If you're good enough at aiming and dodging, Queen is easy. Just my opinion though. Edit: Thought I'd add this: Rook seems easier with Ms. Chalice. Again, my opinion, but it does seem to be the case.

When the ghost said “The contest of skill” he meant the climbing contest the axe, pickaxe, and the other one had to get the secret code. You don’t have to do the “King’s Leap” section to find the hidden boss.
When I played through the dlc I used the crack-shot on the first phase of glumstone and idk why but the crack-shot's bullet always prioritized killing the little gnome boys first so I never really had to deal with them so I thought it was easy :/
If you use the crackshot on Glumstone, it is MUCH easier, not as fast maybe but it takes out the smaller Gnomes and let's you dodge without worry, this also works on the final faze and don't destroy parriables in Glumstones level. If I had to say Winchester and Chef Saltbaker are the biggest pain (Winchester though is fun to me though)
For the knight, when he does the uppercut attack, your supposed to jump into his head fluff thing before he strikes, then dash away after It requires incredibly fast reflexes but it makes the boss way faster, since he does that uppercut attack the most
I genuinely think that ms. Chalice makes fighting Winchester easier, because her secondary is a volley of mini grenades, and if you can find the perfect spot so that beans don't start to spawn but the sausages can't hit you it makes the last phase so much easier
i love how everyone has different opinions on the bosses depending on their game styles! I found the giant to be the easiest, while i died at the final phase of saltbaker way too many times, lol
I think the kings knight/horse parry one was the hardest coz of how dumb it was, it’s a lot easier to make those quick jab ones with chalice but sometimes it would still randomly hit you so that’s great. Plus all the others there like 2 new uniques that make it so you can get heaps of lives so even tho they can be hard unlike when cuphead first came out it kinda feels like you can really take a hit
The knight takes forever until you realize that during his upward stab and arcing stab you can hit him twice during both of them is you react fast enough, and during his full screen charge you can get three hits in.
If you think this is bad, remember you have to beat ALL OF THEM damageless TWICE MINIMUM to 100% complete the dlc. Once for A+/S rank, and AGAIN to unlock the divine relic
The Relic can also be obtained by beating only one boss in the DLC and then other 5 bosses in the previous islands. I think that makes it a bit easier.
Your maingame cuphead ranking is my favorite cuphead tierlist, it brings me joy that your follow-up is just as sarcastic and smooth and uses isle 3 piano once again.
12:40 THE GEESE. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but I lost track of how many times the pillar I was on would start to rise just as the geese started flying in.
I feel the knight should be higher just because the hit box seems wayyy too small. I’ve had many times where I get hit because I’m pixels off from the parry hit box. The only way I was able to beat him was to abuse the I-frames from getting hit to get around 3 parry’s each time playing chalice. This gave me around 9 hits immediately and then I had to play patient. Literally my least favorite fight in the DLC. It’s still good but damn is it annoying.
@@skateplays8880 fo real, as a training ground it's easy and tedious, but the swordplay and hitbix implemented in a harder boss would be hella challenging.
Winchester: You like Dr. Kahls robot? How about putting some of his mechanics at the same time while adding a bunch of new crap in the midst of it? Fun S-rank right?
I just finished playing all of the DLC last night and for me the bosses that really made me go insane were the Executioner, Stage 1 of Chef Salt Shaker, and definitely the 3rd stage of the fighting the Sausage Cow form.
1:37 no wonder it takes long when you don't parry on the sword slash attack. (not the one where he has his eyes open, just the one where he puts his sword up once) that literally gives you 3 parries (or 2 if you're bad).
2:58 on top of The cannons, they're annoying due to having less control over them, they should be alined and stay that way so you can decide when to fire. I believe she should have a second phase, where she Throws out the other pieces(Rook,Knight,Pope,Pawn) that are able to be launched back at her, move in their original incarations(Pawn in once in a foward line,Khignt in a L shape,Rook Heavy with more health and move in a Line upward/forwad/Downward,Pope does Zig Zag across the entire screen)and uses they're respective weapons: *Pawn's is Short Dagger she throws. *Rook's axe is Heavy but Causes an earthquake as she slams it down. *Pope She charges an Ability the heals her for 2 health. *Knight's Sword Will be used to Slice and stab you, If she gains his Shield shell block the parried projectile. *King's LOng sword, She Spins with it Moving where th Slash is(Mid/Low), gets dizzy after use. Her Health would be at 14.
Interestingly enough, Glumstone the Giant was actually the first DLC boss I beat. It was then followed by the Moonshine Mob, Mortimer Freeze, the Howling Aces, Esther Winchester, and then Chef Saltbaker.
