Zombie Squad The interviewer in this video said him and his wife were barely seen in the hollywood fame circle. In other words they barely went to those show off parties. He was very cool and laid back. Very down to earth guy.
He didn't do many interviews and like other actors that hate being interviewed, he would sometimes make up things about his past that were lies just to mess with the interviewers. He was a shy and introverted person who didn't like to socialize with many people, only those that were very close to him got to see the real him. Very sweet guy, and better actor than he's given credit for...his earlier roles showcase his range and array of characters that he could play. Plus, he had a unique and exquisite look from his Tatar ancestry...very beautiful man when he was younger.
Bronson never liked to be honored, and was never truly respected by Hollywood because he played by his own rules. He was kind, gentle and humble. A guy anyone can relate to.
Awesome video, Charles Bronson is one of my favorite actors and since he was so private it's always great to see these little "behind the scenes" type clips of him. Thanks for posting!
At work today I spoke of Charles Bronson. And all 6 employees had never heard of him????????? I asked if they had heard of Clint Eastwood and all said yes !???! :( LONG LIVE BRONSON/EASTWOOD
If the world only knew wich great movies mr. Bronson appered in, like the 'Death Wish' series, '10 To Midnight', 'Murphy's Law a.m.o. He definately deserved this.
I met him back in the mid 80's when I worked in a clothing store in the westside pavillion. I got right away that he was a very private man so his reaction in this vid is no surprise to me. I still treasure the autographed merhcandise reserve card he signed for me.
This is great, nice to see the big man give a rare interview and not just step up to the mike, say thanks and then leave, though he looked as though he would have liked to have done just that. Thanks for posting.
@ironwind1972 ..It was just luck that I got to see it ,and just happen to have my VCR on record and a VHS TAPE ROLLING when it was aired on tv back in Dec 1980 ..Thanks for commenting !! take care , Phantom in Phoenix Az
@@phantomofphoenix Might have been luck that you recorded it, but appreciate you saving it for 40 years and taking the time to post on UA-cam. Otherwise something like this would be lost in time.
@@Ironwind1972 ,It's just luck i guess that the VHS TAPE I recorded it on survived this long ( in fact i still have the tape to this day and it plays fine !! ) the pain was getting it uploaded on UA-cam , since the source was ANALOG video tape I had to dubb the vhs analog signal to a Dvd -R (i had a DVD stand alone recorder back in 2008 ) so after i had converted it from Analog to Digital i was able to upload it to my UA-cam channel ...As far as i can tell im the only one on the internet that has this video posted !!
Bronson was a very unstary superstar, a person who was what he seemed a real nice guy, with a lovely wife, perfect couple------hope their together up there.x
A wonderfull man obviously a private man too and depending on the film because i thought him very poor in the death wish movies but love him in the westerns he was a good actor, though i would not say great. He had a certain look in his armour that said a million words and could be very powerfull indeed. May he rest in peace.
I love the way that mr bronson does not perform for the cameras he is no mr hollywood thats for sure just a good old proffesional actor i say well done for not getting over emotional, i bet inside bronson is probrably thinking this is all bullshit lol.
Yeah, I remember riding the bus on Hollywood Blvd. in the 80s, and as the bus passed Bronson Ave. I thought "hmmm, I wonder if they named this street after Charles Bronson." - As it turns out, he named himself after that street. lol!
@cfetterhoff // thanks for watching Gail ! Bronson is my fav also, i ve allways liked him better then Clint Eastwood or Chuck Norris (dont get me wrong) i like Eastwood and Norris also ,but Bronson is #1 fav for me !!!
Amazing actor LOL even in his interviews it looks like he never stopped acting. In other words he doesn't have to act, he is a pro. Just Amazing. I enjoyed growing up watching his movies. The ironic part is in Death Wish who ever has any affiliation with him ends up dead LOL. Every wife or date he is with ends up getting killed. Too funny, but still fun to watch.F*CK Arnold this is a true legend without steroids :)
Jill starred in Death Wish 2 as Paul Kersey's (Bronson) girlfriend. I did not know she was his wife in real life. Beautiful lady. Look up the word, man, in the dictionary and you see a picture of Bronson. The same applies for the word masculine. Hard to find real men like Bronson nowadays, there seems to be an unstoppable trend in procreating males that never progress beyond boy status. For example: mostly any famous kid named Justin. Take your pic, it don't matter what their last name is.lol
I am a huge fan of the original bad ass. But even you can buy a star at the chinese theater. For the sum of 6 figures. Bronson didnt learn English till he was a teen. Earned a purple heart and flew 25 combat mission in a B-29 superfortress while serving with the 39th Bombardment group out of Guam. Thank you Mr. Bronson for your brave service.
He took his stage name from Bronson Ave., a street that intersects with Hollywood Blvd. further down past Vine St. - I'm surprised they didn't put his star there. Seems like it would be appropriate, but perhaps he didn't want that.
He may have had an awesome presence but man did his movies suck by the 80s Eastwood was the better one because he found himself as an artist Bronson never did
Sorry about cheezy music ..i taped this off TV back in 1980 ,from a show called ''WORLD OF PEOPLE '' ..it was a magazine type show ..they added the music at the time of broadcast in 1980 ..and its mono audio ..if it were stereo , I probably could use some mixing software to try and remove the music..but fact that its MONO source audio/not much i can do..
Bronson is by far one of the best ever.
It's rare to see an actor that's so modest & shy. Well deserved, when the walk of fame actually meant something!

