Absolutely not my type of guitars. But I want him to be successful. He is putting a genuine effort to make a premium product that speaks for it self. And he is genuinely excited about it , is not trying to sugar-coat and oversell. Hope his guitars will have its own premium place soon like the Petrucci's guitars.
$1.6k is actually pretty reasonable for these and a fine alternative to Strandbergs for my fellow weirdos out there. Wouldn't be surprised to see way more of these out in the wild in the coming years.
I wonder how much they will be around here, but if they end up 1.6 they are way more interesting then strandbergs. I still expect Ibanez to have a headless fanned fret guitar next year.
I believe Andertons sold Tosin's Pathos pedal for a while (although it's disappeared from both Andertons' and Thomann's site), so it's only a matter of time before they carry the guitars as well.
I'm buying a 7 string production run 100% I've been wanting one of these so damn bad since I saw the original Ibanez Abasi shape. Such a perfect shaped guitar
Tosin is such an admirable person! Willing to put his life into his own hands! I bet his instruments are of such a good quality and dedication! Cheers Tosin!
couldn't agree more. i am a total boomer when it comes to guitar body shapes. anything too far from the old traditional shapes look weird and ugly to my eye, even the V looks weird to me and they've been a thing from near the start of the electric guitar. for some reason, however, the Abasi body looks "right" to me.
Most exciting guitar for decades !! This is the future, Tosin makes the perfect guitar to play. Ok the shape is not conventional but this seems to be the most playable guitar ever.
@@algorithm007ify I think this is more car design than wheel. Imagine if cars or household appliances still looked like they came from 1954. Tosin has talked about this in interviews, why are guitars stuck in the past
Actually I was pleasantly suprized by the prices! 3K is not really all that bad for an American made, small shop guitar. Grover also makes the Friedman guitars, so the quality is super nice. Great work Tosin!
Tosin seems like he is in a better place, I think he was nervous for a while but I think abasi concepts is really one of the names on everyone’s lips. It’s good to see him vibrant
Wow! That "tele" is damn cool! 😃 Though, all of them are beautiful! Definetly will consider these when buying a proper 7-string some time in the future. But that "tele" though... 😍
absolutely stunning, their show piece I thought was going to be a cheeseball mess of flame this and roasted maple that with 30 piece neck, but that 3d carbon fibre flame is all it took, all packed up in the classiness of a high end piano, then you turn it around and are pleasantly shocked to have its raw natural beauty exposed to you, we havent even had diner yet and... woah and then you know you just want it
I have absolutely no interest in owning one of these but I still want to see them hanging up on every guitar shops wall. Tosin just seems like the nicest most genuine and passionate dude out there. I want him to succeed in his guitar making ventures. Good on 'em.
Tosin’s gotta get a bigger booth with more guitars, I think his booth was the only one I went to where it seemed like they weren’t allowing you to play the guitars
I hear Pete dying in the background from how gorgeous these USA guitars are. You should definitely carry these (especially the cheaper WMI ones), they're nice.
I really like the shape of that. It looks very ergonomic like the Strandberg without looking like a Strandberg clone. I’m definitely gonna have to check one out.
So glad you took over for the captain his voice was starting to go thanks Bea. Oh, there's an amazing Vegan restaurant that is close to you in Anaheim called Au Lac.
If you guys stocked those production Abasi guitars I would definitely have to come down again and have a pub lunch next door! Last time I did that the whole UA-cam gang was there... unreal 🤪
First time seeing an Abasi guitar model: WTF is that? It's so strange! Second time (seeing Tosin play one): Huh. I guess that look cool. Third time: Holy shit I want to try one at namm.
I'm not a shreddy kinda guy, but I can appreciate some of the clever touches in these designs, really impressive. I do love that tele style guitar though, I think it's gorgeous. I'd definitely buy one if it were priced right.
I mean what exactly do you think is "priced right" for a guitar with such detail finish? You're looking at detail, craftsmanship, overall design. It seems already priced at a decent range already. This ain't walmart.
The Terminator I saw AAL back in 17, and had my 8/10yo sons in the front row. Drove 80 miles on a school night in freezing rain. Because I gave the front row bouncer a set of earplugs (to each their own), we were the only people fortunate enough to meet Tosin after the show. Was great with the kids, we talked ancient Meshuggah and Holdsworth stuff, and I thanked him for all he’s done for the genre. Was a bucket list night. And don’t get me started on the Alluvial opening set!
Fuck that is so awesome they’re coming out production models. I’ve always wanted one of his guitars but could never afford one. 1.6k-1.8k doesn’t sound too bad at all. If I can get one on a payment I will buy it ASAP!!
I love how excited he is about his brand. I’m so happy for Tosin.
Hands up if you want to see Bea and Tosin exchanging riffs on baritones/multi-scales
🥱
hell yeh would be awesome
nah
Rabea is a great guitarist but no lol. That is not fair.
I would love a Captain or even Rabea meets Tosin interview. I bet he's got a fascinating musical journey, also his ethos is just something else
Yes. Abasi, Satriani, Saraceno, etc.
+1, there is a good Tosin interview on the no guitar is safe podcast, he's a guitar nerd in the best sense!
When Tosin shows him the carbon fiber top he looks so happy, it's awesome to see. You can tell he has a real love for his product.
Absolutely not my type of guitars. But I want him to be successful. He is putting a genuine effort to make a premium product that speaks for it self. @@ArnoVdVelde Ooooohhh now that's a shout. An entry level headless ibanez would be a game changer.
Yeah man, can't wait honestly for them to be released. I was desperately looking for some 8 string news from NAMM 2020 and this looks very promising.
If theyll ever deliver the ones from last namm even
Yeah rite. I wish strandbergs were around 1k. But with that patented neck profile makes strandberg one of a kind
He seems like such a nice bloke. Not my sort of guitars at all but I almost want to buy one because he’s so nice haha
Yeah, he's always been a great representative of guitar!
That futuristic tele has me drooling for some reason, I gotta at least try one of those man
@@Wolfgang_von_Caelid I’ve heard VERY good things from serious players man.
Come on Andertons help a brother out by supporting Tosin and his guitars.
Are they brothers? Who would have thought!!
There not brothers it's a figure of speech.
@@JoshBeachel What? Now you are confusing me. So who's brother is in need of help?
I believe Andertons sold Tosin's Pathos pedal for a while (although it's disappeared from both Andertons' and Thomann's site), so it's only a matter of time before they carry the guitars as well.
This is a business not a charity.....if you feel so strongly about it...you help him.
Gotta say I'm starting to get into these Abasi guitars.
Same here
That tele one is absolutely stunning oh my god
1:50 Nik Nocturnal in the house!
I'm buying a 7 string production run 100% I've been wanting one of these so damn bad since I saw the original Ibanez Abasi shape. Such a perfect shaped guitar
Same, except with 8 string

