I fully agree whenever I get to anxious about something I like to meditate and only be totally present while focusing on where I am and the sounds around me. It usually calms me down almost instantly. If anyone has never given it a try I highly recommend it

TL;DW 1. You care too much about what other people think 2. Negative thinking: creates self-fulfilling prophecy 3. Social Media Living aka comparing yourself to others portrayed “realities” 4. Self-deprecating thoughts: 5. Blame Game: finding excuses for your situation instead of being proactive about it. Taking ownership 6. Setting the bar low for yourself: 7. Thinking you don’t have anything to say or contribute to the conversation 8. Dismissing compliments 9. Ruminating: focusing on poor decisions or the problem Edit: thank you for pointing out that I missed the last one! I hope everyone has a great day!
Thank you for this video, I have a volleyball tournament this Saturday and normally I play on my school’s B team but for the tournament I will be playing on A team. I wasn’t feeling very confident in my skills but this video helped me confront my negative thinking and self-doubt. Thank you, and to whoever is reading this, ily ❤
I’ve always had confidence but I’ve also felt extremely tired my entire life. Confidence doesn’t get you anywhere if you don’t have the energy to act on anything.
Good always set your goals low and bar low because that’s who you are a low self pitying self you have it correct low set your goals and bar low so you’ll akways be low
Videos of this channel do help me overcome my bad moods, negative thoughts and lack of energy to take control over my mind. I often struggle with lack of confidence, overthinking and anxiety, so when I hear this comforting voice which says me that everything is changeable and can be improved it really warms me up. Thank you a lot💛 You saved me💫💕
I literally relate to all of these points, not lying. This just shows me how and why my confidence is so low at this point. I'll try to better myself for sure.

i feel especially called out, this vid described me so perfectly. and honestly letting go of these traits is so hard I've been trying but it's really challenging. I hope i can overcome these challenges though, to become a better version of me
This video described me so well These days, i really lose my confidence sooo much... i think too much about what others might say or think about me.. which actually things i couldn't control T^T I hope i could shine again with my own unique personality.. To those who is struggling like me, fighting, you're not alone & you're worthy.. ♡
i’ve always been told that i seem super confident, and this always surprises me because i always thought i came off as very insecure and unconfident (which is how i feel). so think about this: sometimes, even if you think that you’re not confident and no one looks up to you, remember that someone, or many people, probably think you come off as a confident person. even if this isn’t the case, you’re still perfect just like you are ❤️

