"More then anything" and "stayed gone" is great. I think "more then anything" would answer a lot of the questions you had about luci. "Hell is forever" also gives a really good rundown of the premise of the show in the beginning like minute or so.
Spoiler free answers: Lucifer's daughter, named Charlie, isn't based on another Christian figure, and is the main character of Hazbin Hotel as well as the hotel's founder. The guy in red is named Alastor and is known as the radio demon. He is an extremely powerful sinner. The character at the end, Mimzy, is a friend of Alastor. And finally, the bodies that sinners appear in rely on both their personalities, how they died, and even family members in some occasions. Ones that resemble animals either had something to do with that animal in life, or were killed because of the animal. As someone else has said, Lucifer isn't Satan and actually represents the sin of Pride. The other sins won't be in the show, but they are seen in Vivzie's other show, Helluva Boss, which is set in the same universe.
I'm confused, is Lucifer in this show above Satan? The general feeling I got is that when they say 'the big boss of hell itself' that means he's above everyone - and his not obliterating them all is only due to his choice not to.

I actually burst out laughing when you paused with the most confused expression. “Who’s this guy? Why does he have a radio voice??” Yeah… this is one of those songs that knowing the context is essential.
YUP. the show's a musical, Poison and Loser just happen to be relatively simple, but it just gets harder to parse as it goes on, since it's so character heavy. Most of it isn't so "radio oriented" (despite the radio demon lol).
To be clear, in this universe, Lucifer and Satan are separate, and are two of the seven deadly sins respectively (Lucifer is Pride, Satan is Wrath, etc. etc.). also, Lucifer is one of my favorite characters right behind our favorite radio demon Alastor (the red deer looking guy). You definitely need at least some context at this point 😂 if you react to more songs separately, "Hell is Forever" or "Stayed Gone" are gold. Otherwise I'd say just watch the series already. So context: The girl's name is Charlie, and she is Lucifer's daughter! The other guy is Alastor, the radio demon. Usually 'sinners' are humans who died and went to hell, like Angel or Alastor, but in Charlie's case she was born in hell because she's Lucifer's daughter. This song is actually the first time Alastor and Lucifer met each other, they immediately disliked one another 😂 'Mimzy' is one of Alastor's friends, she's not really relevant to the story and only shows up for like half an episode. A lot of people hate that she interrupted the song, but tbf, I think someone had to interrupt or they would have gone at it forever.
A couple of these songs in this show seems to be interrupted, like the gang with Angel and Husk in “Loser, Baby” and this (I don’t know if there’s more but these two seemed to be interrupted before they can say the last line of the song lol)
Honestly, I think the Mimzy interrupt was a good thing, narratively speaking. It meant neither side wins their conflict, since neither gets the last word, and keeps this as a plot point they can come back to later
My problem isn't "Mimzy interrupted the song", my problem is "Mimzy ruined the song" 😂 she could've interrupted like the sharks in "Loser Baby", just slamming the door open forcing the song to end... without steering it into this weird goofy clownish fanfare of an annoying melody 😅

Please check out the pilot before you start the show! It’s good, for one, but it also gives a lot of helpful context to the show to the point where I feel like they should have re-released the pilot together with ep.1 tbh.

If you want more of Charlie (the blonde girl) I HIGHLY recommend "Happy Day in Hell"! She really goes full-on Disney princess in that musical number while everyone else is just baffled by her optimism. It's great!
The little Dude is indeed Lucifer and Charlie is his daughter. Alastor the deer guy doesnt like people stronger than him so he automatically doesnt really like Luci so he wanted to rub some salt into his wounds, so he said he is the new father figure for charlie( he definitely doesnt mean it). If u want a song with Charlie i heavily recommend "more than anything" with Lucifer too. I definitely had to cry because its just so beautiful

As I understand it, before going to hell, Lucifer's job in heaven was to bring joy and happiness to everyone there, building toys, fireworks, circuses, etc. It's why he looks like a circus ringmaster and stuff But then he invented this really fun new thing called "free will" and the other angels didn't like that, leading to his fall