Yea I tried the Ogre boss first before bed and that guy obliterated me. It was late and I was pretty tired so I only tried once. But yea, there was way too much going on that you have to pay attention to.
That bear pisses me off! Especially on expert mode, cuz the far right pillar always goes down, then the freaking geese!!! Any pillar im on, automatically goes up when the geese come around
@@Dooms_Day_King for the geese I start from close to the edge, I go down, move slowly to the right (so as not to reach the right edge too fast, but not to slow to get caught up by the spikes) and use s if there is a gnome popping while you're on the way
This is the first video I've watched from you and while I don't agree with your Glumstone placement at all, I like your style. So, thanks for being entertaining.
I was able to S rank the giant way easier than other bosses using the crack shot and wind up. Crackshot can eliminate most gnomes in the first phase the second they spawn since the homing shots kill them in one hit; you can pretty much get rid of 50% of the obstacles. Also that last phase of that fight is by far the easiest. There’s barely any projectiles and the platforms are super telegraphed as when they’re gonna come down.
Glumstone was my first and after him I thought I would hate the dlc. Then all the other bosses were a delight to my relief. Still stupid hard though that might have been my fault for restricting myself to only cuphead, peashooter, and the heart ring.
Lmao, that quite literally is why it was stupid hard since you had one of the worst loadouts it should kind of be expected the fights are frustrating (ik you did it for extra challenge ofc)
@@Mr.XY97 you're right. It's fun to try new ways of playing the game though. I once did a lobber only run through the regular game, and the phantom train is the hardest for that mode.
For my list it's: 12. The Pawns 11. The Bishop 10. The Queen 9. The Knight 8. Angel and Devil 7. The Rook 6. Moonshine Mob 5. Glumstone the Giant 4. Mortimer Freeze 3. Howling Aces 2. Esther Winchester 1. Chef Saltbaker
pro tip for The Knight: when he does his dash, instead of dashing over it, parry over it. if you are close enough afterwards you can actually get another 2 parries in while he's tired for a total of 3
When the horse tries to dash slash, you can parry as he's dashing across the screen and then parry him two more times right after he stops. I believe this kinda balances the amount of time.
I used to watch your original cuphead boss ranking like OVER AND OVER a few years back- and my first though when the DLC came out was "I wonder if SunburnedAlbino is gonna make a ranking video?" WHELP HERE IT IS !!!
for the mountain boss, I started playing at 19:00 and I finished him at 23:00. I think I lost the will to live while fighting him but then when I beat him and I had I couldn't fall asleep for 3 hours because of the adrenalin
a massive tip on beating winchester is spamming the big gnawing bullets on her 2nd and 3rd phase. Her hit box is so massive they usually get 4-5 chomps which out dps the nuke
I think the reason why The Knight takes 20 hits to be defeated is that using Chalice, you can hit him once after the quick upslash and reliably hit him THREE times on the other two attacks - as well as being able to damage tank once to get two quick hits in. If you’re skilled enough, you can finish him off in 5-7 of his attacks depending on RNG. If he had any less HP the fight would genuinely take 3 seconds
11:20 Dude that made me laugh haha I used Ms. Chalice and crackshot for most of the levels. I still think Chef Saltbaker takes the cake in terms of difficulty, kind of like the Devil from Cuphead 1. Maybe it’s just the buildup before facing the final boss that psyched me out mentally, but the projectiles were insane on that level. Saltbaker doesn’t make as good as a villain as the Devil does, IMO. Something about accepting the Devil’s offer of selling your soul and seeing Cuphead and MugMan turn into demons was terrifying (along with the theme music playing backwards when the game restarts). Also we had to complete 3 Isles of Cuphead bosses before facing the Devil so it felt like forever before actually facing him. I don’t know about anyone else but I struggled with phase 2 of Mortimer Freeze. The snowman moves across the screen in so many directions and the icicles coming up from the ground would happen at the same time a popsicle would float down and hit me. There were so many references to Djimmi the Great in this game - everything from the flying treasure in Howlin’ Aces and the Queens level to the eyeball laser in Mortimer Freeze. Some of it felt a little redundant compared to the last game, but the beautiful animation took my mind off of it. It really is kind of amazing what MDHR has created between these 2 games. It’s a shame we may no longer see another Cuphead release, but hopefully they have some other cool games coming out in the future. (Also the soundtrack was better in the first game IMO, with more memorable boss themes - Mortimer Freeze had the best theme in the DLC)
4:19 Funnily enough my grandmother used to tell me that there was always an angel behind you that keeps you safe Thats the first thing I thought of lol