The most important thing I got out of this video is that the phase I'm going through doesn't necessarily mean that I'm weak because even strong people can face a challenge when having these type of thoughts.
I used to suffer all these things. I’ve eliminated a few from my life, still working on some, and a few still control me. I won’t stop until I’ve conquered them all!
I was having a terrible day and I was told by my family to work more on my self confidence and try to find videos on UA-cam. This is what came up and it spoke to me perfectly. I do almost all of these things and I chalked it up to just basic anxiety. Thank you for this video it was very helpful
Just finished watching the video and I can relate to quite a few points sadly 😅 I’m gonna try and take it on board but I have bad memory and have school so .,.
i personally find it helped a lot when I told myself that I was decent instead of not good enough I slowly had a more neutral mindset and then when I focused on positive aspects, being optimistic was easier and it felt natural instead of going from 0 to 100 lol
Honestly, each and every point mentioned in the video is relatable. From now on I'll work on myself to build confidence. Thank you for making wonderful videos on such topics
This video is just came in my recommendation just in SUCH PERFECT moment where my self-esteem is at my lowest point. Thank you so much for sharing this video! I've never realized I did all of them that ruined my confidence.
I don't tend to blame other as much as I tend to blame myself - I think I have 20/20 hindsight. Also, I tend to be quiet in conversations because 1 - I don't have much to say, 2 - nobody is listening, and 3 - whenever I try to get a few words out, someone cuts me off. Accepting compliments is something I never learned to do, though criticism usually leaves me devastated.
1) 0:43 You care too much about what other people think 2) 1:18 Negative thinking 3) 2:04 Social media living 4) 2:40 Self deprecating talk 5) 3: 10 Blame game is you fav sport 6) 3:46 You set the bar low for yourself 7) 4:15 Thinking that you don't have anything to say or to contribute to a discussion 8) 4:53 You dismiss complements 9) 5:26 Ruminating
I had all 9, and gradually realized to let go of my overly high expectations of myself. Confidence is seeing yourself correctly, not being conceited or having low self-esteem.
number 6 hit me hard. i am a perfectionist so i used to get really good grades at school but it was really tiring and stressful for me to the point i started to watch videos to get rid of perfectionism. then i get this idea that i shouldn’t be hard on myself, so i set my goals low and even non existent sometimes. “If you expect disappointment you’ll never get disappointed” philosophy. But then my success started to drop down and now i feel useless and stupid sometimes. I don’t know how to get rid of perfectionism and at the same time setting high goals and having strong confidence..
I 've always had negative-thinking but every time I said to myself '' I can't do this'' ''what if I fail I'm not good enough for this'' I'II always try to make myself happy with watching cat videos and that helps so much
On number 9 about ruminating, I had a tough story where aI had a panic attack cause my dad told me that my opportunity on communicating with random female peers is right there! I dressed pretty well during my back-to school shopping, but it sucks that I missed the opportunity and replayed the negative things and saying "I've should've done this, she's not worth my time", "I'm a loser! Wahhh!" etc. It only took me anout a few minutes to understand that it's not a big deal and I should be proud of my missed opportunity because it's never too late to miss your opportunity! And this video helped me a lot on understanding that that the most confident people we know today xan be put down easily. And now I understand that I'm a human being and I'm still growing up and I got a long life ahead of me! So please ya'll if u feel the same way, don't end up to a trap that I set up.
I have found that recognizing the things you are not good at and being OK with that makes a huge difference. Because that does 2 things: accepting yourself for what you are not good at (rather than beating yourself up for not being good at everything), and recognizing the things you ARE good at and feeling better about being good at those things.
I just now realised that receiving compliments do make me feel uncomfortable/embarrassed and how common that is. This takes my understanding of my social anxiety to the next level! Thanx a lot😊😊
this video is very relate with me.. thanks for creating this video. And I agreed that positive afirmation in EVERY SINGLE DAY of people with lack of confidence or having fragile mentality like me is such as basic needs. huffttt
Wow I do all these things... dang. Its hard to change, especially when a lot of this is due to trauma. Keep trying, everyone. Keep the hope in your heart, and keep trying. Your life and experiences matter. You matter. Thank you for all you do, and all you will do. I'm so proud of you, we got this.
I absolutely love how informative and calming these videos are. I'm not usually interested in learning stuff mostly, but these are interesting topics that I enjoy learning about. I also really like the animations.
Read this if you have ever felt alone, depressed, suicidal, lost, scared, worthless, abandoned, or anything of that nature, this is for you You Are Beautiful. You Are Wanted. You Are Wonderful. Don't quit on yourself. Don't hurt yourself. You are worth the world and nobody wants to see you suffering. This is not the end. The way you feel right now will pass. Peoples minds will change. Things WILL get better. We love you and are always here for you. Do NOT do something permanent over something temporary. You're better than that. All stars need to see darkness before the light. And always remember, Don't change so people will like you. Be yourself & the right people will find and love the real you. Your own unique Mindset always trys to engage in the right ways Now read the first letter of every word You Matter! no matter what other people may say. Always know this is true. It helps. You are worth my time to write this. I do care.
I can relate to number 8. Sometimes I just feel like I don't deserve it and that they just say it to make me feel better. My biggest fear is getting something I don't deserve.
Very much to the point. Good reflection. I would like to add, that constant stress and fatigue can take away confidence especially when your partner depriciates you in these moments. Good supporting friends do help☺️
