We are getting near the finish line with this Scratchbuilt Spider Bot! In this week's episode, I'l finish detailing the legs and start the painting process, in which I test some very unusal (to say the least) painting techniques...

Top level work. Beautiful.
Thank you!
Love this videos!
Thank you :)
Looks so amazing!!! Can’t wait for the finished piece!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you!
@@CutTransformGlue you are welcome 🤗
The copper color looks great.
thanks :D
This painting looks so nice! I really like the way you edit the video! 🤘
Thank you so much, buddy!
The calliper scratching is genius, and your filming really shows off the depth of your paintwork 😮
Thank you so much!
Excellent surface treatment on this! Glad to see your continuing progress on this project.
Thank you!!
Cool 👍
This is by far one of my favorite scratch builds, the detail and scale is amazing.
Thank you so much!
I love how much depth you Hadd to your paint jobs. Knocked it out of the park.
Beautiful work. The paint weathering looks totally amazing
Thank you!!
Great job! Love the weathering effect
Thank you ;)
Rite Transform Dude, The sprue is great for aerials as it can be heated and stretched really thin! TFS, GB :)
Thanks buddy, great ideia! Gotta test that some time
Lookin' great, love the scratched in panel lines accented with the slight value adjusted paint... pretty cool!
Thank you :D
That paint job looks amazing! Top notch work! Good call on saving the camo-pattern for a different project, it was a bit too detail-obscuring on this one, I think
Thank you so much!
I love the way you do weathering, and using the caliper for the scratches on a rounded surface is a great idea.
Thank you!
@ 2:05 The keyboard sound effect when you were tapping the "F1" key greeblie. 😆
I'm glad you noticed it haha :D
As cool as the camouflage would have looked, I think the weather surfaces with minimal color variation are SO cool!
Thank you :D
Mate, you should contact pixonic, war robots. Maybe design some mechs for thier game.
You must consume x100 more microplastics than most people with all those sanded off plastic dust everywhere on your desk lol
The camo pattern was just too small I think. You could apply a noise based camo pattern in Blender and experiment with different scale settings, just to see what looks right.
That's interesting, I guess that makes sense... Thank you!!
Ваша робота викликає захоплення.
Bro, I'm into the same thing as you. I'm glad for you that you can print and cut parts for products with a laser, but don't you think that a week by hand, that is, without a printer and laser, would be more interesting? What is done with soul cannot be worse than what is done with the help of technology. I don't find fault or hate, peace to everyone!! 👍🏼 to u
Thank you for your comment, buddy! This is a much longer conversation, but I guess technology has and will always change the creative process. Painters used to have to mix their own paint, and carpenters used to cut and drill planks by hand, without power tools. It's just that we don't consider today that a table saw is a shortcut, right? The same will happen to the 3D printer, a laser cutter at some point (and maybe someday AI? who knows). But yeah, I don't feel manual work is worse or better than 3D printing, for instance, or the opposite. These are all tools that allow me to try ideas and, of course, they change and influence my work. And that last part is what I, as an artist, should ponder and consider when making such choices :) Thanks again for your words!