"This chick saw the facility under attack and was like 'I still get five minutes right? Stage time is stage time baby!' and now its up to you to assault her." 💀
Fun Fact: The Spider in moonshine Mob Was Based off of a scrapped boss called the flying gentleman and the second faze of this fight was based off an early made boss called the light
the commentery is amazing you can just have a monotone voice speaking and then out of nowhere the most drastic change of voice happens and just suprises you XD
I rebought this game and the DLC at the same time and decided to try it as soon as it was available. The Moonshine Mob was my first boss and boy was I NOT ready for that jump in difficulty.
I find it ironic how a salt shaker has more final boss vibes than Satan himself. The music even makes the fight feel like a climatic finale. Doesn't make sense in the story, but Chef Saltbaker is a great finale to end off the development of Cuphead.
I love how a majority of Ideas that where Scrapped/unused in the original got reused. From the Spider's design to how the Record player lasers damage you, to the bosses that you can only beat hy Parrying.
I've found if you go on multiplayer with mugman as Ms. Chalice on Glumstone, Chalice can stand on the floor right in front of him and the Gnomes on the floor won't detect her and she can stand there and deal damage without getting hit for the entire first phase. But it only works if there is a second player as cuphead playing normally.
The secret one is pretty easy to cheese. You could stand on the edge of the platform and have the angel behind you. Turn around if needed and just use crackshot or chaser and just stand there and dodge the devils attacks pretty easily. Just be careful to not turn around and you'll be fine.
that stupid anteater at the end of Moonshine Mob is the devil reincarnate. He makes the bossfight like 90% harder than it already was, which is why I find that level the hardest.
Honestly I didn’t have too much trouble with Glumstone, and I didn’t even think you could stand on the floor during the first phase! I thought it was just insta damage spikes, so the fact that you can walk down there was news to me.
The inner MegaMan fan in me recognized Saltbaker’s Wood Man attack fairly quickly, then I got really mad that I had to avoid that the whole second phase lol
Still waiting for someone to make a ranking vid of this quality for all the bosses on co-op, because, oh boy, the extra stuff you have to put up with when everything has double health is outrageous.
After beating Salt baker I tried all of them on expert and the changes they made are probably some of the biggest and most notable ones in the entire game imo.
Maybe doing an S-rank journey would yield some different results, like how Chef Saltbaker somehow managed to put MORE things on screen, like a second sentient fireball.
I got my S rank on glumstone using crackshot for first and third phases and twister for second. crackshot will automatically handle the gnomes on the ground for you in first phase and also makes pretty quick work of the last phase since other weapons are hard to hit it with. and twister of course is great for phase 2, no explanation necessary there
Just got all the achievements in the DLC a couple days ago. Probably a good idea to 100% it now before they fix exploits and realize they need to make howling aces harder, they did that for the base game later after its release.
“Like even if you’re a lil’ two-faced son if a gun, wouldn’t you want the nice side of you ti he the one I notice so you can lull me into a false sense of security and prey on my naivety or something? I don’t know I don’t do a lot of social manipulation so i don’t know.”
If you play the Knight VERY aggressively you can actually hit his parry mane after the uppercut. Just get very good at recognizing which move is coming (he doesn’t make a sword or horse sound for the uppercut) and jump dash into the mane as soon as the sword goes down. I cleared the Knight with zero parry misses last night that way.
bro winchester was so hard for me the only reason i somehow beat it was because a glitch happened where when they had the vacuum and started shooting out these safes, she just stopped shooting safe while still doing the animation , and I just kept shooting them until i beat it
I thought the moonshine gang was one of the hardest just because of the first phase, the sheer amount of screen spam it throws at you is just ridiculous. The fight starts with those web bombs, which themselves aren't too tough, but then he summons those goons which you have to kill, and they take a second to spawn so you have to make a mental note of them while you're paying attention to other stuff, and these police ants periodically spew slow moving poison clouds, and from time to time the spider will come out and throw caterpillar chakrams at you, which are going to constantly be allocating space in your brain until you take care of them because they are really dangerous
The King's challenges are better played with Ms.Chalice, cause of her dodge/parry and double jump. You have more control with her and the whole dlc feels like it is based more on her moveset than cuphead/mugman.

