Jim Redgate is a highly sought-after Australian luthier, known for his guitars built for artists such as Ana Vidovic, Pepe Roméro and Odair Assad. This lattice-braced model is an exact copy of the guitar that Ana Vidovic plays. Jim Redgate’s instruments have their own sound and touch. The breath-taking volume combined with rich harmonics and impressive clarity of sound are quite unique. The playability is fantastic, and the guitars are relatively light in weight compared to the Australian standard.
We’ve of course heard Ana Vidovic in concert many times playing on a Redgate guitar, but this guitar convinced us even more of the quality of Jim’s work. The honesty and spontaneity of each note, the magnificent volume, the ease of playing, and the unique sound character of this guitar make it an instrument not only rare in Europe, but above all extremely enchanting.

Long known as the Beethoven of the classical guitar, Sor's music is to be aspired to. Here, Ms Vidovic not only aspires, but executes flawlessy. This is her hallmark. flawless interpretation. She is by far the greatest around today.

I was watching DanDanDan when this came out and as a guitarist I recognised jajaja I was like: OMG GUITAR PIECES IN ANIME!!! and I enjoyed more the episode jajaja

EVERYTHING about that is impressive. Wonderful, astonishing, mind-blowing. This is a pretty good example of natural talent, impeccable training and sheer determination.

I learned this in high-school and i heard it again in dan da dan and it brought back so many memories , time to get my guitar and practice
I don't know if there's such a thing as "the definitive performance" of this work but this seems to be about as close as we're likely to get. In the last 10 years,Ana Vidovic has become one of the greatest guitarists to ever live...her guitar sings!

Take a minute to think from this fab interpretation, what sor would have been like. It's my 2nd year of playing and have decided to give the full year to sor's studies and exercises opus. So much to offer, so much to learn, no matter what level you are. Thanks Ana and Siccas, for the video.

There is a lot of people who can play a guitar, make some noices with it, but give it life, put all emotions on the instrument, make it real music is a really big challenge, and i have no doubt that she does that like nobody else. I almost cry.
I've never understood the introduction to this piece. So much lamentation, prefacing such a playful study.
It is incredible how Sor captured the classical keyboard style on the guitar. You can feel the balance of Mozart and the dramatic spirit of Beethoven.

Eine wirklich großartige Musikerin, wie man sie mit der Guitarre nur sehr selten antrifft. Da muss man schon an die alten Meister wie Segovia, Bream und einige wenige Andere zurückdenken.
It reminds of the most important thing in life: that beauty requires intelligence and great training and perseverance, Sor is complemented by her.
I heard her play when she came to Calgary several years ago. A fantastic performer with a great future. I wish there were venues for classical guitar concerts.

When a musician reaches a certain level of mastery of their instrument, they start to sound alike. So far, Ana Vidovic still has the best sound. Listen to a few other guitar players and then listen to Ana again. Then decide for yourself, which one impresses you the most. I'd say that Ana stands head and shoulders above the rest.

There need be nothing superficial about integrating visual harmony & beauty with our experience of music, playing or listening. It is a true added dimension.

This is generally a show piece..spectacular. Not so with Ana here. It's all about artistic approach. She certainly has the chops to deal with this however she'd like. If she chose to tear the house down, that's what we'd get. She's a great artist.

It would be wonderful it those who are questioning this excellent performance, were required to attach a video of them performing the same piece the way their believe it should be played. If "they cannot play it better", they have no right to criticize. When a composer composes piece, they understand that almost every true artist, will interpret the piece. I never stop learning so when I hear a performance, I listen to a new interpretation with an open mind. I hope to learn something.
+Bryant Poole bullshit criticism does not require any video attached everyone is entitled to their own opinion, people like you that claim that noone should question this performance are actually the ones that hold back music progression.
Criticism is not limited to those who can play the piece. Accepting criticism from someone who hasn't played the song is as open minded as listening to "a new interpretation with an open mind"
