Watching Dave Davidson play is like watching a Fucking magic show. Dude has a disgustingly sick style. I don’t typically like death metal, but maybe it’s the Jazz student in me who wants to jam with that dude. His technique is unparalleled.
I love that all this was captured from the NAMM booth, and I really appreciate the audio quality on these. So much of the stuff coming out of NAMM has terrible audio quality with tons of background noise, but these are great. I hope there are more coming.
@@mikehawkisb1g Shit dawg it's just NAMM riffage. They're not there to showcase anything besides the products really, or at least in these montage videos, whereas skill and musicianship are usually demonstrated on a stage. It's like a convention of gear demos lmao. P.S: don't let Polyphia's BS culture swallow you alive and make you disrespect the older heads.
Love seeing tosin and all these guitarist geek out on gear. Also to be honest was never really a fan of these guitars until this namm. Totally sold, your booth got me itching to play/purchase one of your guitars,
skubadoobie honestly not sure if i should post this as a question but Im a massive fan of Guns n roses and that southern rock style sound, Would these guitars be just as good getting that tone as a Les Paul would?
@@jameslyddall bro these things are crazy versatile I'd argue yes. But it also depends on your rig. Solid rig will make an even bigger tonal difference. I mean those Morgan amps are amazing. I'd say they are more modern pups but you could always change them if you reslly wanted to. But honestly tosins pups are very clear.
Did you see that big smile on Abasi's face when those guys were jammin' and drawing a crowd? He's like, "I'm gonna sell some guitars today............"
Even though a good deal of it isn't really my style, I can't help but appreciate the massive amount of talent on display here. 14:15 how does he move his hand like that?
That would be some funny shit. He would be like" I have to get a fan in here because of the smoke coming off the strings, or what's left of the strings. Owe was that inside picking or downward stroke" lol
Wow, I really like that take on a telecaster. I have gone so far off the deep-end on odd guitar requirements at this point. I play 48-fret quartertone guitars left-handed. I need completely custom guitars at this point. The traditional guitar companies are more conservative than monks. Tosin has found a place that needs a push forward.
Daves playing barely even looks real. I haven’t really listened to Revocation, but I love his style whenever I hear him play. Also, that deep red 7-string is beautiful. Love the way the 7-string headstock looks.
Every time time I see this video, I ask myself how God dammit they get that tight and insane gain from that really clean amp that is the Morgan. And I'm not only meaning to the metal tones
I never understand 99% of the dude that go to NAMM and watch these amazing guitarists and look like they are trying to pay attention to a boring lesson at school.... I love how out of all of them Dave was one of the sickest some dirty filthy riffs!
I did not say it was a bad run. I did not say I could play it. I did not say I did not like it. I SAID it is the SAME DAMN RUN. AND if you would listen to it, it is the same run. I am not criticizing his playing. Tom is a brilliant player. I am simply pointing out that the extremely fast and clean run is repeated a lot. Like most of us when we try out an instrument. Jeez.
I am so skeptical as to how the HELL he is playing that fast but Jesus bro. Dave is a GOD of a rhythm player just as much as he is an incredible lead player
Dear Tosin, Please check out "Ce qu'a vu le vent d'ouest" by Claude Debussy. Although this is composed for piano, this tune is totally djenty! I would really love to hear a djent guitar version of this ! Sincerly
OH SNAP the guitars sound REALLY good man love the fucked up look too sick of seeing the same shit looks functional as fuk too damn how the hell did I end up here man
"You got an octave pedal?"
"No"
"What have you got?"
"GAIN"
Mark lettieri’s groove is one of the nastiest in the game
the funk djent at the end omd
Dave nervously playing all of his fast songs even faster
yo golden comment
that of unworldly origin verse riff was insane
I really love Dave, he always has this intelligent, nervous vibe when articulating in interviews and on the guitar
to be honest, in front of Tosin i would do the same haha
He doesn't have his drummer there to hold him back. Lol
Watching Dave Davidson play is like watching a Fucking magic show. Dude has a disgustingly sick style. I don’t typically like death metal, but maybe it’s the Jazz student in me who wants to jam with that dude.

too agitated to be useful
Setlist:
Mark Lettieri: 0:00
Jack Gardiner: 6:35
Dave Davidson: 12:36
Thanks hero
all of these artists are phenomenal, I wish I could see Guthrie Govan enjoy some play time on one of these BMF's \m/
Dave's right hand looks like the video is sped up considerably.
haha, so true! the camera wasn't able to capture his speed :P
Yes!!! That’s what I was thinking
It's because they're using the wrong shutter speed on the camera. :)
The riff that starts at 13:19.. Vomit inducing in the best way.
yeah that picking is ridiculously fast....I'd never even attempt that...
Mr. Davidson surely must've just scorched a hole in the ozone!
Mark is one of my favorite players!
That's great. YOU are one of mine! ;-)
Really like Jack Gardiner's playing......
I love how stoked Tosin always is on hearing great players. Cool guy.
I love that all this was captured from the NAMM booth, and I really appreciate the audio quality on these. So much of the stuff coming out of NAMM has terrible audio quality with tons of background noise, but these are great. I hope there are more coming.
Holy hell, Mark is incredible.
Dave's right hand looks like a rendering error.
Man sometimes I forget that Dave Davidson is one of the best guitarists around. How he plays this stuff while also singing is beyond me lol.
Dave Davidson is the spirit of metal. Just an absolute wizard on the guitar!
Jack Gardiner is an absolute treasure tbh
Dude why is no one else talking about this guy? Lol
@@mannymaciel8622 I thought his performance was a bit mediocre and repetitive
Wowee more blues scale/jazz riffing, so inventive and new and not boring at all! Impressive if youre a boomer maybe

ah yess dave is too sick great to see him testing out the abasi
Man, Mark Lettieri's right hand is something else.
Mark Lettieri warps grooves around his playing.

