      Thank you, and yes, I wish that there was a video-sharing monopoly, that 99% of users wrongly perceived as a “public platform,” though it was really a controlled space that didn’t have an a_gor_th_m with an agenda.
      I never perceived the bias until I started creating content and directly witnessed the absurd, insurmountably clever, dishonest, sneaky, gaslighting methods used to suppress certain content and promote others.
      Ugh I feel like I’m gunna barf thinking of the multitude of direct examples and proof and having no voice because my volume is completely controlled by something other than my viewers.

    Very similar to how the Vietcong used to tie fishing line to a partially pulled grenade pin so that when you tripped the wire, the pin would pull out completely. Of course the Vietcong had more sinister intentions and would make punji pits around the grenade so that when you went to dive for cover from the fragmentation, you would fall into the actual trap being the punji pits.

    If you've noticed your CA glue bottle prematurely hardening, it's because the hardening agent is aromatic. A spray into the air causes the hardening to accelerate. Typically to hasten the curing process one will tend to spray directly onto the glue covered area or spot & it will create a shell & most of the time cause crazing. That's the hardened foam that smokes, cackles & it a "cold shut", as with a cold sweat joint on copper pipe, or a cold solder on a circuitboard. The difference is crazed CA glue expands in bulk & crazed areas are weak.

    It is basically nylon surveyors string, impregnated with tar, so its 100% water proof, and sun proof.
    no "capillary action" or similar things to worry about. Using it might save you a few steps, some resources, and some time.
    It comes in a variety of sizes, from basically dental floss sized, to like, paracord size, and everything in between.

    I have an idea for you to try: in the 'OSS special weapons and equipment' book I had, they showed these "chemical delay pencils". A spring striker held under tension with a wire passing thru a celluloid disk held captive under a cotton sponge. The top end had an ampule of different concentrations of acetone or some other solvent that would be broken and then it would eat the disk, releasing the wire so the striker can do it's work. You could select a rough delay time by chosing different concentrations of the solvent.
    I used poly and lacquer to make the disks, but I never was able to get a good shape that came apart the same way every time, and I never did come up with a good substitute for the acetone ampules, I just varied the amount of wick and water blending to try and come up with a workable delay.. nevrr sorted it out. Cool lil thing tho.

      Are you talking about pencil detonators?
      They use a lead wire, and copper chloride to dissolve the wire releasing the spring.

    • @camojoe83
      @camojoe83 Місяць тому

      @@DH-xw6jp all the drawings I saw referred to "celluloid disk" locking the wire for the thing I'm talking about. I'm pretty sure that would work too, tho. The russians forgo chemicals all together and use a wire of different thickness being cut by another under spring clockworks, but that's a whole different deal..

    • @DH-xw6jp
      @DH-xw6jp Місяць тому

      @@camojoe83 the British had one of that type too.
      The copper chloride one was called a "number 10, Delay" and the nicked wire one was called a "number 9, L Delay" (L signifying lead without the chemical component)
      You can look them both up pretty easily if you search for "pencil detonator" or "timer pencil"
