    I watch all of your videos not just for recipes to make dishes.. But I'm left with more than the recipe.. The tips and knowledge of spices and skill. Each video is beyond just a recipe. Only a skilled person can make a simple dish extraordinary with minimum ingredients. That's what I'm thinking that i learn from here.. Thank you 🙏

    I bought mung beans because they're interesting size, shape, color... I had no idea how to prepare them or what they taste like, but this recipe seems fabulous. Will pick up some fenugreek soon to give it a try, but I can tell by all the other ingredients I will love it! Thank you for sharing your recipe

    Это бобы мунг, или по-английски mung beans. У индусов эти бобы называются dal. В узбекской кухне эти бобы являются основой как супа машхурда, так и второго блюда машкичири. Маш добавляется в эти блюда в пропорции с рисом и разными овощами.

    I have made this soup five weeks in a row. My friends are asking for it now. I am spreading the word Happy Bellyfish!!! You are both so much fun to watch. I cooked the mung beans and yellow lentils in it today. After it was cooked, I added strips of curly kale for crunch. I will make the Anastasia's Borscht next. I am so happy to have found you and invite othes to discover you as well.

    The best moong bean soup I’ve tried. I couldn’t find the dried fenugreek so substituted with dried seeds.

    • @HappyBellyfish
      @HappyBellyfish  5 місяців тому +1

      So glad that you liked it. Just want to add that the seeds and the leaves cannot be interchanged, they play very different roles in adding flavor, aroma and taste. If dried fenugreek leaves are unavailable , you can add other fresh herbs like cilantro or parsely. It also works without the garnish with herbs.

      Soak them overnight, then bring to a boil and put them in the oven on 350f with about a teaspoon of baking soda for 40-60mins. Usually ready in about 40 minutes. They come out tender and stay tender
