In the song "Hells Greatest Dad" Lucifer pulls out a Golden Fiddle to battle Alister. This is a fantastic reference to an old song called "The Devil Went Down to Georgia"
In this song, the devil challenges a random fiddle player named Johnny to a musical battle. The devil bets his fiddle of gold and Johnny bets his soul. Johnny ends up winning the battle.
Loved this little reference. Loved the video as well. Make sure to watch the actual series. Its great.

There's also the story of a violin piece known as The Devil's Trill Sonata. Its a difficult piece of violin music said to have come to the composer Giuseppe Tartini who claimed that the Devil appeared before him and used his violin to play a mesmerizing piece of music. Tartini then went on to try to recreate that music. It's a famously difficult solo piece for any violinist.
So Lucifer just seems to have a thing with Violins (Fiddles).

What does it say that even the weakest song is still damn good. Welcome to Heaven is my least favorite cause most of the other songs has some form of plot progression (IE You Didn't Know) character development (IE Loser) or world building (IE Happy Day in Hell). Welcome to Heaven has the latter but it isn't really necessary for it. And it's also the shortest aside from the reprise in episode 8. But that other part is a bit of a blessing in disguise because you don't wanna drag out your welcone song. Speaking of, it serves its purpose quite well. It's just a warm welcome song. And for what it is worth, Vaggie's reaction to Emily is hilarious.
