- Don Knotts receives his star on the Hollywood walk of fame December 4th, 1999
Andy Griffith, John Ritter & The Honorary Mayor of Hollywood Johnny Grant. All four legends are no longer with us may they all rest in peace.
Proudly this was a time when getting a star on the walk of fame meant something. Thank you for sharing.
Long overdue Hollywood Star, Don Knotts was the best at his craft.5X Emmy as Dep.Fife not many have achieved that feat. God Bless RIP Don.
R.I.P we all loved you john and don . I love you so much
all three of them are comedy legends!🖒
Still watching The Andy Griffith Show in 2021!! Been watching this show since I was a little girl!
RIP all 3 😢😢
I love these guys, thanks for showing!!!
Don Knotts was amazing.
It was unbelievable that John died before Don.
yeah :(
First John then Don now Andy's gone too
Y?
@@lawranew5125 he was many years younger.
As a child, i grew fond of both shows he was a part of. I never realized John Ritter would become one of my favorite actors and then have so much in connection with Don, both on and off the set. Chris Reeve is my favorite actor, and even that mans left us.
Man I wish I was old enough to attend this event but was only 2 years old! I'm only 24 but The Andy Griffith Show is in my mind the greatest Television show that has ever come out on Hollywood! So sad that Don, Andy, and John are all gone now but their legacies will never be gone! Thank you guys for all the joy you brought us on TV
Loved Don knots he was brilliant.
That show will be on when the world comes to an end
Seeing all these real American stars is overwhelming I miss them
I know how you feel... memories gone... it's heartbreaking.
Andy and Don are right up there with the best of comedy teams, But unlike most comedy duos, they had a genuine friendship that came across the screen.
I loved them , my God they are all gone, may they all Rest In Peace!
Best memories of my childhood
didn't know this video existed! it warms my heart--miss all of these actors so much
I agree. To see all these actors who made me laugh together.

LOL! Yay to the officer at the end who knew that Deputy Fife carried only one bullet!
You ask them the easiest TV Question and they

Ha ha! Very good!
You know, I was there for the induction festivities. My favorite moment was when, during Mr. Knott’s acceptance speech, someone in the crowd yelled out, “Attaboy, Don!”An allusion to The Ghost and Mr. Chicken, of course (“Attaboy,
Luther!”). It was so appropriate and so delightfully funny! :)
I love these three they are funny guys
One of the best family oriented shows of all time. They don't make them like that anymore.
Rip don knotts
'Atta boy Luther!

Matthew, I am looking for Biographical material on Johnny Grant, the Mayor of Hollywood. Do you know if a full length video on him exists?
avflowers Are you asking if I have more footage of Johnny Grant?
The three of them are gone
I don't think it was Dec 4th. but January 19, 2000. My wife and were there and we had just got back from vacation in Fiji for Y2K.
All 3 brilliant actors and people-dead now. Aging sucks and soon we shall join them. RIP you 3-we love you - MAGA!
I second MAGA
John and Don had great chemistry together. That was such a fun show. A little misogynistic after the fact but it was still a great show.

Was the camera guy having a coronary?
No Coronary, I the camera guy, was shooting on a cheap camera from a distance. 🤓
