I don't know why laser cut acrylic would be an issue when you're already 3d printing parts.

Guess you're right, Dremel is not that powerful, but I wouldn't want a chunk of my finger removed! I'll be more careful. thank you S2

    Looks really cool!
I'd love to see a video on the original model as well, it lloks great also, and
It would be interesting to hear you talk about the evolution of your abilities/ techniques since then.
    Much love from NYC

Idk why laser you think laser cutting takes it out of scratch building, you use a lot of 3D printed stuff anyway.
That's not an issue, we love watching you build cool stuff.
Also, I love the bobby shape of that first one, looks amazing

Great to see this! I definitely use a laser cutter for some of my parts as well.
And on that note, I purchased your greeblie packackage for the holidays, and I have already printed and made use of several of those forms, so thank you! Those are very useful elements.
Looking forward to your future work in the new year.

Would the head look better if the seperator band was ribbed like some kind of heat vent?

Looks like fun. I see you have a lady friend, going by the blue container holding up your build. I have a few of those too, just can't throw away such a beautiful color.

I feel like this could look cool covered in a bunch of explosive reactive armour bricks since it's so round, a nice contrast.
Just a suggestion though; looks great so far.

    Another great build video!
I will say if you have the tools to make your own greeblies / parts, it would be absurd not to use said tools.
I'm looking at getting a laser cutter when I get my shop finished later this year.

This is a fantastic demonstration of how to utilize modern tools to supercharge creativity. Let me know if I missed anything: CAD/CAM, a Laser CNC, a 3D Filament Printer, a 3D Resin Printer, a Dremel and a Mini Disc-Sander. And the results look awesome! 👍👍👍

Its a little sad that some people want to 'pigeon-hole' what 'scratch-building' is - its like trying to tell us what is a greeblie and what isn't, ha! You take inspiration from all sorts of places, from found objects to mechanical solutions and not every piece in the 'junk-box' can always compiment the vision that evolves in a build. Having said that, I see you as an evolution of the 'scratch-builder' taking the skill into the tech age. Your pieces are more like prototypes for props or even kits. I don't think your full potential has been reached but meanwhile keep on amazing us with your unique approach to model making. You have always been an inspiration to me and instead of 'making do' with some parts I will stop, and make the bits I need! Cheers my friend.

Rite Transform Dude, Great build n not cheating using laser cutter, you get the parts from where ever you can! I was building a model tank kit the other day and was wondering if you have considered using the sprues off model kits (most modelers throw them away)? The reason for asking is that some of the sprues were very interesting shapes one bit looked like a roll cage another looked like an antenna, lots of the bits looked like they could be very useful!