"Charles Bronson Day" would be the only day in the world when there is no crime
It's always Charles Bronson day!
At work today I spoke of Charles Bronson. And all 6 employees had never heard of him?????????
I asked if they had heard of Clint Eastwood and all said yes !???! :(
LONG LIVE BRONSON/EASTWOOD
He was pure awesome.
WOW this is great. Rare interview with one of my favorite stars. RIP Charlie! THANKS for putting this on the tube! : )
Video quality is pretty good for 1980.
If the world only knew wich great movies mr. Bronson appered in, like the 'Death Wish' series, '10 To Midnight', 'Murphy's Law a.m.o.
He definately deserved this.
Charles Bronson forever....
Bronson never showed off. Never in publicity bullshit.. That's one of the main things I liked. Thx for posting.
Another quete: GOODBYE... Bang!!
WOW! Rare to see him outside of film, thanks for posting!!
He is good Charles Bronson in many films love to watch him acting thank you for sharing very good video.
Best QUOTE in Death Wish III.. "I'm Hungry." Best actor EVER!
I met him back in the mid 80's when I worked in a clothing store in the westside pavillion. I got right away that he was a very private man so his reaction in this vid is no surprise to me. I still treasure the autographed merhcandise reserve card he signed for me.
Right in front of Mann's Theatre. I hope to one day visit it. Such a great actor.
he was so cool
This is one of my favorite actors Charles Bronson. He is great!!! Gail
thank you for your kind words! and thank you for watching!!

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
His name definitely belongs there! 👍

Bronson was a very unstary superstar, a person who was what he seemed a real nice guy, with a lovely wife, perfect couple------hope their together up there.x
Sure do miss Charles Bronson.
He deserves ten stars
Charles Bronson made his dad the man of the house when he moved out
Lmao
Thank you.
My favorite actor and movies - Death Wish 1 and 2
Great role model for surging forward, thanks.
That video is still in fairly good quality considering it was filmed way back in late 1980.
Hey, Charles Bronson Day is in three days! Time to watch some Bronson.
When charles bronson was alive ... Crime was at record lows .... Hahaha .
miss this guy
Charlie, what would you rather be doing right now?….Having lunch. 😂👍🏻

Bronson, the man
seems like he is a model for many current celebrities.
In a Class of his own...that's the Tough as Nails Class!
Yeah, I remember riding the bus on Hollywood Blvd. in the 80s, and as the bus passed Bronson Ave. I thought "hmmm, I wonder if they named this street after Charles Bronson." - As it turns out, he named himself after that street. lol!
And Steve McQueen gave him that idea of a name
Chatles Bronson é o meu numero,ADOOROOO !!
@cfetterhoff // thanks for watching Gail ! Bronson is my fav also, i ve allways liked him better then Clint Eastwood or Chuck Norris (dont get me wrong) i like Eastwood and Norris also ,but Bronson is #1 fav for me !!!

He carved himself that star with bullets.
GOWDAM!! HOLLYWOOD LOOKS CLEAN!!!!!!!!
the real deal. R.I.P.
Way to go dad!
Back when you had to be a REAL Movie Star to receive one...Nowadays they give them to anybody
His wife was so beautiful. I wonder, does anybody know if she used to attend the premieres of his movies? Cause most were violent guy movies.
Great share!

I would have paid top dollar to see him perform Macbeth, or Hamlet.
He took his stage name from Bronson Ave., a street that intersects with Hollywood Blvd. further down past Vine St. - I'm surprised they didn't put his star there. Seems like it would be appropriate, but perhaps he didn't want that.
DAMN STRAIGHT! Only Robert Mitchum could probably match him punch for punch.
Lee Marvin too!
oh, wow. if thats true, it would be SOOO great!
sorry ,the music was on the clip when i taped it off tv back in 1980,i have no control over the background music..
I doubt you'll ever have to worry about the placement of your star. Me on the other hand...
@Mirrorbeholding I think he would have mad e a great Dracula, with those Slavic looks. Seemed like a very nice humble guy though. Great films : )
Not sure he had premieres for his films ,his later films were from low budget CANNON films,im guessing that Cannon couldnt afford premieres...
EP
YEP..JE
He may have had an awesome presence but man did his movies suck by the 80s Eastwood was the better one because he found himself as an artist Bronson never did
Why the music? It's very irritating. We want to hear Charles.
I noticed all the cigarette butts on the sidewalk by other stars.

хочу чтобы под такую музыку мне всё в жизни объясняли или спрашивали. например в магазине, пакет нужен? и фоном заиграл сакс
Ultimate worrior
...then he shot it
5*****
Poor Charlie
HA-HA-HA Was that commercial just so awful???
You just know that cologne smelled like shit :)
I think Clint Eastwood is better than Charles Bronson, but I prefer Bronson...
olha a musiquinha de fundo.....bem nada a ver mesmo
