  • This week we leave Hamelin Station and head into Sharkbay.
We stay for 3 nights at Monkey Mia where Tiff is picked to hand feed a wild dolphin and we spot Dugongs on a boat cruise!
From there we move onto Francois Peron National Park where the red cliffs meet the beach to do some 4x4ing and exploring.
Next week we are in Kalbarri to check out the new Sky Walk attraction in the National Park.
    Cheers!

Great dad joke. It might be exploration of the wallet. But it’s still pretty cool. All though 3hrs is almost as long as the Penguins at Phillip island. But at least the penguins is part of their normal life Another good vid. Francois National Park looks awesome. Glad u got to see your dug one too.
Tiff is like my missus. She loves the cruises and gets see sick at the drop of a hat too 😆

Hey Guys, great places you're stopping at. Reminds me of a visit I did in 1988 to Monkey Mia when it was only a caravan park for vans and tents and the road from Denham to MM was dirt. We'd walk down with a few dozen people and JOIN the rangers in the water and let the dolphins swim between us. We were allowed to touch the dolphins even, as long as we kept away from their blowhole or eyes. And me and me mate just wandered down outside the official time and the dolphins would swim up to us. It was indeed an experience.
Oh and it was probably $5 to pitch the tent and the dolphins were free of course, as they should always be!
    Cheers, Richard

For Tif. If you are prone to seasickness this is what to do. Take one seasick pill 2 nights before you go out and more the night before then one in the morning of the trip. This works and you get over thick tongue syndrome. I lived in Cervantes for 30 yrs and when i went out deep I would take sardine and onion sandwiches. and eat them when the Melda mere set in. Worked a treat but an acquired taste.
