In terms of quality of educational content and facilitation of the learning process professor zack is UNMATCHED on youtube. would love to see you at aapa
There are so many good things about these videos. The content is super helpful and well organized and I have learned so much, but I have to admit that my favorite part is the random 'turns of phrase' that Zack will say. Absolute nuggets of gold hidden throughout the videos - 'You have 32 teeth, but 30 of them are in your pocket'.
The best teachers are the ones who convert their students into sponges that absorb all the teacher’s pearls of wisdom! Thank You all responsible for this site!
Your lectures are really helping especially because i grew up unable to study using videos but with you, I’ve developed a new strategy of studying using your lectures and what you guys teach is all I need for my exams
What I just friggin enjoy is that you explain the pathophys in detail. You don't just present: yeah, we have splinter hemorrhage, Janeway lesions and Osler nodules. You tell me why - my brain and I love that so much. Thank you!!
you explain it so well! Even though the video is long, I understand all the whys. Time is well spent watching your lecture than me staring at my book for 2 hrs. Thank you very much.
My cousin has large vegetation in mv. I'm surfing for the information and I found you. My cousin has exactly the same symptoms as you said now I understand it from you. But in the real situation it's not easy to evaluate the problem because the symptoms are generally occurred in many organs of body. We/doctors spent 3-4 months to find out, echo 4 times in 3 hospitals, MRI 2 times (brain and heart) and finally TEE and one of the doctor team asked about the dental decay and bingo all symptoms can relate with it. Thanks for the great knowledge it surly inspire many people around the world to be a great doctor because of your channel.
It is absolutely insane how much better you are at disseminating information than my lecturers who are consultants in their fields. Thank you for getting me through med school
I'm over addicted to watching your UA-cam medic videos I have been benefiting from your videos Zach The degree I will get and my future career you really made big difference in my medical school life Thank you isn't the right equivalent to your academic support I wish you long life and continue helping the world 🌍
I really admire the hardwork and reserch done to to explain these concepts in simple language, that even a non medico person like me can easlity understand
I had searched infective endocarditis before but you hadn't done it. I passed my Pathology examination anyway 😊. I'm glad you've uploaded it. Thank you.
The way I just love this guy 🤩🙏🏽. Thank you for your passion and hardwork. Your calling was not to just be a good doctor but also to make the journey of many future doctors easier. Thank you!
I understand my issue so much better now. My mitral valve has been replaced so there's an even greater chance of going through this AGAIN. That really stinks lol.
I'm 34. @ 32 healthy combat veteran. I had MRSA endocarditis. For 3 straight weeks I felt unbelievably sick. Migraine shit and puked @ Same time. Woke up 1 day and couldn't move (1st stroke) family brought me to hospital where they ran blood tests and started iv antibiotics. During the iv I felt loopy and my face got droopy. They brought me for catscan and mri confirmed I was having a second ischemic stroke. Went in for emergency thrombectomy. After that had ekg and echo which confirmed the leaflet on my mitral valve. About 3 weeks later I had open heart surgery replacing my mitral valve with a bovine @ yale new haven hospital. I'm 34 now still have left side deficits. Endocarditis is no joke!
Thank you for this insightful lecture. Your presentation was both informative and engaging, and it provided valuable knowledge on the subject. I appreciate the effort you put into making complex topics accessible and interesting. This lecture has greatly contributed to my understanding, and I look forward to applying what I've learned. Thank you once again for sharing your expertise💯❤
Mannn, I can't be more thankful, a great content, a great way of explanation, and surely a great person doing all of that. You're slaying it, keep going. ❤️❤️
Thank you for your comprehensive lecture. Just to add a point that for typical organisms blood cultures ideally should be 3 , from separate venipunctures and spaced over 30 to 60 minutes and if 2 out of 3 is positive it is considered a major criteria. However for atypical organisms we should look for persistently positive blood cultures which means either 2 positive blood cultures drawn at least 12 hours apart or 3 positive blood culture in which the first and last samples were collected at least one hour apart. Thanks again for your great video.
Really a behemoth of information but it's worth it. I don't like long videos about anything but I'd definitely watch a 10 hour ninja nerd video no problemo
Sooo I'm a dentist and not all dental procedures will require antibiotic prophylaxis in high-risk patients. Most, but not all. Like totally edentulous patients getting dentures are typically fine without it. And generally, if you aren't sure, we think it's better to err on the side of doing it rather than not doing it and running the risk of an infection. Even then, there's been some debate in our field on if we are even preventing anything (for example, flossing your own teeth may push bacteria into the sulci of the teeth, which ultimately drain into the inferior vena cava.) We do it anyways because the benefit outweighs any risk the antibiotics could cause. Just sharing some fun facts. Presentation is absolutely amazing. You should seriously consider teaching. Your UA-cam resume speaks for itself!
I follow your videos from Afghanistan. I really enjoy the videos you make and I am very excited for the videos you make. Good luck and may God guide you
I have been in the nursing field for more than 30 years. Your lectures are more informative than any textbook or physician. You have missed your calling and should be teaching physicians. You should be an MD/PHD with just your knowledge alone. I learn more from you than I have anywhere else in my career.
You are really great, I salute you for your energy and dedication, bravo what a wonderful lecture , it was lengthy but with your smile any way of delivering the lecture I never feel bore, god bless you dear