Thank you for talking about the subject and leaving little open solution to every part of the video. I relate a lot with the content of this video and it gives me courage to work on myself. So thank you for that 🌻
Also, the not involving myself in conversations cuz I'm afraid of being judged is from experience, not what I tell myself. Every single time I try to involve myself in a conversation, I always get made fun of or ignored.
You worth the best. If you think someone is better or it is you not really good, then you should be aware - there are skills and advantages of you that weren't yet discovered. So I hope finding what you love and understanding how you feel this world will definitely make you more happy and rich in the way you want. Don't stop believe, because even the worst things will be gone. Find what you love to do. That's the key. Realise it and then just push it right to the aim. And you will be amazed how far you can go. You'll be glad for yourself. You will be confident. And happy. Hello from Russia!
I struggle with confidence. I used to love being creative, but I've been finding it harder and harder to create to the point that I'm now not even creating anything good, just like the self-fulfilling prophecies you mentioned in this video. I'm so worried about perfectionism that I actually can't do things anymore. I really want to change this. I hope I can.
This might not be seen, but I would love to see a video on the topic of confidence and ADHD. Not beingconfidence when you are neurodivergent (and have spent your childhood undiagnosed) can feel different than this list. For example, people with ADHD tend to talk a lot about what they like, and can't read social cues until someone tells them to stop, which often leads to rejection sensitivity. Also, when you are overthinking what you did or didn't do with ADHD, it can come with hyperfixating on it and when you know you are, you can't stop because this is what the brain is focused on.
I am guilty of ruminating. Did it a whole lot more than i can count. It's even worse when i'm going to bed to the point where i can't sleep without my phone as a distraction or else i'll cry my eyes out to sleep. It's exhausting.
RUminating the whole shit was the most waste of time i have extreme shyness at school and i have introvert personality at college i hate it i want to end mylife either
3:43 What if no matter how many times someone tells you something isn’t your fault, you still think it’s your fault and that you screwed everything up despite knowing that’s not true.
I have a really hard time thinking I’m not good enough to do certain things or that if I try I won’t succeed. For example I have a drivers test coming up and whenever I think about it my mind immediately goes to an area where I feel too nervous that I’ll fail. But after watching this video I thought to myself that I know that I’m a good driver and that I have the ability to pass this test. Literally thinking to yourself that you can do it and truly believing in your ability actually does help. It may have been one instance but I literally already feel better about this circumstance I’m in. I know I can do this and you should know that you can do and accomplish whatever obstacle it is you’re trying to accomplish. Just repeat it to yourself and truly believe it, because deep down you know that you can do it
Blimey, this video sums up 90% of my life. I have put myself down for many years and find it hard to stop. I'm poor at social conversation and lack confidence in party-type situations; I always feel I have nothing to say. Unsurprisingly, I'm single and likely to remain so.
Look at the bright side. You went to this video because you recognized something is up with your confidence. Sometimes the realization is what gets you up the first step. It might be hard, but if you work at each one and improve you might be pleasantly surprised.
Thank you so much for this video, im currently struggling with the consequences of blaming someone else for something i got myself into. I always set the bar high for myself and i tend to break easily under pressure, i don't know if someone else is going threw something similar but i had a recital i had to attend to. I play piano and i over think a lot so i tend to underestimate my playing to others and that if i make a mistake my parents, or my teacher will be dissapointed of me. But the reality is that i worry to much if i had just done the concert i could have raised my self esteem and said " wow...i was truly able to do a recital! how cool is that?" but i couldn't, i chickened out and im no longer able to play piano because my classes were canceled. My mom always tends to say "do something with your life don't just sit there and do nothing" or "everything you do needs results" and i agree completing something and accepting that your good at what you do gives you confidence and allows others to learn as well and say "Man i wish i was more like you" hearing that at times makes you happy because it shows that your progressing and that your talented and agile sometimes if not most of the times raises your confidence. But lesson learned for me, never overthink and get nervous for the little things, that is my message to everyone watching this video or reading the comments. Learn that 1. not everyone cares, 2. some people will not like you no matter what you do (so never go out of your way and try to please them because that wont do anything, only set your self esteem lower). and 3. set the bar high. The feeling of achieving something is so rewarding, knowing that you have a talent and recognizing that your agile in what you do is like a breath of fresh air. But also don't get discouraged if someone is better or more agile, accept that one day you will also get there, life is just a stair case that sometimes you'll get tired of going up at one point, but that the next you will have that burst of energy and encouragement that allows you to go up another step. -[Don't overthink like me and get things done. Make mistakes but make even bigger progress :)]
This is one of the most helpful videos on self confidence. The narrator’s voice is personal and soothing besides being very articulate. Keep up the good work!
Never really have confidence myself. When ever I look in a mirror I say to myself " wow I'm beautiful" but then " oh wait no I'm not I'm so ugly". So my confidence are very very low
This was really helpful❤️ I would appreciate it if you guys could make a video on how we can be more respectful to ourselves in front of people, through our words. Thanks for all you do☺️