For the knight, when he does the uppercut attack, your supposed to jump into his head fluff thing before he strikes, then dash away after
It requires incredibly fast reflexes but it makes the boss way faster, since he does that uppercut attack the most
you can get in a hit right after the sword swipe too, pretty tight timing tho
You can get two hits during the uppercut attack
I think that makes it a bit easier.
i just beat vegetables and blue slime with relic and all 5 bosses in dlc isle lmao
and i unlocked divine relic
or you can use heart ring because hp rank isn't based on how much you were damaged but what hp you end with
The relic needs eight bosses. That’s it. How much bullshit lies have been fed down everyone’s throats.

Nah it’s the worst fight in the entire game it’s somehow both annoying and boring as shit
Weirdly was the positive for me. Probably because I used ms chalice. She seemed best for the King’s Challenges.
@@skateplays8880 fo real, as a training ground it's easy and tedious, but the swordplay and hitbix implemented in a harder boss would be hella challenging.

1:37 no wonder it takes long when you don't parry on the sword slash attack. (not the one where he has his eyes open, just the one where he puts his sword up once)
that literally gives you 3 parries (or 2 if you're bad).
2:58 on top of The cannons, they're annoying due to having less control over them, they should be alined and stay that way so you can decide when to fire.
I believe she should have a second phase, where she Throws out the other pieces(Rook,Knight,Pope,Pawn) that are able to be launched back at her, move in their original incarations(Pawn in once in a foward line,Khignt in a L shape,Rook Heavy with more health and move in a Line upward/forwad/Downward,Pope does Zig Zag across the entire screen)and uses they're respective weapons:
*Pawn's is Short Dagger she throws.
Yes! I loved your original boss ranking so much!

@@dropfish3109 indeed haha
This is the first video I've watched from you and while I don't agree with your Glumstone placement at all, I like your style. So, thanks for being entertaining.
Did anyone else play glumstone as the first boss? lol I was wondering why it was so hard
My first boss was the Moonshine mob. Then I played Glumstone and raged.
I’ve been waiting for this! I loved the first cuphead video, and I love this one too!
1:00 I was so scared to approach him and had to double jump because I thought it was impossible without it
Btw, you can parry those ex crackshot attacks, if that makes any of these fights easier.
I may say, I had so much fun with this dlc
It’s going on the hall of fame for the great dlc
For my list it's:
12. The Pawns
11. The Bishop
10. The Queen
9. The Knight
8. Angel and Devil
7. The Rook
6. Moonshine Mob
5. Glumstone the Giant
4. Mortimer Freeze
3. Howling Aces
2. Esther Winchester
I used to watch your original cuphead boss ranking like OVER AND OVER a few years back- and my first though when the DLC came out was "I wonder if SunburnedAlbino is gonna make a ranking video?"
WHELP HERE IT IS !!!
for the mountain boss, I started playing at 19:00 and I finished him at 23:00. I think I lost the will to live while fighting him but then when I beat him and I had I couldn't fall asleep for 3 hours because of the adrenalin
6:17 "... and then the main bitch comes out..."
I see what you did there! 😆 🐶
a massive tip on beating winchester is spamming the big gnawing bullets on her 2nd and 3rd phase.
Bro completely switched characters 😂😂 3:56
Very nice man. Nice boss ranking. Appreciate the vids. Keep it up
11:20 Dude that made me laugh haha
I used Ms.

