- I have been promising to do a full studio tour for ... well.. how long has the channel been going?
I have split this into a few parts to allow a bit of a chat about each synth and a more relaxed feel to the video (and limit the amount of time you have to listen to me at once haha). Hopefully the next part will be along next week or the week after.
Hope your all doing well!
Mike.
When you see nice things you have 2 possibilities: Either you're jealous, you would like this person doesn't have such things, or you're envious, you would love to have such nice things yourself.
Awesome! Looking forward to the next installment!
Some legends for sure!
Thanks for sharing, Mike. I don't get a sense that anything is superfluous in your studio; it all seems to have a clear purpose, ... mostly :)
Lots of awesome gear ! Great video mike!
that’s really awesome michael! loving the introduction / explanation, especially. now hooked for part 2. it would be lovely, if you could quickly play one favourite signature sound on at least some of these - just for a glimpse of what they can do for you... i can’t wait to see all this in the flesh one day... 😊
Very impressive!
Wow nice video! I know how hard you have worked for that studio. You got me with Newt 😆
Thanks for sharing
Great stuff. Would love to see how you’ve set up your MPC X as your MIDI hub.
Thanks! The Synclavier is my fav of course. Will never buy it or the fairlight, because i have noone who could repair it :-(
As the owner of some uncommon E-MU gear, I totally understand where you're coming from about your collection and I appreciate you sharing it with us in video form! The Fairlight CMI is such a fascinating machine to me; really enjoyed your series on the 1x Build as well.
The saga deepens!
Very cool look forward to part 2! There is a Raveolution available locally pretty cheap I’ve been curious about. Would you say it is worth getting at a very affordable price?
This video, IMHO, has been a long time coming. Thanks for doing it. As a gear guy also I'm more of a "when one thing comes, another goes", or vice versa. But I have a lot of respect for guys that keep all their heirlooms permanently. I have a minimalist OCD and anti-clutter psychiatric disorder (non-clinical) so I'm constantly flushing out/liquidating things I don't use regularly (mint condition Oberheim Two Voice and Jupiters are no longer in my possession, sadly).. It's not a financial thing but rather an anti- clutter thing. BUT I love living vicariously through you which is why I sub to your IG and UA-cam. Can't wait for episode #2.
You have a pretty efficient setup there I think, and what a lovely collection! Was that a D50 at the bottom of your "digital" rack?
Good video
Like the longcase clock. Who's the maker?
stop talking....we get it...but gloat...gloat gloat gloat...show us the goodies. we're happy you have them. good things are to be celebrated man! congrats!
