When this album was released in Nov 1971 I turned 20! Saw Led Zeppelin in 1977 at the Chicago Stadium. Bought my first concert t-shirt there. Concert tshirts weren't a thing until the late 1970's. The Crunge and The Ocean are two of my favorites. Led Zeppelin is still good for whatever ails you.
"Over The Hills & Far Away" is one of my favorite songs of all time! LOVE It! There's a reason...lol! But I mean every Led Zeppelin song is pretty fuckin great ya know! Lol! 💯🔥🖤🎶🤘 RIP John Bonham
Led Zeppelin IV is the very first Zeppelin I ever heard, on an 8-Track tape sitting in my brother's brand new '72 El Camino on a Pioneer Tape Deck with JBL Speakers right in the door panels. That's why I've been a Zepp fan since I was 9 years old! (Made me forget the Partridge Family real fast!)🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦
Misty mountain hop is my favorite Led Zep song I think your about my age. This was actually our parents music. But we had cool parents back in the day. ✌️
(I hit wrong button so contd...) and you feel them thru your soul. As far as Rush goes, there would be no RUSH without YES! Geddy and I talked about it. Both of us HUGE Yes fans.
Wow do you know how long it’s been since I’ve heard this song I think I got this album Wayback in 70s before the 70s oh my God I’m so glad you played this I don’t love your reaction isn’t it start damn Led Zeppelin so freaking good
John Bonham is doing back up singing on this song. He had a good voice in his own right. When they did the 2007 “reunion” concert where John’s son Jason sat in his dads chair for the drums, he also provided BACK up vocals for this song. Only fitting.
John Paul Jones plays bass, keyboards, Mellotron and mandolin, not all at the same time, but he can play bass and keyboards at the same time. He also arranged and conducted orchestral parts for some LZ songs.
And that's why they broke up in 1980 when John died. One of saddest days of my life. Occasionally they get back together, I've seen them with Phil Collins and John Jr.
Led zeppelin fans... check out Coheed and cambrias the final cut live at starland ballroom. Ive always thought of them as the led zep of my generation. He lightly touches on jimmy pages style with violin bow playing respectfully done. Love both bands
His vocals are double tracked, common on a lot of rock and pop music and is common for other instruments as well. Sometimes is very subtle and recorded twice with slightly different techniques (mic placement, effects, etc.)
Growing up with them they had a rumor that they sided with the devil because it wasn't possible for such success to behold one band. They were that good
The three best Zeppelin songs are In My Time of Dying, Kashmir and When the Levee Breaks. Since you liked the first one, you owe it to yourself to listen to the other two. 😈💕😈
Yo Van, I play quite a bit a Zeppelin 🥁🥁 when I practice, but the one song I ALWAYS play is, Nobody's Fault But Mine. You've gotta check that one; the breaks and syncopation is too much fun. 🔥🤘🏽🔥🤘🏽
I think you've heard enough now to know what I'm talking about when I say that Zeppelin was the one band who's songs sounded nothing alike and yet, you knew it was Zeppelin in the first measure or two. One of the most amazing bands of our time.
Over the Hills is a basic live track of drums, bass and 6 string acoustic guitar. The overdubs are a 12 string acoustic guitar, electric guitar and Plant double-tracking his voice with Jones playing a clavinet on the fade out. Simple. Haha. Just another day in the office for those dudes.
Zeppelin was like a cook who gave you and awesome dish, but every time you thought you would get the same meal, the cook mixed up all the spices and you got something completely different, but you always loved it.
Talkin' 'bout movin'! I'm really used to hearing the start of 'The Crunge' right after the ending of 'Over the Hills...' Get your funk on and let that thing roll!
The drums are always BOLD with LZ , even the lighter slow tracks. Plus Bonzo puts lotsa swing and dynamics into anything they would construct. Yeah man!
The song 'D'yer Mak'er' is pronounced the same way as the country 'Jamaica'. It's English slang for asking someone 'Did you make her?' or did you you sleep with her.
When my teenage daughters were acting a fool. I would sing that line from this song to them. Why don’t you take a look at yourself and describe what you see? Baby baby baby do ya like it? They would get so mad at me. Because they know mom’s always right!
My son will.freak! He.hates rock but if I didn't try.to get him to check it.out but his friends did... He.hates when I sing more, he's 16! I DEFINITELY AM DOING THIS! At least my stress levels will be move chill😂
It's almost too good to understand how difficult it is. It sounds fairly straightforward until you start hearing about all the super talented drummers that really struggle to play it.
@@shaun374 its the hi hat work. its completely off tempo to the rest of the song, there's a video that breaks down why its so complex, id check it out if you're interested.
It was John Paul Jones on the harpsichord (baroque plucked stringed keyboard) at the end of the song, with Page coming in a few seconds later on an electric guitar, perhaps a pedal steel ( flat mounted slide) guitar.
if it has strings or keys he can play it and if Orchestramental sounds get involved then JPJ and JP can conduct anything and plant mastered his voice as an instrument
I grew up on Led Zeppelin, (born in '79), Over The Hills and Far Away is by far my favourite songs of theirs.
Led Zeppelin was formed by Jimmy Page 3 weeks before recording the First album 😮 all 4 of them were just Kids! Robert Plant was 19😮😮
"Over The Hills & Far Away" is one of my favorite songs of all time! LOVE It! There's a reason...lol! But I mean every Led Zeppelin song is pretty fuckin great ya know! Lol!
💯🔥🖤🎶🤘
RIP John Bonham

