  • So yea it’s been a long while again since the last time I did a video on here but just to let y’all know I’m still alive, just been busy is all. College had been mostly taking up my time now with UA-cam videos now but rest assured, here’s something a bit different I haven’t done in a few years.
Back in 2017 when I first started out on UA-cam I made a video about Mainline Motion Pictures footage of their DVD of the 1991 NRHS Convention, featuring the Berkshire class 2-8-4’s Nickel Plate Road 765 and Pere Marquette 1225. Although those two videos I did of that footage…well let’s just say they left a lot to be desired. So, here’s a remastered video I made of the footage all in one! Hope y’all enjoy the video and hope it won’t be another long while before I do another video again. 😅
All in the footage in this video belongs to Mainline Motion Pictures

It’s so incredible to see the two locomotives operating in perfect sync side by side.

It’s very interesting to know that 1225’s whistle was originally controlled by an air valve. Later the Steam Railroading Institute would convert it to a conventional rope valve, which is what she has to this day

      Wasn't the whistle also cracked?

@@ThunderboltSirenStudios that is a good question I’m not sure someone else might know

@@TexasRailfan21-RailfanRyan I think it was because it sounded horrible in the 80's, and was later fixed and sounded better in 2009.

@@ThunderboltSirenStudios I see I think it’s because they rebuilt it and re-tuned it

They should reunite 1225 and 765 since they have history together. That would be a spectacle 😍

It would be cool if they did it again! I don’t think they’ve done that since TrainFest 2014

I came back to this video because I like how the 765 and Pere Marquette 1225 are side by side. Who would agree if I said 765 and 1225 are HALF sisters?
