Congrats to the winner. Yay!!! If you haven’t ordered yarn from Deborah do yourself a favor and order. Not only is the yarn a dream to knit/crochet with but she as a business person is really outstanding. She not only responded to a question I had the same day - it was within the same couple hours. Very rare to be treated so well. 👏🙂👏
Wow! What an extremely sweet and generous review. Thank you so much for watching, commenting, and for supporting my shop. You are awesome! ⭐️
❤️❤️❤️❤️the Barbie sign 😀😀
Oh, I'm so excited to win! Thank you so much!
Thank you for watching and commenting!
Totally agree about the Barbie movie. It was well done for what it was but too politically biased. LOVE the Barbie sign!
Thank you Tara!
Ooooh golly. That fox is just the cutest! So happy to hear about the new baby!
Thank you!
Hi, thanks for another podcast. I felt the same way about the Barbie movie too. It is good to know I am not the only one to feel this way. Everyone it seems is raving about it.
I recently saw another review about it that has given me another perspective. I don't know that this will ever be a favorite movie for me, but I am not feeling quite as disappointed about it now.
Care Bears!!! 😍🥰😍🥰😍 I can't even say the words! Love love love love love love love love love! XOXO it was a board game! XOXO 🤗
You're the best!
Great podcast as always……❤🎉
Glad you enjoy it! I truly appreciate you coming back each episode to watch and comment.
Congratulations on becoming a grandmother!🎉
Thank you so much 😀
I love the Fox and your cross stitch.
Awe, thank you.
Birds custard!! Yum. My mum used to buy and use it so I now do as do my three daughters.
We use cows milk(we are farmers) it’s delicious hot or cold . Hot with fruit crumbles , sweet pies or onto the top of jelly to make a trifle.
Regarding knitting think I’m a process knitter but also
enjoy the product at the
end. We have a new 7 week
Old granddaughter so happy to be able to knit little people clothes but I’m no way so prolific as you.
Enjoy your new grandson.
How neat that you are farmers, and congratulations on the birth of your granddaughter!
So Good! like chatting with a neighbor
Thank you for watching!
When I was a child in Ireland my mother always made Bird Custard to serve over stewed rhubarb Delicious We can buy the canisters here in the stores that sell international products. Always enjoy your podcasts .
Interesting! Thank you for sharing.
I was so happy to see your yarns in my Row One subscription! They are all perfect and I'm looking forward to knitting them all into my cozy memories blanket.
How awesome! Thank you for sharing!
Hi Deborah, I am in Raspberry heaven as well here in B.C., I think it was the best year for raspberries! I have been loving picking every morning! Happy summer, Melissa.
Glad to hear it's not only my crop that is booming!
I was so surprised and delighted to see your yarn in the mail! I am making a jelly roll blanket with my subscription but I did set aside several of yours to eventually cast on a Color Craze shawl ❤
What fun projects!
Talents abound!!! I'd love to wind a tube of Felici and try cutting in heeled cuffs and toes!
Come on over! We'll crank a tube together.
Your yarn is so beautiful! I love that dress you sewed - so pretty. You are so talented!
That is so kind of you to say. Thank you for watching.
I'm a little of both as a knitter too. I love the process, but I also love having the product. Knitting and crocheting are very soothing for me. They give me warm fuzzies. 🥰 I love the things you've made! Your mermaid cowl is beautiful. Love your Barbie sign too! 😍 I flick when knitting also. I have arthritis in my thumbs and a couple times now, the palm of my left hand has cramped up badly. Blue Emu helps fairly well with the arthritis pain. I'm knitting the Syncopation Socks (free pattern on Ravelry) now for my husband. Take care and thank you for sharing!
Blue Emu? I will need to look that one up. The last pair of socks I knit for my husband was based off of the Syncopation Socks pattern. How are you enjoying it?
@@candyshoppeyarns I like the looks of it, but I do get bored with it. 😅 I just finished the first sock today. I enjoyed learning the Fleegle heel for it! I love to learn new techniques! And I haven't done toe up socks very often, so am enjoying patterns that call for it. I found that I like the Turkish cast on best.
Depends on the garment whether I’m a process or project knitter. Hate to say it, but I just don’t wear what I make. Crazy huh! So I love to knit and do it for relaxation and calming. I got your Row One skeins, and love ALL the colors! I really haven’t made up my mind on what I want to make.
I understand. I often make, not knowing who the item will end up going to, but I just make it anyway. It's fun for me to hear from those who received the Row One subscription with my yarn. Thank you for sharing.
Great episode Deborah. Love love love your lilac color set. In response to your question, I set two goals for myself this year in knitting, try 9” circulars for my sock knitting and learn to flick so I can knit faster. Immediately started with the 9” circulars and I love them! I then started working on the flicking technique, I stopped myself and realized….I don’t want to knit faster, this is supposed to be all about fun and relaxation. I’ve returned to my slinging and have really found the relaxing rhythm so therapeutic. This world is too focused on going and doing. It’s my goal to slow down. 😜😊
It's true, isn't it? Knitting doesn't always have to be about speed. It can be about enjoying the process. I have been better about that in life, in general the past several years. I literally stop and smell the roses every day that they are blooming. Here's to the slow-down knitting club!
@@candyshoppeyarns amen!
Hello Deborah, I really enjoy all of your podcasts, could you please share the link to your neck light again. Thank you so much.
Sorry that it took me several days to get back to you, but the link is sent to you through your IG account.
@@candyshoppeyarns Thank you so much, I received it. It will be here on Thursday. Thanks
My arthritis is seriously cramping my crafting style. If I'm hurting, I just knit a few stitches, then stop for a minute or two. It's on the table in front of me. As I watch stuff on my computer, I'll pick it up and put it down constantly. I have a right-handed knitting style, very basic, and I've learned a continental knitting style, so I switch off, but only one style per project, because they give me different tensions.
I've learned the Norwegian method (too much wrist twisting for the purl) and the Portuguese method (repetitive injury for thumb flicking). So interesting, though! I'm always looking out to see how other people knit and crochet. It's fascinating, and so cool that there are so many different ways to do it. I told my daughter that if I can't knit or crochet any longer, I'll just play with the yarn! 😂😋😜
We have birds custard in canada. I put bananas in it. We had that all the time i was growing up. Also use it in trifle and use to put it on dish of bottled plums. Great projects Deborah. You r an inspiration
Yes, I learned to flick years ago because I have arthritis and was also having a lot of pain in my wrist from carpal tunnel syndrome. Flicking helped that, but then caused tennis elbow pain. I spent a year learning as many different knitting techniques as I could to see what would help the most just like you have been doing. In the end, I find I do different things depending on the project, weight of yarn, and how my hands feel. Mostly, I just slow down and don't knit as often. I am with you though, knitting or not, yarn is just fun!