This is probably my favourite part of namm this year
Jack Gardiner's really monster, always been my idol since i know him from guitar idol competition
They are all very good, and I love Revocation, but the second guy is really something else!
I feel like Dave is that guy who you go to jam with and he starts the metronome at 240bpm
JEZZUSSS DAVE!!!!!

14:15 how does he move his hand like that?
its really a lot of practice bro and some genetics too, some people are just insanely fast in movement
Def some sick hands in this video. How about that epic spice Jack lays down at 12:03.
I'm talking, right before the pickup change.
Dweezil? hehe Awesome playing.
All of these videos have been great. Found a bunch of great guitarists I hadn't heard before and some great playing from ones I'm already a fan of.
Tosin's face @4:23 is priceless.
its like Huh what? nooo
lmao. I can't tell if likes it or hates it
Tosin at the end "I was about to fuckin open up this pit" 😂😂
Dave..... really showed the well defined sound and clarity of those Fishman... crazy.
Is the first guy from Snarky Puppy?
he is
Mark Lettieri
no, it's his second clone... their respective phrasing is just a bit different... btw: clone #1 is a clarinet player in Bavaria
no he's having a good time
and also from The Fearless Flyers
Maan…these guys were amazing but the last guy..that shred was incredible. Had me doing the Phil face
Mark is a savage. Funkiest man on the planet
Morgan makes some really nice chairs, I would like to try one some day!
my thoughts too.
Mark way of playing with times WOW
Outstanding playing. I'd never heard of Mark Lettieri.
so inspiring to see all these amazing players in these videos! thanks!!!! cant wait for more!
Holy Shyte! Those first two guys are amazing players!
I love seeing someone who can play the fuck out of some thrashy riffs. Dave Davidson is one such person... precision doesn't do it justice.
World's most expensive throne for sitting on!
Tosin Abosi is the tech geek while Mark gets to be the funk magician.
Whatever the camera guy is making... double it
That's gotta be the most expensive "chair" ever, a Morgan chair... haha Awesome video Tosin!
First encounter with Jack Gardiner’s “gift”... Holy Mother of God!😮RESPECT!🌹
Jack is not only an brilliant player, he's one of the nicest guys you would every meet too.
Jack Gardiner and Dave Davidson on the sample video. FUCK. YEAH.
Dave’s extremely physical style is something to behold. Try tabbing that!
That is one expensive stool.
Dave Davidson is from another dimension
Yoooooo that was totally wild man! Mad Props!!!! It Djents so you know we stay on brand haha
If you show video of Johnny Hiland I'll faint from pure awe and joy
Haha so cool hearing Tosin get excited about Dave's playing here
It wouldn't be sick playing at NAMM without Jack Gardiner involved! Also, that first dude looping the funky, jazzy stuff was bonkers.
TechMetalRules the John Mayer look alike?
6:37 Jack Gardiner
15:18 That rouge high string that plays right after he finishes lmao.
2nd guy man so quick jesus. Oh man revocation lmao my nightly ritual, I wont rest until this vile demon is defeated!
oh hey dave davidson is the master of low string shreding in this era
4:21 loved how he's react there :D
I love the neck design on the guitar at just after 3 minutes.
Marks an absolute UNIT jeeez
Tosin at the end "I was about to open up this pit dude" haha
Jack Gardiner is amazing....
If Rocket Science was as advanced and guitar playing is, we'd have set foot on all the planets in our solar system by now.
When Lettieri shows up
11:02 Tosin says, "Fuck, I was about open up this pit, dude!"
Dave Davidson needs to meet with Troy Grady if he hasn’t already
That would be some funny shit. He would be like" I have to get a fan in here because of the smoke coming off the strings, or what's left of the strings. Owe was that inside picking or downward stroke" lol
Lettieri's "hot line" 5:19 - very fuckin' good)))
All of them are sick Guitar player.. incredible ♥️♥️♥️♥️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👌👌👌 Amazing as always ♥️🔥 Hope to see them in future ♥️🔥
Lolol the stank face from tosin at 4:22

We need more microtonal guitars
Jack Gardiner has some serious chops...
Amazing guitarists, cool to see and hear thank you man
Sometimes I use a boutique hand wired amp head as a stool. Sometimes I don't.
I do not regret buying The Outer Ones album.
Man, what the fuck is up with these maniacal players. :O Insane skills across the board
Totally dig the first guy.
Ade Stickbaby first guy playing is the guitarist from a band called Snarky Puppy. Absolute monsters. Check them out!
