I always look forward to you videos. You have taught me a lot about myself. You have a way of encouraging others to take inventory on the strengths and to correct and/or improve the shortcomings without belittling anyone. Keep being you. Thank you for the reminders and advice!
This is great advice, it got me thinking and there's 2 things I'd like to add. One, and this applies mostly to #9, the more you do these things the more comfortable you will get with them and the easier they will become. Think of it like exposure therapy. Then secondly, don't get too upset about anxiety or shyness. Evolution hardwired those traits into us in order to keep our ancestors safe. If anything anxiety is the norm and its modern society that is the aberration.
#9 is so valuable, striking up conversations with strangers not only boosts your confidence, but they almost always have something interesting you never would have expected
Hi Brian, I'm a long time subscriber. I regularly re-watch your older content and my girlfriend loves your outfits as well. That being said as soon as I saw this video pop up I knew it would contain an advert for Tiege Hanley. Advertising is fine and skincare is relevant to your audience but the amount of adverts done recently for this seems excessive especially to someone like me who tries to watch and support all of your videos. As I say I knew as soon as I saw the title this would be a Tiege advert, that feels a bit stale, predictable and impersonal unfortunately. Some of these videos have (to me at least) felt like they were just an excuse to shoehorn in an advert which is a shame (maybe that's not your attention but this is my honest feedback based on my opinion). That being said I appreciate you wanting to branch out from plain outfit videos and that Valstarino in this video is gorgeous. Great choice to pair it with a cream tee rather than a stark white! I hope you take this in the constructive spirit it's intended :)
Hey, Stuart! Thank you so much for the feedback and for your continued support. So, full transparency, we have a long term partnership with Tiege, which includes creating one video for them each month. Generally, when we are operating at normal capacity -- 5-8 videos per month -- I feel that's a good cadence. I'm not going to lie that it's been really tough to keep up with the channel recently. As you know, I'm an active duty Soldier and am currently gearing up for a 33-day trip to Scotland. It's all I can do to keep up with ANYTHING these days! So, it's difficult to balance our sponsorship commitments with making cool videos to make cool videos. So when push comes to shove, we have to focus on the paid commitments as they are contractual obligations. The good news, is that both Rob and I plan to retire from the Army very soon and make HSS our full-time gig. So hang in there and you'll start to like the rhythm a little better.
@@hespokestyle Good to hear you're taking the plunge with HSS. I echo the comments about rewatching older content you've posted. I look forward to what comes next!
@@hespokestyle thank you for your reply Brian. I can certainly appreciate the juggling act that you have to go through and though I'm a Brit, I thank you for your service (enjoy Scotland, it's incredible). I'm excited to see what the future holds for HSS!
Repost from an older video because I wasn't sure if you still get notifications for the old one. OC: "Great video! I'd like to know what kind of career path you both had and still have ahead of you :) What did you study, any student jobs or similar and what are you doing now? Also @Brian, what is the balance between youtube and I assume your day to day job? :) Really curious! Also what advice would you give people about being self employed, could you give some insights to your learnings from your self employment? Have a great day and stay healthy!"
Thanks for your feedback. Why do you consider the introduction to be long? It's only two minutes and is there to contextualize the topic and dispel a common myth. I think that is quite an important place to start here and a launching pad for the rest of the video.
@@hespokestyle Brian, I enjoy your channel. I really do. But I don’t think Mr. or Mrs. Cronin meant any harm here. After all, the primary message was complimentary. Publicly going into defense mode so hastily will undermine your message in no time. Please keep making videos. I enjoy your approach to style, and you set a good example. But I hope you will approach some harmless criticism from your viewers with more grace in the future.
@@nicholasjones3554 Thanks for your comment and your point is taken. However, there was quite a bit of passive aggression in the comment you're highlighting. You likely know that I try to respond to as many people as I can and I will stand up for myself and my work in the face of unproductive comments.
@@hespokestyle Noted. I stand by my assessment. Your revised response is perfectly reasonable, and I hope you take the more patient approach on the first go-around next time. Kind regards.
I mean, that's totally your choice though you're missing a lot of good stuff. I also always provide chapters for you to easily skip over whatever you don't want to watch. Also, why do you say not to promote Tiege Hanley? I've had great results from using their stuff over the last year and a half.
I very rarely support any kind of adverts but this is the one product that I could stand behind. It's simple and it works. I might not like the face behind the brand but as far as the product goes, it's good and I wish I could buy it regulary.
Respectfully disagree. Competence must precede confidence otherwise what is the basis for being confident? This is a feel good myth. Many bumbling idiots have misplaced self confidence. Their performance is sub par. People care about results, not how you felt when you produced those results. Yes, clothes help, but they don't make any man other than a tailor if he gets paid.
Great video Brian, as usual, quality content and very honest. Please look after yourself. You've lost a little weight and seem a little less yourself (though I obviously don't know you personally). Anyway bro, keep up the good work. We'll all continue to enjoy the content.

Thanks!
When Alpha M promotes Tiege Hanley I assume it must be total garbage. When Brian recommends it, it sounds like something seriously worth considering!
This is a great video.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
