First of all THANK YOU very much for portraying all the little but meaningful details between these two so perfectly. You see all the things that most people might have missed or didn't noticed. What is going on between the lines. For example the moment at 1:05, when Steve lies on the ground and talk about "bull shit" while he is heartbroken. It's clear that he thought about Nancy at this moment! Or when Steve said he didn't laugh for a very long time ( obviously because he was still heartbroken. )There were so many little hints, that it's pretty evident why they might be endgame! Like this one bit in season 3 for example: Did you notice the fast looks between Steve and Nancy, when Robin is panicking about Eleven being hurt on the ground? It was a scene near the end of S3. Steve saw that Nancy felt uncomptable by Robins nervousness and so Steve stopped Robin by saying: "Robin, you are not helping." I love how attentive he was to Nancy. It was only a bit of a shared moment, but you can tell they had still a connection. Like you said it seemed like they were always intertwined in a way. Beautiful video by the way! ❤

Angel Ndikum I would urge you to wait for the next season because the reason I ship them is because I think they were more compatible as lovers where I think Jonathan and Nancy were more compatible as friends. I think Nancy and Steve has tons more chemistry than I ever saw with Jonathan. Her and Jonathan are too similar to have a spark and I think Nancy did love Steve but they weren’t in the same page and she needed to explore her feelings with Jonathan. We’ll see if they get closer in the next season, which I think they will.
False Glimmer Sorry about the late reply, but here is my take on this. To say Nancy and Steve “weren’t on the same page” is a HUGE understatement. Nancy didn’t love Steve at all in Season 2. By the end of Season 1, it was clear that she had developed feelings for Jonathan(hence the kiss on the cheek she gave him at Christmas). But a lot had happened to her in a short amount of time, and I don’t think she really knew what she wanted back then. She just lost her best friend, she was pretty broken, and she just wanted things to go back to normal. So, she kept up the act to avoid hurting Steve’s feelings and to protect her family’s reputation. I love Nancy, but it was really inconsiderate of her to play with Steve’s feelings, when she knew she wasn’t in love with him. Nancy herself said that she waited for Jonathan. Meaning she waited for Jonathan to make a move, but her never did, so she went back to Steve. She only went back to Steve because she thought Jonathan didn’t want to be with her, so Steve was basically a consolation prize. Nancy was in the wrong for not telling Steve that she had fallen for someone else(which would be Jonathan), and Steve is in the wrong for constantly hurting her mentally. Nancy had a lot of guilt about Barb’s death, and she was constantly repressing that guilt during her relationship with Steve, and he’s partially the blame for it. Steve wanted them to act like normal teens, as if that was going to make Nancy’s guilt and pain go away. And when she got drunk at Tina’s party and lashed out at him, she was showing her true colors. The alcohol didn’t give her those thoughts, and she couldn’t even bring herself to tell Steve that she loved him after-the-fact. So, what she said to Steve at the party in her drunken state were her true emotions, she wasn’t in love with him. Also, to say that she is only “experimenting” with her feelings for Jonathan, is complete and utter bullshit. I don’t think she would have slept with him the same night they had their first kiss, if she didn’t have a lot of built up passion. Which explains why their first kiss was so passionate. Also, by the time Season 3 rolls around, she and Jonathan have been going steady for about a year. By then, she would have known how she felt about him, and if she was truly in love with him. It’s clear that her feelings for Steve are dead and gone. Stancy simply wasn’t meant to be; now that the Byers have moved out of Hawkins, I pray to God that the writers are smart enough to give Steve and Nancy closure without having them get back together. Bringing Stancy back to give into the demands of the diehard Steve stans that refuse to see his flaws would be nothing more than lazy writing. Thanks for coming to my Ted-Talk.