Purpose: Audit for the Original Mecha CupCup Challenge 2024 (Part 1)
Executive Summary:
This report details the early stages of Aeromecha Industries' newest flying mech "Weaponized Aerial Solo-Patrol" (WASP) project, currently competing for prestige in the '24 CupCup design contest. Commentary provided by mech design lead, Dr. Benson. Although the submitted evidence at the end of this audit appears to have an almost completed mech, it is worth noting that only the form for the exterior shell for the WASP has been completed. No functional or system components have been fully installed.
Key Findings:
There are concerns with the proportionally large primary turbine engine proposed by Aeromecha Industries, but future audits will convey test results. Contest requirements of one cup, two clothes pegs, and three caps have been met while also remaining within the 15cm x 15cm x 15cm limited build volume. More info: www.originalmechacontest.com/...
Public Advisory:
Project WASP has been officially recognized by the International Auditing Commission as original work of Dr. Benson’s team within Aeromecha Industries and is considered proprietary technology of aforementioned parties. Attempts to claim information disclosed within this package will be met with swift justice by the Royal Technocratic Dominion.

HORG doesn't mess around! It's cool seeing how their findings proved valuable during assembly
This build is awesome, so creative. The narration and production are professional. Can't wait for more. Fires the imagination
Thank you! Recording more tomorrow 😎
Looking great! I can't wait to hear more from Dr. Benson and see what the team adds to the build next! 😎
Next up - detailing!
Creative and clever! Well done.
Glad to see your working process here. Very well documented!
The production value on this is insane. I know nothing about building but this was super interesting to watch! Can’t wait for part 2!
Thank you! Hopefully it’s just as interesting in part 2!
Great build, and the narration was inspired! Can't wait to see more!
Very interesting style. Nice work.
Came for the build... stayed for the voiceover! Great work!
Thank you! 🙏
Amazing video! Loved how you mounted the engine with the magnets!
Thanks! I’ve been using them more and more for pivots, but two makes for a great rigid connection
What an awesome build!!! 😊
Brilliant❤
The design is great ! But the moviecomment is just brilliant 😎😎😎😎😎
Thank you! I really wanted to try something a bit more fun than the usual narration 🙂
You nailed it !@@proto.roborovski
Dude. You are awesome. Keep on the good work. I love the narration.
Thank you!
Very cool build and narration :)
Wonderful stuff. I will watch vids like this every time 👍👍👍
Thank you! I’ll do my best 😁
Aand I just caught the Occulpanid Research Group reference. You get bonus points for that!
Haha thank you! I was trying to avoid saying bread clips 😁
The engineering (and reporting of such) is great. Boeing could use you about now!
I have already signed up! perfect for stop motion! Big idea! Thanks!
Thank you!
Wow. Excellent work. I like the narration. Very flavorful. Somehow, it seems familiar. Did you have an older channel?
Thank you! Nope, this is my first go of it and I wanted to try something I hadn’t seen on UA-cam 😁
Outstanding, can’t wait to see where your channel goes! Do you have more info about the cupcup contract you could share?
Certainly! I can’t share URLs on UA-cam but the originalmechacontest web site has all details. The very summarized contest rules are in the description 😁
@@proto.roborovski haha sorry i should have read the description fully!
@@cathopreicon No worries! I've added an external URL to the description under Key Findings if you want a direct link
If I may ask, what version of the Weld-on liquid solvent are you using there?
I’m using Weld-On 3 for styrene plastics like ABS but only if I need the strength. Feel free to always ask!
@@proto.roborovski Thank you! I saw that there were several varieties when I was looking online, but I was not sure which would work best for my own kitbash/scratchbuild work.
@@krzysztofmathews738 if you are kitbashing typical sprue models, you can use Weld on 3 because they are styrene, or you can get a specialty glue like Tamiya thin cement. I personally prefer super glue but it has a number of it’s own downsides, it just doesn’t smell or have toxic solvents 😂
@@proto.roborovski Yeah, I regularly use the Starbond varieties of CA glue, especially for gluing dissimilar materials. That said, I have an airbrush spray booth that I use when I need to vent other chemical fumes. :) For larger or heavier material ( I build life sized cyborg animals, among other things) I use Gorilla Clear Grip or Heavy Duty adhesive.
one vid? i sub for more
Thank you! I’m just getting started, more videos to come!