Excellent ⭐️🎶
Misty mountain hop is my favorite Led Zep song I think your about my age. This was actually our parents music. But we had cool parents back in the day. ✌️
Bonzooooooo,🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
Loved this!
Thank you!
🍺🍻🍺
Misty mountain always my favorite.
Thanks for spending the time doing this
Led Zeppelin was a studio band. Lots of layered tracks.
I’ve seen, in concert, Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant solo 4x, including 2019, Page at least 4x
(I hit wrong button so contd...) and you feel them thru your soul. As far as Rush goes, there would be no RUSH without YES! Geddy and I talked about it. Both of us HUGE Yes fans.
Over The Hills is my favourite Zeppelin tune 🖤
I guarantee you will be absolutely amazed at the amount of songs they made, and you'll love EVERY SINGLE ONE of them....
Just Jimmy Page with a 12 string guitar 🎸🔥✌️🇺🇸
I keep revisiting your Zeppelin journey! Please create a Playlist!
Great reaction!!! Love your channel. 🤘Rock On!🤘
Awesome review. Thanks
Love to see you enjoying some music 🎶
They are ALL masters at their crafts. 🐐
And we did stand in line.....to get tickets.
Wow great great reaction to the goats!
Entertainment galore watching these Zeppelin reactions from you.
It's Robert dubbing his own voice. Love your reactions!❤
Love the music
I love your channel
I love your channel. Love that you know music! They were masters
my 2 favorite song buy zeppelin
The song thank you -jimmy page back up vocals with plant in the song ❤❤
The Greatest Rock Band ⁉️🎶🎵🎙🎸⚡🚀🎉💯
Gotta agree with that drumming part. Very cool , always loved it.
You should check out their albums, you’d love it! Their most popular is called Led Zeppelin IV
As far as I know Sandy Denny is the only one, other than Plant, that is credited for singing on a Led Zeppelin tune, (Battle of Evermore).
Led Zeppelin only used an additional singer one time. She sang on The Battle of Evermore.
Wow do you know how long it’s been since I’ve heard this song I think I got this album Wayback in 70s before the 70s oh my God I’m so glad you played this I don’t love your reaction isn’t it start damn Led Zeppelin so freaking good
Over the hills and far away, always one of my favorites
Nice!
Oh my God....hours spent studying to these two albums (on 8-track) in high school. Good times
Genius level talent- facts. Enjoy! Welcome to the party.🤘😎🔥🔥🔥🔥These guys are the GOATS. No question.

I am in a really dark place right now but this helped. Thanks
Hugs to you sis
Love & light to you ❤️
We're here for you xx
Two excellent tracks man! Great picks
John Paul Jones plays bass, keyboards, Mellotron and mandolin, not all at the same time, but he can play bass and keyboards at the same time. He also arranged and conducted orchestral parts for some LZ songs.
Yes, Work Phone is doubling up on his vocals in the recordings
Walked down the aisle at my wedding to over the hills and far away
You're a smart guy. Great analysis and comments.
Misty Mountain Hop is probably one my favorite of their's!
Good job Craig.
Damn!
John Paul Jones does play the mandolin; while Jimmy is playing the acoustic live on a few songs.
And that's why they broke up in 1980 when John died. One of saddest days of my life. Occasionally they get back together, I've seen them with Phil Collins and John Jr.
Great tele-reaction.

