"A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency to me."
I have seen that phrase fixed to the door of more than one professor's offiice. That's because it really is true.
People, always remember that you’re free to leave. Never make yourself believe you’re stuck in a job, because you always have choices. Just don’t leave your current job before finding your next job, that will lead to a whole new set of problems
Also don't mention you're looking for other jobs. I've known people who simply book flexi leave for interviews, then announce they're moving when they get it
@@Sootielove I'd like to think that goes without saying, but thanks for pointing it out, because some people do strange things these days.
@@farab4391 Unfortunately I have seen it happen 😬
If not finding a new job before leaving the old one means problems you're not free to leave then are you? Lol! Dunce.
@@TheFakeyCakeMaker you are still free to leave, it’s just an issue of time, not an issue of choice
"Perhaps we could all work together on this, and so despite my incompetence, I'll get the big bonus and you'll just possibly not get laid off".
You got the micro expressions down pat! Almost induced my past trauma of working under such managers
Let's all work together on this...I, the manager, will be working 9 - 5, Monday - Friday, you'll be working 25 hours a day, Monday - Sunday, ...Cheers!
I have been a “team player” for the past 3 years. Now I just accepted a supervisory position. Hopefully I can help prevent these situations from unfolding the way they used to.
I've giggled 😂😂😂😂. "It's getting awkward for me. It could get awkward for you" 😂😂😂😂😂
You are gold! Perfect facial expressions.
No problem heres awkward..you said you were short staffed? Guess what..it just got worse. i quit. Bye"
"We need team players."
"So why weren’t you a team player when you failed us all, your team, by not planning correctly."
Sadly it reminded me of a lot of stress in a project last year. But never forget, that everyone will profit from this project! Well, I haven't received anything by now and also couldn't get the time back, but hey, all for the company!
That worker clearly doesn’t adhere to the family atmosphere!
“family”
I am cracking UP! 🤣 🤣🤣
Please keep doing these!! I love them and resonate with them so hard!!
Flashbacks to places I have worked.... PTSD maybe?
Oh no, not notes in my employee file! Don't sully my chances for advancement which I never had anyway.
I love these videos. They’re hilarious and they really capture the nonsense of corporate incompetence, bad management, workers expected to “do more with less” so big shots get bigger bonuses, and the whole senior management “spin” when company performance is disappointing because of stupid policy decisions that they themselves made despite being advised otherwise. Glad I’m retired and out of that crap and I bet it’s a thousand times worse nowadays. I feel bad for the kids stuck in today’s corporate world.
“It could get awkward” yeah, especially when they realize you don’t actually have to be there and you will take the fall to stand up for everyone else. 😂😂😂
Oh my gosh! I freaking love you so much! Keep posting these cool videos because you are so relatable, and made my day beautiful lady ❤
This probably 99% of all work places...
Quiet quitting where you do what your job description is and that is all. Gone are the days of working hard for a promotion, once you don't give a fuck and do just that you'll find most jobs quite easy.
it just sucks that most companies learnt all the disgusting tricks from each other worldwide, and now all job description contains literally the "...and whatever sht your boss tells you to do" as the last sentence. Then good look sticking to your job description. These videos are indeed very well and funnily done, but real life is much much more sinister than these situations presented here. Most of the time you will be very carefully and cleverly strategucally cornered by your manager and/or hr.
@@ricsipit doesn’t even get to that point for me. I cave when it gets to the “if we fail to deliver, our finding will get cancelled”.
a lack of planning always leads to pizza parties
Love the phony smile. typical cooperate. I screwed up ,now you fix it.
Yes, been there.
Truth
I am so glad I'm retired.
This so reminds me of a Joyce Grenfell monologue. If you don’t know who that is, go look
her up.
I am absolutely certain that the lady has heard her monologues the style is so similar and enjoyable.
Perhaps. I've never heard of Joyce Grenfell. I'll check her out. But the reason it's resonating with so many of the folks here making comments is that it's a very common experience in the corporate world and beyond.
Do I get paid for the overtime?
Sounds like the military!
Always avoid last minute Friday meeting requests.
" The Office" continues.....
When I hear team player, I start looking for another job. I'm an overachiever, so a team usually means I get tied down with baggage, which lowers my performance, which will reflect poorly on my next review. Fix your garbage reviews or sod off with your team player nonsense - you forced me to be this way just to survive.
You don’t reward team players
I work late but get paid so i dont mind. If i was salaried od cry
Sure. How much extra money are you going to pay me?