Funnily enough my grandmother used to tell me that there was always an angel behind you that keeps you safe
Thats the first thing I thought of lol

the commentery is amazing you can just have a monotone voice speaking and then out of nowhere the most drastic change of voice happens and just suprises you XD
I rebought this game and the DLC at the same time and decided to try it as soon as it was available. The Moonshine Mob was my first boss and boy was I NOT ready for that jump in difficulty.

“No. Regular Leaf”
You can feel his rage while he talks about Glumstone the Giant.
(Also ngl the Rook kinda fine)
I find it ironic how a salt shaker has more final boss vibes than Satan himself. The music even makes the fight feel like a climatic finale. Doesn't make sense in the story, but Chef Saltbaker is a great finale to end off the development of Cuphead.
In the words of akihiko sanada
"I've been waiting for this"
Regarding the knight, it takes way quicker if you parry every single attack he does
I love how a majority of Ideas that where Scrapped/unused in the original got reused.
From the Spider's design to how the Record player lasers damage you, to the bosses that you can only beat hy Parrying.
I wasn’t a huge fan of this dlc but damn the art is gorgeous, if only the screen wasn’t constantly covered with projectiles

The secret one was the most annoying one by far also the one with the heads was a pain too all the other ones were kinda fun
The secret one is pretty easy to cheese. You could stand on the edge of the platform and have the angel behind you. Turn around if needed and just use crackshot or chaser and just stand there and dodge the devils attacks pretty easily. Just be careful to not turn around and you'll be fine.
I cheesed it with the homing weapons and chalice rolling
Smoke dash makes it a breeze if ya having trouble with it
that stupid anteater at the end of Moonshine Mob is the devil reincarnate.
11:08
im glad you said that cause i thought i was trippin!!
I was like how you supposed to dodge the first phase and 2nd at the same damn time!!!?
Still waiting for someone to make a ranking vid of this quality for all the bosses on co-op, because, oh boy, the extra stuff you have to put up with when everything has double health is outrageous.
youtuber:saying that the pawns are the easiest boss in dlc
me who died on them 10 times: i love your funny words magic man.
After beating Salt baker I tried all of them on expert and the changes they made are probably some of the biggest and most notable ones in the entire game imo.
i thought the giant was actually the easiest boss it took me 5 trys to beat and the other bosses were way harder
Honestly
It's the easiest for me too (besides the King's Challenges fights).
Same
Maybe doing an S-rank journey would yield some different results, like how Chef Saltbaker somehow managed to put MORE things on screen, like a second sentient fireball.
I got my S rank on glumstone using crackshot for first and third phases and twister for second. crackshot will automatically handle the gnomes on the ground for you in first phase and also makes pretty quick work of the last phase since other weapons are hard to hit it with. and twister of course is great for phase 2, no explanation necessary there
lol same

If you play the Knight VERY aggressively you can actually hit his parry mane after the uppercut. Just get very good at recognizing which move is coming (he doesn’t make a sword or horse sound for the uppercut) and jump dash into the mane as soon as the sword goes down. I cleared the Knight with zero parry misses last night that way.
bro winchester was so hard for me the only reason i somehow beat it was because a glitch happened where when they had the vacuum and started shooting out these safes, she just stopped shooting safe while still doing the animation , and I just kept shooting them until i beat it
For the second phase of #1, you can just go all the way to the right with spread and nothing will hit you lol
10:34 glad I wasn’t the only one.
