    My niece just asked me to hem her bridesmaids dress she just bought on etsy ... and it's velvet 😢 but this video gives me a little bit more hope especially the bit about the wax paper

    Can you share what is that clear grid marking thing you use for chalking your hem?

      Hi for marking I did used tailor chalk and for sewing I have used fax paper to make it smooth run, but if you have foot with ball underneath which we use for net fabric. That's more best, this tip i have show for those who have simple sewing machine yet they can run fabric smoothly. I hope this help.

      Absolutely if you have matching fabric or even net laces also work, like I have on my sleeves I'm wearing in video to increase sleeves length.

    I would have overlocked the edge and sew the hem with a twin needle. Different way 😊