I fully agree whenever I get to anxious about something I like to meditate and only be totally present while focusing on where I am and the sounds around me. It usually calms me down almost instantly. If anyone has never given it a try I highly recommend it

Who here believes that pride is sometimes defined too strictly?
this video made me realized a lot of things. Ive been wondering why am I not confident like others, now I understand that I am the one that keep destroying my confidence and not the world or other people.
I also have lack of confidence . But one week ago in school teacher gave speacking activity to all first tern is mine i feared so much . But i gave well . Teacher said you speak well and next time be loud . When this activity over my friends apperciate me because mostly student forgot their lines but i didnt . I was very happy . It boost my confirnce . My voice is still low . So i came to this video
"why dont you tend to get involved in conversations at work or social events?"
*BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS IGNORES ME-*
Yeah people find me boring😑 😂😂
Jajajaj hasta que me di cuenta que hablaba bajito y no me escuchaban cuando hablaba :(
I think it’s cause you’re not speaking to them first or maybe you seem too awkward and the atmosphere would get awkward if you talk to them

I’ve always had confidence but I’ve also felt extremely tired my entire life. Confidence doesn’t get you anywhere if you don’t have the energy to act on anything.

yeah I've also always been wondering where to get the energy from!
EXACTLY
For me, my low confidence is kind of a coping mechanism. By setting the bar low for myself, I don’t disappoint myself too much.
Me too. Whenever something isn't going my way I'm like "What did I expect? Of course it would turned out like this"
Same although I can’t imagine this is very healthy either 😅

i’ve always been told that i seem super confident, and this always surprises me because i always thought i came off as very insecure and unconfident (which is how i feel). so think about this: sometimes, even if you think that you’re not confident and no one looks up to you, remember that someone, or many people, probably think you come off as a confident person. even if this isn’t the case, you’re still perfect just like you are ❤️

8) 4:53 You dismiss complements
9) 5:26 Ruminating
If you forget about what other people think you’ll find so much freedom in life:)
My Confidence has been broken and just given up trying
But thx to my subscribers in my video, They rebuilt it!
I guess I gotta try again
omg the cute things with plants have a voice now!!! CuT3!!!!!!!!!!!
This made me confident thank you so much for this
You're very welcome! - Cindy

@@Psych2go thanks cindy and everyone
I have found that recognizing the things you are not good at and being OK with that makes a huge difference. Because that does 2 things: accepting yourself for what you are not good at (rather than beating yourself up for not being good at everything), and recognizing the things you ARE good at and feeling better about being good at those things.

Yeah. I experience that a lot.
I am guilty of ruminating. Did it a whole lot more than i can count. It's even worse when i'm going to bed to the point where i can't sleep without my phone as a distraction or else i'll cry my eyes out to sleep. It's exhausting.
Sending you a virtual hug ❤. So sorry you're going thru.

I’ve been needing this! 🙏thank you
well the habits are still so difficult to stop
Yeah..they are😓
Look at the bright side. You went to this video because you recognized something is up with your confidence. Sometimes the realization is what gets you up the first step. It might be hard, but if you work at each one and improve you might be pleasantly surprised.
I used to be so confident but through lockdown i developed social anxiety
Me too, can’t even speak to my good friends normally anymore
