*This was my first **Bestt.Digital** projector and I’ve always wanted one, glad this is the one i chose. I was scared about how the quality would look, but its pretty clear*
As always, love your thorough review. My video was completely pulled due to copyright material used when showing the image quality. Time for me to purchase some stock footage to use in my projector reviews.
I bought it today, and I watched a movie on my bedroom wall (white latex paint) at around 180" size. Even with the Projector speakers I felt like I am in a movie theatre. Best Projector.
@@Luke-qs2cg I am currently using it in my basement at 140-150” balanced image quality. The brightness I kept is 65. Great picture quality. If you want I can upload a video for you.
Just got this today along with a silver ticket 120inch fixed frame screen. Looking forward to setting it all up coming from a 55 inch tv so major upgrade and I’ll use this first basic setup until I can afford a true 4k ultra short throw projector couldn’t pass up the deal of 1299 again so I pulled the trigger on it
I am looking to eventually phase out TVs because of their physical size, space requirement and ,fragility to going for a more portable and compact UST projectors set up. So far why I haven’t done the complete switch over yet: - 4K UST projectors are still just a tad pricier than equivalent 4K TVs - There are also decent mini portable UST projectors that I can use when traveling - I occasionally FIFO work. I will go all UST projectors but it may take me a couple of years. Very helpful review though.
At 80% light output. The fan will quiet after a few moments. To near silence. 85-100% not bad if a sporting event and you have a group of people talking and having a good time... 85-90 isn't horrible. But 80 is definitely the sweet spot and plenty bright.
@@ThaVillaMan how would you say the dark scene detail is retained? I've got the Optoma GT 5600 currently on an Elite Screens .6 gain and I just feel like the dark scenes are too dim. Is that because of the color brightness or is this just common in the UST CLR projector world? Been thinking about slightly downgrading in size to an 85 inch TV, but I wanted an opinion.
I have read that ALR screens work really well with UST projectors...I'm considering this type of setup for a home theater room I'm doing but would want 120 inch screen, not 100 which is what they say is the optimal size.
Does this projector have a fully focused screen from top to bottom and corner to corner? cos lamp projectors (even expensive projectors) always will have only one part of the screen focus and the rest is horrible
Have you also reviewed the Epson Home Cinema 4010? I have the option to choose between that and the LS300 and have no idea what to choose. Best picture quality for sports is my biggest desire followed by movies. I will not be using either option for gaming. Any advice would be much appreciated!
After installing an update today projector does throw any image. Projector starts with loud fan noise after couple minutes fan turns off and projector stays on but no image.
This is almost the ideal projector for me apart from the fan noise. 1080p is more than enough for me due to using a switch and a low powered pc for sources. Just wondering how it compares to the cheaper 1080p xaiomi UST, biggest concerns are the speakers and fan noise as I dont want a seperate audio system though throw ratio would also be interesting due to it being able to make a smaller stand for it (hoping eventually incorporate a rising ALR screen built into it so it would have minimal impact on the room when not in use)
Holla Tha_VillaMan - Just started following you - If you were on a budget.. like me - would you buy the LS300? I'm on the fence between this UST and a TV - I want the bigger screen and don't really care about 4K
@@Heliosvector I don't understand how that is possible. Are you not simply comparing different productions? Perhaps 4K content is better, but if you downsampled it to Full-HD you wouldn't see a difference? Noticing the upgrade from 4K to 8K sounds even more impossible. 🤔 It could also be that 4K screens and projectors are better quality I'm thinking, and that it's easy to attribute thise qualities to the resolution?
Great reivew- but an exceedingly dissapointing product from Espon. Clearly a cost cutting projector with terrible performance. Terrible motion. Noisy fan. Junk geared towards youth.

Appreciate including the fan noise section with various brightness levels. Thanks!

How about the fan noise? Does it bother?
@@Rlima0 Fan noise depends on the brightness. For me fan noise is not a problem at full brightness.
Bought one recently, quite a fair review.
Till 75% brightness the fan noise is acceptable for me.
Above 75... it’s annoy.
add db number would be good.
Good review - the fan noise is the killer for me -- it is louder than my old Panasonic PT-AX100U that I am looking to upgrade.
Cheers
About time I get a real projector review where have you been?

Is this... a budget projector? I thought it was the very best.😢
Oh wow that fan tho. And I thought my reference blower vega 64 was load.

Nice proyector , and the color details outstanding , thanks for the intel Villa man keep up the good work
Thank you, sir!

Nice review!! The fan is indeed loud!! I wonder if there is a way to install an external cooler to improve this
I think 1080p doesnt cut it in 2021(unless talking about those seriously budget projectors), also holy shit fan noise is crazy above 70 brightness :O
paired with UST ALR projector screen, 80 percent brightness level is plenty enough even during the day.
I have read that ALR screens work really well with UST projectors...I'm considering this type of setup for a home theater room I'm doing but would want 120 inch screen, not 100 which is what they say is the optimal size.
so still need to replace the lens even with laser?

Love the idea of a projector, but can't give up my OLED for one. :-)
big projector for movies, OLED for the smaller room LOL
¿Por que no los dos?
Love the reality of my projector, sold my OLED.
@@ThaVillaMan Por que no? I want both. My future setup will be a 65 inch LG OLED with possibly the LS300 or the LS500.
@@GokuInstinct1 I have that LG and waiting on the epson projector….both in the same room!
Love your videos. I have a JVC 4K pj onto a 150” 2.35 screen. However, sounds really great as an option versus a smaller tv. Thx.
Bro let the beat ride in the intro slaps

Do you know a good replacement remote for this projector? I lost mine!
What's the input lag? What's the distance lens-wall for 120" image?
Nice video! great projector too on my short list
What are the measurements and settings for a 120 inch screen im new to ust
Planning to do the LS500?
Really curious to know how this compares to the VAVA 4K for about $700 more?
Can this be voice controlled with the remote or hands-free?
That projector sounds like my Dyson Animal vacuum!!!
Good vid man
Thanks for posting this. I was going to purchase but will pass as that fan noise is loud.
Does it have split screen function like other epsons
Can this be placed closer for a smaller screen ,such as an 80" or is it 100" minimum due to focus ?
I have one and i’ve placed it closer than 100 before with no problems. Not sure what the minimum would be but i would think 80” wouldn’t be an issue
The smallest screen size is 61 inches.
OMG that fan is loud! Wow!
Yea, just don’t go above 80 brightness
@@ThaVillaMan If use 50 or 55 brightness it is silent , It seems to me. Is it right ?
@@francoisrais9362 yes at that level it’s whisper quiet. Even at 70
It’s fine
Whoa that fan sounds louder than my roomba lol
Hey does this have a motion detection that shuts when a toddler gets close?
Yes it does
I’ll watch this later when it finished rendering in 4K uhd.
It should be all set
Is HDR content if ur cell doesn't support it u won't be able to see it,✌️
How tall is the stand that the Epson ls300 sitting on?
About 20” ua-cam.com/video/5rYSrMpRQxU/v-deo.html
Lol was interested till I heard how loud it is, was always my biggest gripe with projectors except my sony lcos that was quiet
Optoma p2 or Samsung lpst7?

At this price it doesn’t make sense if 4K doesn’t matter to you, there are far better projectors for price

does it have Bluetooth?

Input lag numbers?
Didn’t have the means to test that unfortunately

I’d skip a smart system on a projector any day for a better picture though

That fan way to loud dam
