Nice adaptation. Thanks for sharing. I don't know how those plastic ceiling boxes were ever allowed to pass inspection because they just degrade and perish over time.
lol True it is upside down. Thanks for the video, this saved me a lot of hassle - I need up 3D printing the plastic to fit it perfectly in. Also, you can just drill a 1/2 hole in the plastic next to the original screws to make life a bit easier.
a fortune? I own rental properties an broken junction boxes is pretty rare... not only that, but they are a few dollars to replace. If you're that concerned about it then use steel boxes. They are also cheap. None of these boxes will break if you use the correct sized screw and don't over torque them.
I'm a renter and this helped me a TON. I came into a new apartment with a completely destroyed ceiling box, I couldn't even hang up the old fixture.
Genius!
Thanks.
Your a godsend! I have 3 lights that fell due to a screw bracket breaking. This will help me. Thank you!!!!
This was a great video, however if you can get up into your attic, I'd recommend getting up there and replacing the box.

I use those anchors to support commercial 30” wall fans at work. Very strong. Thanks for sharing!