Nobody's Fault But Mine, and I Cant Quit You Baby(blues, blues, blues)!!
The three best Zeppelin songs are In My Time of Dying, Kashmir and When the Levee Breaks. Since you liked the first one, you owe it to yourself to listen to the other two. 😈💕😈
The dubs were made for the Dolby stereo
And "The Crunge"!
Over the Hills is in my top 5 Zep.
Yo Van, I play quite a bit a Zeppelin 🥁🥁 when I practice, but the one song I ALWAYS play is, Nobody's Fault But Mine. You've gotta check that one; the breaks and syncopation is too much fun. 🔥🤘🏽🔥🤘🏽
All of them were good enough to be session musicians - that is why they sound so tight and why the playing is so good.
‘The Rain Song’ is lit
Watch them live u can c on Kashmir
Over the hills and far away is my favorite between the two.
I think you've heard enough now to know what I'm talking about when I say that Zeppelin was the one band who's songs sounded nothing alike and yet, you knew it was Zeppelin in the first measure or two. One of the most amazing bands of our time.
Best memories I have is all the music. Be 56 in 3 days. Where did the time go??
I love Led Zeppelin so much.. My fave is "When the Levee Breaks"
It was John Paul Jones at the end on a harpsichord-like keyboard.
Over the Hills and Far Away is great 👍
I really hope this renewed interest in rock and roll inspires some new tunes. We’ve been starving. We were so spoiled in the ‘70s!
Super Band. Rock Gods. The Best!
Thank for recognizing the often passed over genius of John Paul Jones!

Hey, someone got to Misty Mountain Hop. Way to go LFR's.
I know eh,. Rocking out!
Please do Achilles last stand
Zeppelin was like a cook who gave you and awesome dish, but every time you thought you would get the same meal, the cook mixed up all the spices and you got something completely different, but you always loved it.
fool in the rain!! come on next please
The drummer John Bonham is Robert Plants back up singer..A few times page has.. but thats rare.
Bro... that's like asking me which of my kids is my favorite. I love them equally for their uniqueness. Rock on!
Talkin' 'bout movin'!
I'm really used to hearing the start of 'The Crunge' right after the ending of 'Over the Hills...' Get your funk on and let that thing roll!
Led Zeppelin week is going pretty well...
In case you haven't already done so, check out "Ramble On".
OTHAFA is another song that you know this is Zeppelin 3 seconds in IMO. It also might be because I've heard this song over 1000 times.
D'yer Maker?
No, she went of her own accord....
Not really to do with s*x, just related to accents.
You might listen to “How Many More Times”, from Zeppelin 1, personally my favorite Zep tune.
When my teenage daughters were acting a fool. I would sing that line from this song to them. Why don’t you take a look at yourself and describe what you see? Baby baby baby do ya like it? They would get so mad at me. Because they know mom’s always right!

Before Led Zeppelin Jimmy Page was in a band called The Yard Birds with Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck.
Yardbirds:
"HEART FULL OF SOUL"
"FOR YOUR LOVE"
I don't think all three were in at the same time. I think Clapton lef and Page replaced him.
@@tombreeden595not quite. Jimmy said no and suggested Jeff Beck. After Jeff was kicked out Jimmy joined
When they did a groove they dig that mother
You want some sick drumwork? Check out "Fool in the Rain"
Shuffle!
YES!
It's almost too good to understand how difficult it is. It sounds fairly straightforward until you start hearing about all the super talented drummers that really struggle to play it.

The battle of evermore is an awesome song!
Son .. you are one of the best reactors out there ~. Excellent entertainment lad 😉

Check out "How Many More Times" (Danmark) - one of their earliest video recordings, band in first year or so
if it has strings or keys he can play it and if Orchestramental sounds get involved then JPJ and JP can conduct anything and plant mastered his voice as an instrument
And Bonzo sang backup on a few tracs.
The studio cuts also show what a genius producer Jimmy Page was.
John Bonham did the backing vocals on this track as he does on a lot of zep tracks! He actually can sing!