I'd recommend Inside Every Demon is a Rainbow, Happy Day in Hell, or It Starts with Sorry. 12:17 A bit of a background gag in this episode is they decide to dress up the hotel for Lucifer's visit, and by dress up they just slap every decoration they had on the walls, including an old birthday banner, countless balloons, and even some Christmas tree lights. So to explain the characters: The cute girl/daughter is Charlie, the main character of the show. She's the Princess of Hell and the founder of the Happy/Hazbin Hotel, Hell's first ever rehab center. Lucifer and Satan are actually separate characters in this world. Lucifer is Charlie's dad and the ruler of Hell. He's a bit of a scatter brain and doesn't often pay attention to what she's doing, but she invites him over this episode and he's so excited to come because she never reaches out to him. The red deer guy is Alastor, the Radio Demon. He was a Sinner that arrived in Hell some time ago and began toppling it's most powerful Overlords over night, broadcasting their screams to the public as a warning of his power. He shows up out of nowhere to help Charlie with her hotel and gives different answers as to why any time someone presses him on it. He's usually not this sweet towards Charlie, he's purely putting on a show to get under Lucifer's skin. And then there's Mimzy... hoo boy. So the gist of her is that she's one of Alastor's old friends who would dance (and maybe bartend) at bars he went too. But what's more interesting his her behind the scenes development: So Hazbin Hotel has been being worked on for ages by this girl named Viviane Medrano. It was originally going to be a comic book and way back in 2014 and she shared concept art of the 9 (if memory serves) main characters planned for the comic. Charlie, Vaggie, Alastor, Angel Dust, Husk, Nifty, Crimni, Mimzy, and Baxter. Eventually Viv decided she wanted to make Hazbin a show, and began crowdfunding for a Pilot episode. In 2019 the Pilot came out. It prominently featured Charlie, Vaggie, Alastor, and Angel Dust, and both Husk and Nifty showed up at the very end of the episode to join the main cast. Crimini, Mimzy, and Baxter were all reduced to non-speaking 5 second or so cameos in crowd shots (Baxter was only a silhouette.) In 2024 the show finally came out. Baxter and Crimini still only exist as background characters, but in this episode Mimzy finally showed up to interact with the cast. For longtime fans, the song is essentially a nod to waiting 10 years to finally see this girl in action. To new fans, they can relate to Lucifer and the Hotel staff's confusion over who tf she is.

There’s a song you can listen to that won’t make you feel utterly lost. It’s called ‘Insane’ by Black Gryph0n- the OG singing voice of Alastor. It’s not a plot-driven song, but definitely still a bop.
You have very quickly become my favourite reaction youtuber. Usually i just skip through the talking tbh, but the way you watch and analyse things is honestly engaging. I like the way you watch things more than once sometimes, and theorise about stuff and notice the little details.

9:40 reason behind him looking like that it was lore. When he was alive his mother died and made a vow to keep smiling thru all hard ships later on became a radio show host. Something happened along the way became a murderer/cannibal and used a deer hunting ground for fun with his prey. A completely different hunter was on his grounds with hunting hounds. Noticed Alastor while feasting but mistook him for a deer. Got shot and while running away at the same time the hunter got the hounds sent on him and tore him to shreds. Thats why his body looks all stitched up in some scenes. And why he looks the way he does❤

I don't know if anyone else pointed it out, but Mimzy at the end singing about "I know you've been waiting for me" is a reference to the fact that during the show's development she was supposed to join the main cast (along with some others) and some of the fans that knew about her were expecting her.

Alastor is the red radio demon (my personal fav) he is so cool and charismatic and I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!! but anyways he is a deer because when he was alive he was a serial killer and when burying a body in the woods a hunter mistakenly took him for a deer and shot him (that’s why when he transforms there’s a red x on his forehead and you can see him transform in the song Stayed Gone) he also posses a radio voice and eyes because he was a radio show host when he was alive! ANYWAYS he is my fav (then lucifer) but yes that’s some lore on out king the radio demon ❤️

I'm obsessed with Hazbin and have been living vicariously through every youtuber doing reaction videos of it that I can find. Gotta say, yours have definitely been my favorites to watch! The way you love to talk about all the little details you catch and theorycraft just from those with no context to the show itself is really fun, imo. I hope you blind react to a few more songs before diving into the full show itself but even if you don't, it'll be a joy to watch you react to the full show too. I don't know if UA-cam has the full version of Happy Day in Hell. Its definately longer than a miniute. Maybe you could skip to where it starts on the actual episode (Episode 1. 8:39). Same with Stayed Gone (Episode 2. 8:56). I feel like the imagery is important for these songs so it might take away from the experience to just watch the lyric videos.
The girl thats cute is charlie and the main character and she is actually has a lot of songs, and the dear guy is alastor who sponsered the hotel in the first place and he has two or three other songs

Lucifer Morningstar is Charlie's father and king of Hell. He also represents the sin of Pride, hence he rules over Pride ring. And Alastor (A.K.A. the Radio Demon) is an Overlord in hell (basically a sinner who has gained power in Hell by owning people's souls through deals) and manager of the Hazbin Hotel. In the song he paints himself as this stepdad-figure for Charlie just to piss Lucifer off, when he actually manages the hotel just for his own benefit, which is "ongoing entertainment by watching the guests fail" Also, Lucifer and Satan are actually separate characters here, with Satan being Ruler AND Sin of Wrath ring in Hell.

