thanks i was just going to upgrade mine . i was thinking M.2 NVMe 1 TB & SSD 2TB . also there is 16gb ram i can add 1 more 16gb to make it 32..

Thanks! Depends if you want you can upgrade it by m.2 NVME/SSD or by standard 2.5" SSD, it's up to you? M.2 should be faster, if it's an older laptop maybe the difference wouldn't be that big because of chipset limitation, but if it's a newer Asus TUF model then there is a big difference between M.2 NVMe for example and M.2 SSD or standard SSD.

Yes, of course you can, laptop has two RAM slots so you can make it 2x8GB.

I think it should support 32Gb with no issues, maybe even 64Gb, for 16Gb total RAM, you can put one stick of 16Gb RAM or 2x8Gb RAM.

I am not sure, it may work, and it may not depending if they didn't change anything just the color of light for these two variants then yes, if not it will not work, haven't tried so I can't confirm.

M.2 connection SSD should be faster especially if its NVME drive.
what brand is the ram that the laptop comes with? Does it matter if i buy another stick with the same specs but different brand?
I don't remember for this one, usually its Micron, or SKHynix or Samsung, but you can put any kind of major brand and it will work, avoid those no name brands from Ali Express and everything will be OK.
@Alkib Tech I opened it up and noticed it's a samsung ram but couldn't find any 8gb 2666hz one so I ordered a kingstone one with the exact same specs

hii, i have so many problems with this laptop ,
first , i upgraded my ram and also installed ssd last year and laptop boots fast but it lags in every game i play even low spec games, i dont know why but this happens a lot
secondly , the screws in back of my laptop are stuck they just wont come out , any solution for that ????
It needs to be checked by a technician, I can't give you any suggestion like this, I had to check a lap[top myself with so many problems.
same problem here, terrible lags (even with custom minimal windows for gaming), overheating, stuck screws (took them out by force, never put them back). Now i'm sure it's a faulty design.

Single rank is faster in theory, to be honest with RAM always the most important thing is quantity, then the next is operating speed.

what if i dont unplug the battery
On MSI laptops something will go wrong for sure. On Asus maybe nothing happens, but it is a precaution, to deny laptop of any electricity, while you are changing components.