💕💕💕 (Oh, and in the scene where Nancy and Jonathan are in the motel and Nancy goes “What happened to us?”, basically confirms that she has feelings for Jonathan, otherwise she wouldn’t have said “I waited.” Meaning, she waited for Jonathan to make a move because she was aware of how he felt about her, but he never did, so she went back to Steve. She went back to Steve because she thought Jonathan didn’t want to be with her, so Steve was more of a consolation prize than anything. She was toying with Steve’s feelings for letting him believe that she was still in love with him, and it was an inconsiderate thing for her to do, but she did try to apologize to him afterwards. But all he said was, “It’s okay, Nancy.” Many people only want Stancy to make a comeback simply because Steve has redeemed himself and changed for he better, but that doesn’t mean he’s the right guy for Nancy. I hope the writers are smart enough to not break Jancy up in order to feed into the demands of the Steve stans. Please let’s be guided, and let’s not destroy characters arcs for the sake of shipping)💕💕💕 (One more thing, Nancy and Jonathan have incredible chemistry, you know, since the actors that play them are engaged irl and all😊) Also, please explain to me how Nancy and Jonathan are too similar? Jonathan was a shy, ostracized high-schooler with no friends, terrible social skills, and a passion for photography while being raised by his single mother. Nancy was a goody/two-shoes with good grades and a secret nerdy side, and had a best friend named Barbara. She gained the attention of the bad boy in school(Steve) and started swapping spit with him, and hanging out with his click. Nancy and Jonathan also had two entirely different upbringings, and they are in no way “too similar”. So, I have no idea how you came to that conclusion.
You need to put your Team Steve bias aside and focus on the simple fact that Nancy didn't love Steve. Okay? She loves Jonathan. She chose Jonathan over Steve. If you respect Steve and Nancy, you'd want them to be happy. She wasn't happy with Steve and he said in Season 3 that he wants to be happy with someone. If you actually like Steve and Nancy then you wouldn't ship Stancy.

Steve had always feelings for Nancy. Robin and Steve are platonic friends, nothing more. The little silly rebound crush he had for Robin was his way of trying to forget Nancy, that's why he went to dates with other girls, too. But he couldn't get involved with them, because his heart always belonged to Nancy only. What you saw was the facade of him, not his true thoughts and feelings. Deep down he never stopped loving Nancy. S4 proves it the best. And even in S3 he risked his life to save Nancy in the first place. Robin was/is only a good diversion for him. She made/make him laugh and is funny. That's exactly what he needed after the break up. He was heartbroken, so he tried to distract himself with her help. He likes Robin very much as a best friend, but he only loves Nancy in a romantic way. And even if you talk about "Crush" that doesn't mean "LOVE". Two diferent things. The only person he can imagine his future with is NANCY, like he made it clear. But since Nancy is in a relationship with Jonathan and she couldn't love him back, he TRIED to move on, but failed. 2. Speaking of which, Nancy never did! The Duffer Brothers themselves have stated that Steve and Nancy’s argument in the alley, the day after Tina’s party, was when they broke up. Nancy couldn’t even bring herself to tell Steve that she loved him, yet people still want them back together. Makes no goddamn sense.
3. If you feel bad for Steve, but you still want Nancy to get back together with him, then there is something seriously wrong with you. Stancy making a comeback in Season 4 would ruin both of their storylines, and their character arcs. Also, having Nancy change boyfriends each season would completely demolish her character. Let’s be guided.

Angel Ndikum I would urge you to wait for the next season because the reason I ship them is because I think they were more compatible as lovers where I think Jonathan and Nancy were more compatible as friends. I think Nancy and Steve has tons more chemistry than I ever saw with Jonathan. Her and Jonathan are too similar to have a spark and I think Nancy did love Steve but they weren’t in the same page and she needed to explore her feelings with Jonathan. We’ll see if they get closer in the next season, which I think they will.

