The motor pool is also bad for giving the run around. What I mean is Most army units require that all vehicles get dispatched on Monday, but the motor pool only has one or two dedicated people to dispatch and they are always gone.
My in law she was 19 G or something but she said they always sent her to Motor pool. She said this ain't my job .she said they told her the manual is on the table 😭🍺💙

I'm going to take a guess and say the long term shaving profile was given to them because of either religion (Jewish or Nordic) and they wanted to claim you were discriminating against their religion or he was given a shaving profile for medical reasons, he also happened to be black, and when he got denied he decided that it was because of his race somehow.

I'm not in the Military but damn, I went through this a few months ago. I had two bad EMS calls in a row and my FD put me on leave and I had some upcoming training to do so I asked the training officer (rank of captain) what I should do about the upcoming training and that captain said she was going to ask the deputy chief, and I heard nothing back for a few days, so I asked the deputy chief and he told me to ask the captain. I asked the captain and never heard anything. The day came to sign up for the training so I asked the captain the day I got the email to sign up for the training and didn't hear anything back so I told the deputy chief "chief, I got the email to sign up for training, I already asked the captain and didn't hear anything back, what do you want me to do chief?" He said "don't worry about training this month." So it's like, now he tells me after all that runaround.

I'm just out of high school and I'm the first generation in my family for the fire service but not the first, first responder, I had one police officer as well as a lot of Military. That is exactly how it is in the Army, it gets really toxic and ends up increasing risk of PTSD because it kills trust and communication so much to the point that you can't even trust your own unit when you're deployed

But that FD I was at had such bad leadership, and that's the only good thing about being relieved of duty recently, is getting away from that bad leadership but other then that, I'm having a beyond difficult time with that because I wanted to come back and continue to do what I was training to do and serve my community and also those guys are like brothers to me. Before I was relieved of duty, it was 3 months of isolation and being made to feel like I'm dangerous. I was (and still am) having flashbacks after those two bad calls and she told me "you're a risk to yourself, your partners and you patient." She didn't even let me go to the firehouse to talk to my guys or even go to a Christmas party. She told me "we can't have you at the firehouse because we don't want the other firefighters knowing about the flashbacks, we're trying to keep that quite." I couldn't trust that leadership. That captain made me feel like I shouldn't have reached out for help or let those two bad calls get to me. I had to go to the firehouse to pick up my gear to bring it home and I ran into one of my partners and he told me "all we know is that you're on administrative leave and we don't know why." She didn't have to go into detail but why couldn't she just say that I had two bad calls in a row and was taking time off to recover? That whole situation I went through with that captain was just one clusterf*ck and another.
I had my platoon sgt (a staff sgt due to no free e-7 left in the unit) who had been in for 12 years tell me when I was a Pfc “you guys won’t need your dogtags for this formation leave them here so I can make sure your info is all good” - needless to say….. we all needed our dogtags, and got smoked by the first sgt for 20 mins in front of the unit for not having them…
I was a 2 striper at the time....... just follow me here........I had an AF SSgt, supervisor at the time, who was going through a custody battle and divorce with an illegal immigrant (claims he didn't know) he was trying to get her deported and told me he had gotten in a fist fight with her cousin and that he was broke because of the legal preceedings. This guy told me "if I ever needed any advice in work, life, or anything to not hesitate to reach out to him"............... needless to say, I never reached out to the walking train wreck. If irony could kill......

At Fort Bliss I was in a company full of NCOs who thought they were Drill Sergeants, I have a 60% rating now. A high PT score does not a great soldier make. Soldiers need more than 1 hour of sleep per week. Issuing a Company Grade Article 15 for suicide attempt is both inappropriate and counterproductive. Politics have no place in the military and anyone who thinks otherwise needs to be re-educated. That's what I learned in the Army.
I was written up for being PUT IN THE HOSPITAL... like I had a choice. You know how it is. The M.D. is an officer and hospital admission is a lawful order...not like out here, where a doctor says he wants you in the hospital and you get the option of refusing. My NCOIC wrote me up for being HOSPITALIZED because it made "more work for others". Meanwhile, I'm not able to leave a bathroom for more than 20 minutes day and night. It turns out I was suffering from the multi organ system effects of rampant Tuberculosis. Aren't incompetents fun?? So I spent the next 5 years in and out of the hospital for lung and kidney failure. Got a significant percentage but what's really great is knowing that within weeks of my escape, my Captain, E6and E 7 were demoted and put in much lower positions. Another individual with a long history of being WAAAY past MAW was finally kicked out after using breast feeding (a 3 year old) as a reason for not losing weight for being extremely fat. It didn't give me back my career dreams or the year of life not fit for a human, but knowing they got their piss poor manager asses handed to them.
I was in the Air Force, worked on the flight line at Barksdale AFB, B-52 base,,, my supervisor, Tsgt, didnt like me much, would come out to the flight line on night shift, in civilian clothes in his civilian car, DRUNK, ONTO THE RESTRICTED AREA FLIGHTLINE just to threaten me... an E2, 18 years old. I report him to the first sgt and commander, they cover it up and tell me not to mention it again.... It happens again.. after the Tsgt left.. DRUNK in his car, driving toward his home off base... I called the Security Police at the main gate, he was stopped and ARRESTED.... He got out of that one too... Needless to say, I didnt stay in the Air Force long... Most lifers were drunks and losers... Dont waste more than 4 years in the military.

I am super lucky with the NCOs above me have always been super helpful when I need it even going as far as taking me to the hospital in middle of the night one time. I am also lucky my marines always do their best to have shit figured out before coming to me or my peers. In other words my shop is literally fucking awesome.
I'm white and had a shaving waver because of all the ingrown hairs and bumps and every fricken day some ass wipe nco or low ranking officer would ask to see it. After awhile I would tell them to call my doctor who issued it to me for a reason..
