Your Mum is a diamond making these videos...and I would imagine an amazing cook too! I love this recipe - so easy and tasty!
I just tried this recipe, made "mug" (high5 gujju fam) for the first time and hands down it is the best moong curry I've ever had. Only difference, I soaked them for about an hour before cooking and added a veg stock cube to the pot with the beans. Thanks for the video mate!
Thanks for this, I've just made it and it was yummy! You two should do some more cooking videos. It was really easy to follow.
Thanks Doug!
Thank you very much for this simple and tasty recipe , made it and the whole family loves it , it is one of our regular meals now.
Thanks for the recipe. Great video!
My pleasure 😊
Super, delicious and healthy food my friend!!!
Man this Indian dude speaks way better English that the old English blokes !!!! Great recipe MUM !!!!!!!!
Hi. I have tried it today. Yum. But i did soaked the beans a night before to reduce the cooking time. Thankyou.
I made this tonight. It was delicious!
Thanks for sharing this.
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏽
This was so yummy! I did serve it over rice and later, even used it over a cooked diced tofu and it came out wonderful, just the same. Thank you so much to your Mum for sharing her wisdom and skill; and thank you to 'you' for creating and posting this lovely recipe. :)
Ooo that sounds lovely!! Ah thank you so much! I’ll pass your kind words on to my mum. We have plans to make more videos like these post lockdown 😊
nice video, had some of these beans laying around and had no idea what to make with them, will try this out soon
Thank you💐
I just cooked it for first time; GREAT!
Delicious thanks
It’s the first time that I’ve prepared mug bean curry and taste sooo delicious! Good Recipe! Greetings from Perú.
A very delicious and a nutritious dish.
Thanks so much for the recipe. I had never cooked mung beans before and this was really lovely. I added in the juice of a lime and a bit of oat cream, however I am pretty certain it is simple and tasty enough without it :)
Garnish with cilantro and bits of chopped ginger.
The ginger goes will with moong dhal.
We tried this and our whole family loved it
That's great to hear! 👍🏽
Good stuff
thanks for the detailed recipe video, already used 3-4 times, and will keep using it... the only thing I do differently is instead of boiling the beans for 30-35mins, put it in pressure cooker for 10-15mins...
Nikhil Raval yeah that's what my mum does :)
Love this !
just made it turned out great, cheers!
I am very new to mung beans and I was looking for something easy to make and this taste delicious. Thanks.
Good
I followed your recipe without pre-soaking the mung beans and found it was delicious.
Awesome! 👍🏽
Daal and rice 👌🏽
This is just a delicious recipe. So quick and easy and soooo tasty!
Will try. Thanks!
I love your kitchen!
I love this! ❤️
Very nice. I cooked up some mung beans because I'd had them in a jar for too long and to my amazement, they softened and seem perfectly palatable. I like your recipe and that's what I'll be doing later. Can you tell me where I can pick up a spice tin like yours with the individual receptacles. Many thanks
Thank you, I just bought some mung beans today and had no idea how to cook them.
Thank you for the recipe! Me and my friend will be trying this out tonight 💚
Good job...will try this cooking this meal.
Thanks, enjoy. Let me know what you think when you get round to making it 😊
I love eating Mung beans with Chapati.
Delicious! I'm going to cook my today. Thank you! I love Indian food and the people!!❤ Beautiful People!!!❤
You're welcome, how did it go?
I cooked yesterday with your recipe! My food was delicious! Thank you very much! I'm from El Salvador! I never cooked Indian food in my life, but I did it this time! Thanks to your video!!! ❤❤❤thank you, thank you❤❤
Fantastic, glad you enjoyed it. 😊👍🏽
You didnt soak the beans first. That can cause stomach distress. If you soak them overnight it is often recomended to soak them overnight with three times the water and with one tsp of baking soda. This will make your amazing curry recipee even more wonderful. Then rinse the beans and follow your yummy recipee. Mung beans are over the top nutritious and anti-inflammatory.
I am making for a larger group of people. Will try doubling the quantity of all ingredient. Thanks for posting your recipe!
Bruce Faithwick hey, yeah doubling will work a treat! Let me know how it goes, good luck 👍🏽
@@Bav11 , made your recipe with 925 grams of Mung Beans for a group dinner. All other ingredients 5X except used four Chillies. Cooked with 10 pints water, so poured off four pints of excess water after cooking. Amazingly good spicy Mung Bean Curry for 10 people as part of a "pot-luck"!
Just made this. So yummy. I actually made a real curry. Thanks heaps
Made it tonight and it awesome! Thank you! I sprouted them over night, also I like chopped ginger!! lol
Thanks to you and Mom :)
You're welcome 😊
Such a cute video and such a good recipe!
This looks delicious! I love the pan your mum is cooking the beans in. Where can I get one? Please more cooking videos x
I'll ask her for you :) have been chatting to her about new cooking videos. I'll be posting a video soon asking for suggestions 😊
More cooking videos with mom please?
Coming up later this year😆
You should have sprouted the moong bean, makes it more nutritious
Thanks you 2
Now I know how I'm going to cook my mung beans
Where is the link to that copper?
I wonder if the mung beans don't bloat you up. I'll just add some hing to be sure.
I've not had this problem before. Let me know how it goes adding the hing 👍🏽
I need that pan! Anyone know what it is, I can't seem to google it?
Which one? I’ll ask my mum for you 👍🏽
you forgot to soak the beans !
Yeah, sorry that's my fault. My mum wanted to but I never bother as it's a step too far for me lol I think I should have added that! Saying that not soaking them his been fine for me :)
@@Bav11 how long do you soak them for ?
So you don’t have to soak the Mungs overnight then? And where can I get that tin with all the little tins inside of her spices? Thank you great video!
You can soak but you don't need to I always cook it without soaking , the tin is sold in many Asian shops, I have even seen it in tkmax 👍
What did you put with the mung bean, it doesn't look like it's only mung bean in the pot?
You mean when boiling? It was just water at that point :)
@@Bav11 Ok thanks.
I just inherited some mung beans. I'm thinking of doing them in my pressure cooker. Think I can cook the rice with them? The rice needs at least 20 minutes. This recipe looks great, and my pressure cooker can sauté so I can make the tomato mixture in it too.
I should have mentioned that I use brown rice. That's why it takes longer.
I'm new to mung beans. Just found this video while searching what to do with them. Do you not have to soak them first?
You can do it, then they will soften faster. Generally its better to soak lentils first, even for 30 min.
Lentils or Mung beans
Don't forget to wash them first!
Tell her well donde
video is shaky
when you have all the ingredients