These should be stocked at Anderton's. Very nice.

As a bass player I understand the power of the Wenge
I'm a guitar player and I don't. Can you explain pls? .-.

That’s a pretty big statement to make..
Who cares that it isn't conventional, we've been playing strat shaped guitars for 70 years, it's time we make guitar design modern.

@@algorithm007ify I think this is more car design than wheel. Imagine if cars or household appliances still looked like they came from 1954. Tosin has talked about this in interviews, why are guitars stuck in the past
the shape is basically a strandberg with a headstock 😁
1:50 nik is in the background 😂
Massively want to hear that Tele type ... They all look flipping amazing
Dude that carbon quilt is the sickest thing I've seen on a guitar.
Actually I was pleasantly suprized by the prices! 3K is not really all that bad for an American made, small shop guitar. Grover also makes the Friedman guitars, so the quality is super nice. Great work Tosin!

Super stoked to see the evolution of Abasi Concepts

His voice is a lil strained. He must've doing a lot of interviews.
It’s pretty loud at NAMM. That’s why he feels he has to yell even with a mic, cause he can’t hear himself.
I love how in the beginning you have Nik Nocturnal just chilling in the background
That Tele-style model is absolutely gorgeous.
I wan't so sure about these guitars back when they were first introduced, but now I kinda want one! They are sleek machines.

Good to see abasi guits finally got off the ground! 😊👍
I would get one of those production run guitars from WMI in a heartbeat if Andertons stocked them.
