C&O 2765 (NKP 765) Visits West MI Summer 1993

In August 1993 The Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society dressed their Nickel Plate 2-8-4 Berkshire #765 up as Chesapeake and Ohio #2765 and ran a steam excusion from Plymouth MI to Holland MI. The train traversed the ex-Pere Marquette now CSX Plymouth and Grand Rapids subdivisions. Here is the video I shot that day.

Two months later it would do the 1993 New River passenger excursion with the same number and lettering. This was also a month before her 1994 New River Substitute, Milwaukee Road 261 Would be restored to operating condition

It's almost like she was filling in for PM 1225, still under repairs at the time. But I don't think 1225 ever operated in Plymouth or Holland.

@@JCBro-yg8vd Actually in Oct. of 1990 1225 was in Plymouth for a series of test runs for CSX and the following year in August of 1991 1225 was in Plymouth as part of her ferry move for that years NRHS convention

Well this locomotive is still in operation as NKP 765 in OH. It was repainted as CO 2765 for this excursion only.