Sorry about the late reply, but here is my take on this. To say Nancy and Steve “weren’t on the same page” is a HUGE understatement. Nancy didn’t love Steve at all in Season 2. By the end of Season 1, it was clear that she had developed feelings for Jonathan(hence the kiss on the cheek she gave him at Christmas). But a lot had happened to her in a short amount of time, and I don’t think she really knew what she wanted back then. She just lost her best friend, she was pretty broken, and she just wanted things to go back to normal. So, she kept up the act to avoid hurting Steve’s feelings and to protect her family’s reputation. I love Nancy, but it was really inconsiderate of her to play with Steve’s feelings, when she knew she wasn’t in love with him. Nancy herself said that she waited for Jonathan. Meaning she waited for Jonathan to make a move, but her never did, so she went back to Steve. She only went back to Steve because she thought Jonathan didn’t want to be with her, so Steve was basically a consolation prize.
Nancy was in the wrong for not telling Steve that she had fallen for someone else(which would be Jonathan), and Steve is in the wrong for constantly hurting her mentally. Nancy had a lot of guilt about Barb’s death, and she was constantly repressing that guilt during her relationship with Steve, and he’s partially the blame for it. Steve wanted them to act like normal teens, as if that was going to make Nancy’s guilt and pain go away. And when she got drunk at Tina’s party and lashed out at him, she was showing her true colors. The alcohol didn’t give her those thoughts, and she couldn’t even bring herself to tell Steve that she loved him after-the-fact. So, what she said to Steve at the party in her drunken state were her true emotions, she wasn’t in love with him.
Also, to say that she is only “experimenting” with her feelings for Jonathan, is complete and utter bullshit. I don’t think she would have slept with him the same night they had their first kiss, if she didn’t have a lot of built up passion. Which explains why their first kiss was so passionate. Also, by the time Season 3 rolls around, she and Jonathan have been going steady for about a year. By then, she would have known how she felt about him, and if she was truly in love with him. It’s clear that her feelings for Steve are dead and gone. Stancy simply wasn’t meant to be; now that the Byers have moved out of Hawkins, I pray to God that the writers are smart enough to give Steve and Nancy closure without having them get back together. Bringing Stancy back to give into the demands of the diehard Steve stans that refuse to see his flaws would be nothing more than lazy writing. Thanks for coming to my Ted-Talk.💕💕💕
(Oh, and in the scene where Nancy and Jonathan are in the motel and Nancy goes “What happened to us?”, basically confirms that she has feelings for Jonathan, otherwise she wouldn’t have said “I waited.” Meaning, she waited for Jonathan to make a move because she was aware of how he felt about her, but he never did, so she went back to Steve. She went back to Steve because she thought Jonathan didn’t want to be with her, so Steve was more of a consolation prize than anything. She was toying with Steve’s feelings for letting him believe that she was still in love with him, and it was an inconsiderate thing for her to do, but she did try to apologize to him afterwards. But all he said was, “It’s okay, Nancy.” Many people only want Stancy to make a comeback simply because Steve has redeemed himself and changed for he better, but that doesn’t mean he’s the right guy for Nancy. I hope the writers are smart enough to not break Jancy up in order to feed into the demands of the Steve stans. Also, please explain to me how Nancy and Jonathan are too similar? Jonathan was a shy, ostracized high-schooler with no friends, terrible social skills, and a passion for photography while being raised by his single mother. Nancy was a goody/two-shoes with good grades and a secret nerdy side, and had a best friend named Barbara. She gained the attention of the bad boy in school(Steve) and started swapping spit with him, and hanging out with his click. Nancy and Jonathan also had two entirely different upbringings, and they are in no way “too similar”. So, I have no idea how you came to that conclusion.
You need to put your Team Steve bias aside and focus on the simple fact that Nancy didn't love Steve. Okay? She loves Jonathan. She chose Jonathan over Steve. If you respect Steve and Nancy, you'd want them to be happy. She wasn't happy with Steve and he said in Season 3 that he wants to be happy with someone. If you actually like Steve and Nancy then you wouldn't ship Stancy.
