I hope you read this Greg....but I'd like you to know that I think your an amazing teacher alot of times you see videos there not as intricate or just worry about views. You do it and it feels authentic. It's all about the craft no money, no selling points, nothing you let the product and art speak for itself I hope everyone realizes this is a gift cause classes can cost up to 300 for the course Thank you! Hey Greg, I just want to say that every since I started doing nails a year ago, I have learned a lot just by watching your tutorials. I am having trouble with my timing though and I’m not sure as to why my timing is longer when I do clients but when I do my own nails. Im also having issues with when I use color acrylic and i encapsulate with clear, I’m still managing to file off the color, but if I use to much clear the nail becomes thick and I hate it. I would love to get some tips as well as take a nails class with you when this pandemic is over.

Since I'm a beginner, I don't feel comfortable encapsulating just yet, so my question is, in what situations can I use glitter where encapsulating is not necessary?
you could always pour glitter on top of uncured gel and then cure or do a glitter press, then you just need to top coat. With pouring glitter you could also not top coat for a sugar effect.

Off topic question, if I have a client with very brittle natural nails that have ridges, is it better to use acrylic or gel? I was thinking acrylic because it’ll be stronger, but then I thought maybe gel because it would flex a bit with the nail. I’m so unsure, can you guys help pls?
In placing clear on natural nail, on the next set do you prep the clear layer? Hope this make sense.

You’re amazing… I have a question… I’m doing something wrong but Unsure what because in my head I’m following exactly what you do but my nails end up very wide at the apex area … apex I believe has a good thickness I think
Watch the angle that you hold the nail as you are applying the product. If you are holding the nail flat and not pointing the finger down to let the product flow down the length of the nail, the product may be flowing off the sides at the apex area. Also, make sure you are not pressing the product through the apex as this can push it out to the sides. If you still have wide sides, use your hand file to file straight along the sidewalls to straighten them out.
Heres' a video that may help with your filing. Keep an eye on the blue line down the middle of the file. When filing the sides, you should see that line straight with the finger. ua-cam.com/video/bB6w1rOYD3Q/v-deo.html&feature=shares

I always wanted to know what to do with someone who comes in for a fill but they have color acrylic on the natural nail or on top of a layer of acrylic but near the cuticle.
Hi! I’m wondering if protein bond would be the same as using a dehydrator & primer together
Protein bond is a non acid primer.. it doesn’t chemically etch the nail like a traditional primer does. Protein stays sticky.. sticks to the natural nail and then sticks the product. We still use our product Swipe to cleanse and dehydrate the nail before applying it.

Swipe is an alcohol and acetone based product formulated to cleanse the nail perfectly for product.

The 3 are colored acrylics that are no longer available.

Amazing... in the nineties I took a expensive nail coarse. We learned only health issues. Worse teacher just wanted smoke outside with the younger girls. No control at all. Needless to say only three of us showed up for the mandatory testing. Got through test, but never made it as a tech..rats! Now you are a great teacher! To late for me I’m 68