14:03 Alastor is, indeed, part deer. In the Vivzieverse, when a Sinner dies and goes to Hell, they take on a form that's influenced in part by how they looked in life, partly the nature of the sins they committed, and partly the manner of their death. Alastor was a serial killer in the... 1930s I believe. IIUC, he was killed by a hunter after he got mistaken for a deer while burying one of his victims, and shot between the eyes (hence the little red "X" you can sometimes see on his forehead), then finished off by the hunter's dogs - which has led to a canonical hatred of dogs.
I recommend watching the pilot on UA-cam before starting the show as it introduces the characters. Also, love that you caught the golden fiddle. I watched a few people reacting to the show and barely anyone recognized it!

Lucifer has a rubber duck collection, as well as severe depression, just to clarify. While i don't usually like to spoil things, the song without context doesn't make too much sense. Charlie asked Lucifer for help, invited him to the hotel, and now he is here to see what she needs. The reason his bond with Charlie isn't that great is because he is incredibly awkward and anti-social. He has issues with socializing, and doesn't really leave his workshop inside of his home for much of anything. The reason he doesn't leave his workshop is because Charlie's mother, and Lucifers wife Lilith, had disappeared without notice, and Lucy isn't very good with venting about his issues to strangers- so he sort of just bottles them up. Anyways, back to the previous discussion, this song is him trying to tell Charlie that he is willing to help her with anything that she asks for. Alastor, the deer radio guy, likes messing with people for enjoyment, so he tries to upset Lucifer throughout the song. He doesn't get too far, and that's because he is the dad of the year. Lucifer cares for her at an extreme level to leave the comfort of his home, and doesn't mind to show it without restraint throughout his scenes in the show. This is shown in the next song for the episode, More then Anything, is all about how much he cherishes charlie. All in all, i suggest you simply just watch the entire show for the best experience.

Looks like most of your other questions have been answered. Hell has an overall circus theme. It's not super obvious in this show, as it's mostly represented by the leaders of Hell, so you see more of it in Helluva Boss, which takes place in the same universe. Clowns are super popular there, and lots of people just randomly look like circus folk.
As you now already know, the guys are Lucifer and Alastor. Alastor has lil antlers on his head too, but they get covered up by his ear shaped hair. He's the radio demon, which explains the static and also a deer demon. They were just having a dad-off, or just some kind of beef the entire song with Alastor trying to get under Lucifer's skin.
Not sure if you’ll get to see this, but the pilot on yt is soft canon, so highly rec watching that first. The number of souls you own = power & are the most prized bartering tool. If you’re not Hellborn, your looks/powers in hell are basically the embodiment of your soul and are a reflection of how you lived your life, how you died, and your personality. Lucifer themed Hell after a circus (hence why all the most powerful beings are circus themed), and there’s a canon power scale for different beings in hell if you wanna look it up. ✨

Alastor is a deer your observation is correct this doesn’t spoil anything in the show Viviane has revealed that he was someone in the 1960s who was shot mistaken for a deer as it entails with the X on his forehead and because he died that way it became a part of him and he hates all technology after his passing that’s why he has that voice filter he kinda serves as an anti hero in a way and is very mysterious and ominous but as the season goes the finale reveals something that is very daunting no spoilers though ;)

As someone else has said, Lucifer isn't Satan and actually represents the sin of Pride. The other sins won't be in the show, but they are seen in Vivzie's other show, Helluva Boss, which is set in the same universe.
I'm confused, is Lucifer in this show above Satan? The general feeling I got is that when they say 'the big boss of hell itself' that means he's above everyone - and his not obliterating them all is only due to his choice not to.

YUP. the show's a musical, Poison and Loser just happen to be relatively simple, but it just gets harder to parse as it goes on, since it's so character heavy. Most of it isn't so "radio oriented" (despite the radio demon lol).
To be clear, in this universe, Lucifer and Satan are separate, and are two of the seven deadly sins respectively (Lucifer is Pride, Satan is Wrath, etc. etc.).

