many ladys have extreme length nails and we dnt think to say but when we have a biter its very often one of the top things we discuss but if the persons not a biter and thy have extra long nails I never hear techs says they advise clients against that length.
    Having the glitter under a solid colour is a nice design

      All about educating our clients!

    • @ollieolliver2693
      @ollieolliver2693 5 років тому +1

      Steph that's cause if you go straight from bitten to long nails, it hurts! The ligament at the back of the nail that attaches it to the bone isn't used to the increased leverage caused by pressure on the tip of a long nail, and it can cause pain for up to a week until your ligament heals and adjusts. Some clients don't experience this at all, but I can say from personal experience it can be very annoying. Once a biter has had the 51% on for a couple of weeks, they can go longer. Usually it's best to just let the nails grow out over time and not file them back when you rebalance.

    • @kittybrowning
      @kittybrowning 5 років тому +1

      @@ollieolliver2693 yes I did that myself once let them grow out over time and kept rebalancing and infilled when needed they got really long I was heartbroken when I had to cut them down to do the next level up nail course as here when we are doing out training we have to practice on each other. And I no what yr saying about biters I'm fully qualified myself hun the point I was trying to say is I dnt seam to see ppl advising ppl with norm length nails advised against having say extream length xxx

    When you do a fullset like the one that's on now do you let the customer know that they will keep it for a bit but changing a little each time? Or do you let them decide completely what to do next when it's time for a fill? I had clients that would come in after 2 weeks and the design was still in perfect condition but they wanted something completely different and those were the sets that took me forever to remove. So with that what is the best drill bit to use to make that process go by faster? Also my clients usually have their natural nails so I always try to save the length if they want to keep growing them out.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  5 років тому +1

      Yea, that was all what we were discussing in this video and the prior when the full set was put on. That this is something intended for more of a long term wear and if they so chose to go like straight pink & white next they would need to schedule for and expect to pay for a full removal and new set.

    Question, how does it come so gel top coats that are no wipe make a black colour turn blue and white yellow?
    All was in the same product line.
    If it is over a blue colour I don't mind, obviously, but now I waisted money plus I am not daring to buy no wipe top coat ever again.
    And I agree, the hair in frame doesn't matter at all to me? Because I am so in trance watching the work I even often don't see it myself until the moment it's mentioned. So, I really don't mind at all! 👌
    Plus I like the intro so much better! Much less 'aggressive' (as a explanation by the lack of a better word because English isn't my first language) but what was I saying.. ah! Yep, like the intro way more! 😎
    And I love black, glad it is out to play with and it turned out great!

    when I FIRST started out in my small little town where everyone knows each other, i had a young lady from hell tell me how to file the whole process which made me feel pretty inadequate, and then she INSISTED on having them as thin as possible. I told her that was not how I was taught and that I was not comfortable doing that, and she still insisted. So, I did what I think any new, insecure nail tech would do and I made them thinner for her because at the end of the day I wanted to do what made my client happy and she seemed like she wasn't going to leave until they were as thin as she liked. I had two jobs at the time. She called the salon the next day and did not complain about her nails, only asked where my other job was. My co-worker was silly enough to tell her, so she sent her father into my other job to demand for her money back because they all fell off. I was mortified. My co-worker's and customers stared while this grown man loudly exclaimed that I did a horrible job doing his daughter's nails and that he wanted his money back immediately. I calmly said "This is not the appropriate work place for your concern. If you have any problems with your service, please come to the salon at 3pm today to receive your money back." I was so shaken at how irate this man was, I was petrified. Since then, I learned to write up a signed contract stating that the nails are not insured when doing work that I can't stand behind. But now through this video, I learned to say NO. Thank you.

    How much would you charge for a rebalance?

      That would be a great how much episode! Usually basic fills start at $60

    I’d love to see a how much about a rebalance or a real time but obviously someone would have to keep a full set for longer than a week 😂😜

    I’m a nail tech and booked an appointment with one of your sponsored nail techs in Miami/Homestead. I was shocked by how badly my nails came out. She did NOT measure the nails/hands, and one hand was thicker than the other. She finished a full sculpted set in an hour, and I went home, soaked them off, and redid myself. I really dislike when brands sponsor techs without experiencing first hand how the tech does nails. It’s easy to pick and choose and post the ones you purposefully take your time on just to get that sponsorship. False advertisement.

      I'm so sorry to hear you had a poor experience however to the best of my knowledge at this time we do not have any ambassadors or educators in the Miami area. You are welcome to shoot us a DM if you'd like to discuss it further. Again apologies for an unpleasant experience in any sense.

    I thought she ruined a good set of nails. I would of just infilled the original set exactly the same in the 30 mins. Quality over quantity everytime

      Haha would have probably left them for another few weeks myself, but just demonstrating some options if a client was requesting a change up on the same set