So context: The girl's name is Charlie, and she is Lucifer's daughter! The other guy is Alastor, the radio demon. Usually 'sinners' are humans who died and went to hell, like Angel or Alastor, but in Charlie's case she was born in hell because she's Lucifer's daughter. This song is actually the first time Alastor and Lucifer met each other, they immediately disliked one another 😂
'Mimzy' is one of Alastor's friends, she's not really relevant to the story and only shows up for like half an episode. A lot of people hate that she interrupted the song, but tbf, I think someone had to interrupt or they would have gone at it forever.

The little Dude is indeed Lucifer and Charlie is his daughter. Alastor the deer guy doesnt like people stronger than him so he automatically doesnt really like Luci so he wanted to rub some salt into his wounds, so he said he is the new father figure for charlie( he definitely doesnt mean it).

The daughter sings a lot of songs. I'd recommend Inside Every Demon is a Rainbow, Happy Day in Hell, or It Starts with Sorry.
12:17 A bit of a background gag in this episode is they decide to dress up the hotel for Lucifer's visit, and by dress up they just slap every decoration they had on the walls, including an old birthday banner, countless balloons, and even some Christmas tree lights.
So to explain the characters:
The cute girl/daughter is Charlie, the main character of the show. She's the Princess of Hell and the founder of the Happy/Hazbin Hotel, Hell's first ever rehab center.
Lucifer and Satan are actually separate characters in this world. Lucifer is Charlie's dad and the ruler of Hell. He's a bit of a scatter brain and doesn't often pay attention to what she's doing, but she invites him over this episode and he's so excited to come because she never reaches out to him.
The red deer guy is Alastor, the Radio Demon. He was a Sinner that arrived in Hell some time ago and began toppling it's most powerful Overlords over night, broadcasting their screams to the public as a warning of his power. He shows up out of nowhere to help Charlie with her hotel and gives different answers as to why any time someone presses him on it. He's usually not this sweet towards Charlie, he's purely putting on a show to get under Lucifer's skin.
And then there's Mimzy... hoo boy. So the gist of her is that she's one of Alastor's old friends who would dance (and maybe bartend) at bars he went too. But what's more interesting his her behind the scenes development:
So Hazbin Hotel has been being worked on for ages by this girl named Viviane Medrano. It was originally going to be a comic book and way back in 2014 and she shared concept art of the 9 (if memory serves) main characters planned for the comic. Charlie, Vaggie, Alastor, Angel Dust, Husk, Nifty, Crimni, Mimzy, and Baxter.
Eventually Viv decided she wanted to make Hazbin a show, and began crowdfunding for a Pilot episode. In 2019 the Pilot came out. It prominently featured Charlie, Vaggie, Alastor, and Angel Dust, and both Husk and Nifty showed up at the very end of the episode to join the main cast. Crimini, Mimzy, and Baxter were all reduced to non-speaking 5 second or so cameos in crowd shots (Baxter was only a silhouette.)
In 2024 the show finally came out. Baxter and Crimini still only exist as background characters, but in this episode Mimzy finally showed up to interact with the cast. For longtime fans, the song is essentially a nod to waiting 10 years to finally see this girl in action. To new fans, they can relate to Lucifer and the Hotel staff's confusion over who tf she is.

9:40 reason behind him looking like that it was lore. When he was alive his mother died and made a vow to keep smiling thru all hard ships later on became a radio show host. Something happened along the way became a murderer/cannibal and used a deer hunting ground for fun with his prey. A completely different hunter was on his grounds with hunting hounds. Noticed Alastor while feasting but mistook him for a deer. Got shot and while running away at the same time the hunter got the hounds sent on him and tore him to shreds. Thats why his body looks all stitched up in some scenes. And why he looks the way he does❤

I don't know if anyone else pointed it out, but Mimzy at the end singing about "I know you've been waiting for me" is a reference to the fact that during the show's development she was supposed to join the main cast (along with some others) and some of the fans that knew about her were expecting her.
'More then anything' will give you a gut punch and leave you in tears. It is as sad as it is sweet.

Alastor is the red radio demon (my personal fav) he is so cool and charismatic and I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!! but anyways he is a deer because when he was alive he was a serial killer and when burying a body in the woods a hunter mistakenly took him for a deer and shot him (that’s why when he transforms there’s a red x on his forehead and you can see him transform in the song Stayed Gone) he also posses a radio voice and eyes because he was a radio show host when he was alive! I don't know if UA-cam has the full version of Happy Day in Hell. Its definately longer than a miniute. Maybe you could skip to where it starts on the actual episode (Episode 1. 8:39). Same with Stayed Gone (Episode 2. 8:56). I feel like the imagery is important for these songs so it might take away from the experience to just watch the lyric videos.
The girl thats cute is charlie and the main character and she is actually has a lot of songs, and the dear guy is alastor who sponsered the hotel in the first place and he has two or three other songs

In the Vivzieverse, when a Sinner dies and goes to Hell, they take on a form that's influenced in part by how they looked in life, partly the nature of the sins they committed, and partly the manner of their death. Alastor was a serial killer in the... 1930s I believe. IIUC, he was killed by a hunter after he got mistaken for a deer while burying one of his victims, and shot between the eyes (hence the little red "X" you can sometimes see on his forehead), then finished off by the hunter's dogs - which has led to a canonical hatred of dogs.
When you watch the series, remember to see the pilot first
I recommend watching the pilot on UA-cam before starting the show as it introduces the characters.

Another fun fact: you can really tell in this song, the VA credited Robin Williams as the genie in Aladin for inspiration for Satan's character and I think this song really exemplifies that
Lucifer has a rubber duck collection, as well as severe depression, just to clarify. While i don't usually like to spoil things, the song without context doesn't make too much sense. Charlie asked Lucifer for help, invited him to the hotel, and now he is here to see what she needs.
The reason his bond with Charlie isn't that great is because he is incredibly awkward and anti-social. He has issues with socializing, and doesn't really leave his workshop inside of his home for much of anything. The reason he doesn't leave his workshop is because Charlie's mother, and Lucifers wife Lilith, had disappeared without notice, and Lucy isn't very good with venting about his issues to strangers- so he sort of just bottles them up.
Anyways, back to the previous discussion, this song is him trying to tell Charlie that he is willing to help her with anything that she asks for. Alastor, the deer radio guy, likes messing with people for enjoyment, so he tries to upset Lucifer throughout the song. He doesn't get too far, and that's because he is the dad of the year.
Lucifer cares for her at an extreme level to leave the comfort of his home, and doesn't mind to show it without restraint throughout his scenes in the show. This is shown in the next song for the episode, More then Anything, is all about how much he cherishes charlie.
All in all, i suggest you simply just watch the entire show for the best experience.

Holy shit, you breaking it down and giving the frame by frame pauses is making me see a lot of hidden imagery with Alastor's parts that i hadn't seen before. This explains so much. Looks like most of your other questions have been answered. Hell has an overall circus theme. It's not super obvious in this show, as it's mostly represented by the leaders of Hell, so you see more of it in Helluva Boss, which takes place in the same universe. Clowns are super popular there, and lots of people just randomly look like circus folk.
As you now already know, the guys are Lucifer and Alastor. Alastor has lil antlers on his head too, but they get covered up by his ear shaped hair. He's the radio demon, which explains the static and also a deer demon. They were just having a dad-off, or just some kind of beef the entire song with Alastor trying to get under Lucifer's skin.

Not sure if you’ll get to see this, but the pilot on yt is soft canon, so highly rec watching that first. The number of souls you own = power & are the most prized bartering tool. If you’re not Hellborn, your looks/powers in hell are basically the embodiment of your soul and are a reflection of how you lived your life, how you died, and your personality. Lucifer themed Hell after a circus (hence why all the most powerful beings are circus themed), and there’s a canon power scale for different beings in hell if you wanna look it up. ✨

Alastor is a deer your observation is correct this doesn’t spoil anything in the show Viviane has revealed that he was someone in the 1960s who was shot mistaken for a deer as it entails with the X on his forehead and because he died that way it became a part of him and he hates all technology after his passing that’s why he has that voice filter he kinda serves as an anti hero in a way and is very mysterious and ominous but as the season goes the finale reveals something that is very daunting no spoilers though ;)
I somehow got dyslexia from reading this?? Glyph, where are the commas and dots? "Doesn't spoil anything for the show", *proceeds to explain the entire backstory of Alastors human life that has yet to be revealed in the show and may be possible shown in season 2*

Fun fact about the music: when Lucifer plays the accordion he plays a chord called a try-tone which in medieval times was called the devil’s chord because of how dissonant it is
